About thirty minutes had passed since Cassis had been led away.

Two burly men unlocked the door and entered. They approached Cassis, ready to fasten restraints and chains on him.

“We’re already putting him in restraints. Do we really need all these chains? It’s annoying.”

“Just hurry up. We’ll get a scolding if we’re late.”

Perhaps because Cassis was quietly allowing them to put on the restraints without a word, they didn’t seem particularly wary of him.

“Where are you taking me?”

Cassis looked up at them, his voice calm.

“This bastard, how dare you speak like that?”

So, Roxana was attending a tea party hosted by someone named Maria, and they were instructed to bring him along.

Suddenly, the mark on his neck, still tender, flashed in his mind.

It was a mark made to be seen, a display. Perhaps she really intended to show him off to others.

The thought sparked a small heat within him, making his stomach churn.

Cassis tilted his head slightly, avoiding the hand reaching out to gag him.

“What? Can’t you stay still?”

Cassis’s gaze, which had been fixed on the men in front of him, slid towards the door.

The door was slightly ajar, the locks undone. In an instant, the muscles in Cassis’s arm tensed.

If he hadn’t sensed someone’s presence outside the open door at that moment, Cassis would have immediately acted on the thought in his head.

The person who entered was a boy with black hair and blue eyes.

Unlike his pretty appearance, like a pampered pet, his eyes resembled those of an untamed wild animal.

He had expected it from the moment he saw the black hair: this was a son of Lant Agriche.

The subordinates were at a loss for words at the blatant criticism of Maria, one of the Agriche’s madams.

They couldn’t agree with Jeremy and insult Maria, nor could they refute his words in front of Jeremy.

Fortunately, Jeremy didn’t seem to care much about their reaction and continued casually.

“But I don’t remember my sister saying she’d take a toy to that tea party?”

“Maybe she changed her mind? We also heard that Master Deon told us to bring Lady Roxana’s toy to the greenhouse right away……”

Jeremy looked even more twisted that Cassis hadn’t avoided his fist.

It seemed he had intended to induce him to act as he wanted by pretending to attack him, but he was annoyed that Cassis didn’t move as he wanted.
