“Oh my goodness, Do-hyun. How did you manage to book a place like this?”
The day before the performance.
The staff were rushing around the club, setting up the sound equipment and everything else.
Do-hyun, who had arrived late on a flight, was more than satisfied with the club’s interior, which was much better than he had expected.
After a quick sound check, the acoustics were decent, and the venue could hold about 500 people.
It seemed he could host the ideal club performance he had envisioned.
“Oh… I just got lucky.”
“No, seriously, this is too good! This is where famous international musicians perform! It’s amazing you booked it in just a few days! Did you see the long line outside? They’re all here to see your performance, Do-hyun. This show will definitely calm the angry fans….”
Do-hyun felt pleased seeing the club, which looked great even to him.
He hadn’t been able to visit in person when it was just a candidate, but he had chosen a good place.
Plus, there was the long line he had seen earlier, just as the staff had said.
The cheers when they saw Do-hyun entering the club, the shouts of “Thank you, Na Do-hyun!” still echoed in his ears.
They couldn’t have as much stage equipment as a large concert hall.
However, they had paid attention to the sound system since it had to be a live band performance.
Once the sound was set and the seating was arranged, it became a really great venue.
Do-hyun’s heart was pounding.
He wanted this performance to leave the fans with good memories.
Even though the hosting company had run off with the money, forcing them to prepare everything anew.
The fans also had to re-purchase their tickets. And even with a ticket, entry was on a first-come, first-served basis, so they had to wait for days.
“Did you know that your fans came here and set up tents as soon as the club performance was confirmed?”
“Of course. I know everything. That’s why I’m trying to put on an even better show.”
“I have a good feeling about this performance. I don’t know what the company will think, but I’m all for you doing shows like this.”
A staff member whispered.
Lee Jun-hyuk PD [Production Director] was also present at the venue.
He regretted not listening to Do-hyun and had come along to put his full effort into the club performance.
“Do-hyun?”
Do-hyun turned around at the sound of the PD’s voice.
“PD-nim [term of respect for the Production Director].”
“This venue is quite nice, isn’t it? The sound balance is good too. I heard that even musicians from New York have a hard time booking this place. How did you manage to get it?”
The club had subtly mentioned that another singer was originally scheduled to perform on the day Do-hyun wanted.
But that performance had been canceled about 30 minutes before Do-hyun contacted them, and the club was planning to operate as a live bar as usual.
It was at that moment that Do-hyun’s call came from a faraway land!
“I just got lucky.”
Do-hyun answered modestly.
He hadn’t chosen the card of heavenly luck for nothing.
This incredible timing could only be attributed to luck, and he was convinced he had chosen the card well.
Do-hyun was confident that the performance would be a success.

The thought of meeting the fans up close made him excited about the performance.
The New York performance was scheduled for three days to heal the hearts of the fans who had been hurt by the absence of the performance agency.
He hoped to heal the fans’ hearts and create good memories over the three days.
“Ugh, I’m tired.”
Kang-ho stretched and said.
Do-hyun was in the waiting room, practicing guitar after finishing his makeup and styling.
Even though he had brought all the session musicians for the band live, he couldn’t leave out the stage where he played himself.
“Do-hyun, aren’t you tired? We’ve been to Los Angeles, Japan, Korea, and now New York. My body feels sluggish.”
Do-hyun felt the same way.
He had only been able to catch a few winks of sleep. And that was only to get some rest for the stage performances.
“I’m similar, hyung [older brother/male friend]. But I’m the one who has to be on stage, so I can manage if I get even a little bit of sleep to keep my condition up.”
“You’re tough, really tough.”
Kang-ho was seeing Do-hyun in a new light through this opportunity.
Usually, when things get canceled due to internal issues like this, many singers would just upload an apology on social media and prepare for the next opportunity.
But Do-hyun was so passionate about performing that he was even spending his own money to hold a concert at a club in New York.
This was rare once someone reached a certain level of popularity.
Finding a larger venue was the priority, and there were often attempts to set records in bigger concert halls.
‘Seriously, he’s a tough one. That’s how he managed to stay in the entertainment industry no matter what.’
Kang-ho thought to himself, though he didn’t say it out loud.
“Hyung, get some sleep too. There are still a couple of hours left until the performance anyway.”
“No, I’ll check things out a bit more. I need to go see what’s happening outside. You should get some shut-eye.”
With those words, Kang-ho left the waiting room.
Do-hyun gave up his seat on the sofa to the stylist and makeup artist, who were sitting slumped in the corner.
Then he moved to a chair and focused on practicing his guitar.
‘I hope this performance will be a good gift for the fans. Really.’

The performance, which had the same setlist as the one at the Korean Gymnastics Arena with a few encore songs added, was successfully completed.
Near the end of the last day’s performance.
“Everyone, thank you so much for coming to this performance! Thank you for waiting for me.”
Some fans even cried.
Do-hyun also felt emotional seeing that, but he held it in.
“Don’t cry. Not on this happy day. Seeing you cry makes me want to cry too.”
Don’t cry! Don’t cry! Don’t cry!
Don’t crying Do-hyun!
“I’m not crying. I think you must have been heartbroken when you heard that the concert was canceled. Nevertheless, thank you for coming to the third day of the performance. Let’s make some really good memories.”
“We’re the ones who are grateful you came!”
At that voice, the fans rummaged through their bags and held something up towards Do-hyun.
[Our 24 hours are happy because they are with you]
It was a slogan with that phrase written on it.
Soon, a staff member brought a slogan to Do-hyun as well.
Even Do-hyun, who had been calm by reading tarot cards to predict the future, had some insecurities in his heart.
Seeing the slogan held up by the fans, he was overwhelmed with emotion and tears streamed down his face.
“Ah, I really wasn’t going to cry, but you guys are making me cry….”
Don’t cry! Don’t cry! Don’t cry!
“Everyone, you don’t know how grateful and wonderful it is that I can be a part of your 24 hours. Thank you so much.”
Do-hyun sent a warm gaze to the fans who were looking at him from inside the small venue.
He didn’t want to forget a single face.
Today’s memories would be a great source of strength for him in his life. It was a stage that he would always miss when he thought of his early days.
“The New York performance is wrapping up like this, and we’ll be moving on to another place. But please don’t forget this one thing: that I cherish and adore you all, our Honeys [term of endearment for fans], very much. That’s all I need.”

The next place they moved to was LA [Los Angeles].
After flying to LA, I was exhausted.
My throat was slightly hoarse.
As soon as I arrived at the LA accommodation, I just fell asleep, even after hearing Ho-ya hyung’s suggestion to go out for a meal.
When I woke up, it was night.
Really, adjusting to the time difference is difficult.
I turned on a live SNS [Social Networking Service] broadcast, thinking of the fans in Korea.
└It’s Do-hyun!
└Hyun-ie hi
└Oppa [term for older brother/male friend used by females]! English Plz~
└Do-hyun, long time no see, how are you?
└Are you in LA now?
“Ah, everyone. I’m in LA… It’s been a while since I’ve done a live broadcast like this.”
└What are you doing now?
“Right now… I’m doing a live broadcast like this. I missed you all. It hasn’t been a few days since I was on stage, but I miss it so much.”
└Romantic our Do-hyun, I love you
“I love you too, everyone. Is there a song you want to hear? Actually, my throat is a little hoarse.”
└Please sing With You, oppa
At those words, Do-hyun sang a part of ‘With You.’
The comment section was on fire.
└Na Do-hyun’s voice is honey
└I can’t believe I can hear Na Do-hyun’s voice at this time
└I’m watching the live broadcast secretly from my boss right now
“Secretly from your boss…! Thank you. I’m doing this secretly from my manager hyung too. My manager hyung is probably fast asleep in the next room.”
└Do-hyun, is the venue for this performance a big cafe? Is that okay?
That’s right.
Do-hyun had listed the candidate venues in the same way as the New York performance, and as a result, a place that operated both a bookstore and a cafe was confirmed as the concert venue.
“If you look at famous musicians, they perform in places like that too. It’s also a broadcast program. It’s good to meet a lot of people in a large venue, but meeting you in a venue like this has a special meaning for me. Can you feel my heart?”
└We know our Do-hyun’s heart ㅠㅠ Who would know if not Honey
└Do you have any plans to do a club tour in Korea too? Or busking like the last time in Yeonnam-dong [neighborhood in Seoul]!
“Of course, if I have the opportunity in Korea, I’m thinking of trying it. I’m going to suggest it to the company first. It’s good to perform for a day or two in a large venue, but wouldn’t it be nice to have monthly Do-hyun with a club performance? With a variety of setlists.”
└Na Do-hyun is indeed a genius who knows how to learn
└Do-hyun, do I have a seat? What if I don’t have a seat even for the dinner show?
└See you at the dinner show! I’ll go with a cane! Even if my knee joints get tough, I’ll definitely go!
“Haha… Why is everything you guys say so lovely? Actually, I’m a bit dazed because I haven’t fully adjusted to the time difference, but you guys make me laugh.”
└We’ll always be the darkness for you, you always shine
“Hey, don’t be the darkness. You guys are the light to me. I can’t shine like this.”
└You must be very tired, are you eating well? Your cheekbones have gone in, our Hyun-ie ㅠㅠ
└ Eat well, Hyun-ie!
└Hyun-ie, there’s someone behind you
“Someone… yes?”
Do-hyun turned around, but no one was there.
Then, comments telling them not to joke like that flooded the comment section.
“Ah, it’s a joke. Anyway, everyone. I’ve been with you for a short time, so I’m going to go eat and practice some more. Those who are meeting at the LA venue, please wait a little longer! I love you!”
After ending the live broadcast, Do-hyun ordered something simple to eat with room service.
He was planning to sleep soundly again after eating this.
His throat condition wasn’t as good as he thought.
He wasn’t sure if he could give the fans as good a stage in LA as he had in New York.
‘Taking care of myself is also something a singer has to do. Let’s get a good night’s sleep and get back to normal condition from tomorrow’s rehearsal!’
Ding-dong—
It seemed like room service had arrived.
Do-hyun went near the door and opened it.
However…….
“Do-hyun sunbaenim [term of respect for senior colleagues]!”
“Oh? ……Why is my junior here?”
Hyun-ho of Icarus was standing there.
