107. The Beginning and the End (1)
…Crazy.
I stared at the chaotic house, speechless.
I just blankly gazed at the mess.
It was something I had never even imagined.
It wasn’t like I had just gone on a short trip.
After months of exhausting overseas filming, I came home, weary, to what should have been a place of comfort. What on earth was going on?
My face flushed.
But I didn’t feel particularly angry.
I was just too busy trying to understand the situation.
“Haa, haa….”
My heart was racing like crazy, and my pupils were darting around.
Only after a few seconds did I finally snap out of it.
“What… the…!”
Suddenly alert, I quickly took a step back.
And hurriedly grabbed my cell phone.
Because Kim, my manager, was the first person who came to mind.
He answered the phone before the second ring.
“Hyung!”
-Oh, Heeseong-ah. Did you get home okay?
“Where are you?”
-I’m still near your house, stuck at a light. Why?
“Quickly… come to my house….”
Sensing something was wrong from my panting voice, Kim seemed to realize something had happened.
I heard the sound of a rapid U-turn over the phone.
Screech-.
-Okay, I’ll be right there.
In response to his words, I swallowed hard instead of answering.
It was a reaction from extreme tension.
-Heeseong-ah, can you tell me what happened now?
“Someone… seems to have broken into the house….”
-What?
Kim’s voice was full of agitation.
He took a deep breath to calm himself.
-Okay. Wait a minute, I’ll call you right back. Don’t move!
“Okay.”
That’s how the call with Kim ended.
Unable to readily step into the house, I waited.
Five minutes passed.
This kind of thing, something you’d only see in movies or dramas.
Who on earth broke into this house, whether it was a thief or something else, I had no idea.
It was too dangerous to rashly enter the house alone.
A one-room apartment [a small studio apartment] that you have to climb a long way to reach.
Why would anyone come to my shabby, small one-room apartment?
I couldn’t find the answer at all.
Even though there’s nothing to steal, I can’t tolerate someone breaking into my personal space.
Then.
Thump, thump, thump.
“Haa, haa. Heeseong-ah!”
Kim ran up with hurried footsteps.
“Hyung!”
He jumped out of the car and ran up, his face red as if it would explode.
His expression clearly showed how worried he was about me.
“You didn’t go inside, did you?”
He asked as he ran, and I nodded, looking at the open door.
Kim came up to me, patted me on the shoulder, and said.
“Good job. The police are coming right away.”
He must have called the police right after hanging up.
Of course, calling the police would have been the first thing to do in this situation.
But my mind was so blank that I called Kim instead of the police.
Because he’s always there to protect me.
Just the fact that Kim was next to me made me feel relieved.
We looked at each other and nodded.
“Let’s not go all the way inside, in case we contaminate any fingerprints.”
I nodded at his words.
We slightly squeezed through the open front door.
Since it was a small house, we could see the inside clearly without having to go all the way in.
“Haa….”
Kim gasped and sighed, his mouth wide open at the sight before him.
I took another step forward, turned my head, and looked inside.
All the storage spaces, including the closet and drawers, were open.
The situation was even more serious than what I had seen from outside the door.
Snap-!
I reached out and turned on the light.
The bright house contrasted with the dark outside.
But the state of the house was more chaotic than the dark street outside.
The living room was cluttered, and the bedding and pillows on the bed were jumbled up.
My face became more and more distorted at the severity of it.
Kim patted my trembling body and said.
“Heeseong-ah, first….”
That moment when Kim was trying to comfort me.
Suddenly.
“Aaaaaah!”
A black object ran out of the bathroom.
Very dark, disheveled long hair.
A woman wearing a hat pulled down low ran out.
She made eye contact with me.
……!
And with wide eyes, she ran and bumped into me.
Without budging, she quickly pushed Kim away and ran out of the house.
Dada dada dada….
“Stop right there!”
Rapid footsteps running away.
Kim shouted at her.
Kim, who had staggered from her push, got up and started chasing after her.
The moment I saw her suddenly pop out, my legs gave way.
I didn’t run with Kim.
No, I couldn’t.
My face turned blue, and I could feel my lips trembling.
This scene of a long-haired woman running out of the bathroom in my home, which was a mess.
It was the most terrifying moment of my life.
It wasn’t just my lips that were trembling.
Even the hand pointing to the bathroom was trembling.
I was so dazed that I couldn’t get up from my seat.
After a few minutes.
Kim came to me, panting.
He was with the police.
“…Hyung!”
“Heeseong-ah.”
Kim rushed to me, finding me sitting on the floor.
He stroked my shoulder and said in a small voice.
“It’s okay….”
I just nodded at his words.
“Fortunately, the police arrived on the first floor and caught that woman just now.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, they left for the police station right away.”
At those words, I let out a deep sigh of relief.
“You didn’t go inside, did you?”
The police looked at me and Kim and asked.
Kim opened his mouth instead of me.
“Yes, we only went as far as the shoe rack, and when we first came in….”
He got up and started explaining the situation to the police.

Tap tap!
“Don’t mess around, answer the question!”
A noisy police station.
The police frowned and slammed the table with his palm, shouting at her.
“Name.”
The woman sitting across from him, with her head bowed, opened her mouth at the firm, cold tone.
“…Jeong Yeojin.”
Typing, typing-.
With Jeong Yeojin’s words, the police typed.
She blinked blankly.
“Look. You can say your name so well, but why won’t you answer how you knew the address?”
He sighed briefly and asked.
The police had repeated the same question five times already.
“How did you know Jin Heeseong’s address!”
He asked, his eyes rolling as if he had reached his limit.
Jeong Yeojin murmured in a small voice.
“I followed him.”
The police’s face contorted at her words.
“Since when?”
“A few months ago… I followed oppa [term used by younger women to address older brothers or male friends] after his schedule ended.”
“To his house?”
“Yes.”
The corners of Jeong Yeojin’s lips twisted slightly.
She smiled, thinking of Jin Heeseong’s face.
“But oppa seduced me first….”
The police’s brow twitched at Jeong Yeojin’s tone.
She stretched her mouth so much that it was chilling and said.
“Heeseong oppa loves me.”
Jeong Yeojin raised her head high, looked at the police, and smiled.
“Ah, of course, I love oppa too.”
The police maintained a firm face at her words and replied.
“So why did you go into that house today?”
Jeong Yeojin flinched slightly at his stiff tone and cold eyes.
She scratched her head and answered.
“I knew he was coming back to Korea from overseas today through SNS [Social Networking Service].”
“Jin Heeseong’s SNS?”
“No. I saw it on a movie staff’s SNS.”
The police stared intently into her eyes and asked.
“So what exactly did you do there?”
“I was just… waiting for oppa.”
Tap tap!
The police slammed the table with his palm and asked again.
“Jeong Yeojin, answer me straight. What were you waiting to do there!”
Jeong Yeojin trembled at his shout.
Soon, she put on an innocent face again and bowed her head.
Then, she chewed on her fingernails.
Her appearance seemed anxious.
The police continued to look at her face and said.
“What were you hiding in that house to do to Jin Heeseong!”
“…….”
Jeong Yeojin kept her head down, rolling her eyes around.
Blood was already pooling on her constantly bitten fingernails.
“I just… I just wanted to talk to oppa.”
“What?”
The police’s eyebrows twitched.
She raised her head and looked at him.
Then, she waved her hand and shouted.
“I didn’t have any other thoughts. I just… I really wanted to see oppa and talk to him.”
Her voice trembled.
The police didn’t budge an inch at her words.
“I… I like oppa, no, I love him. But why would I hurt oppa.”
At Jeong Yeojin’s words, he shook his head and continued the investigation.

“Ah, our oppa looks so handsome today too….”
Park Soonhee looked at Jin Heeseong’s SNS with a happy face, hearts pouring from her eyes.
“Our Heeseong oppa communicates with fans through SNS, is oppa really an angel?”
She stroked her cell phone with her hand and raised the corners of her lips.
Then, she tied her hair up and headed to her room.
She shook the mouse to bring up the computer screen that was in power saving mode.
And hurriedly double-clicked on the internet.
“I have to start the day by searching for our oppa again today. Hehe.”
She shrugged her shoulders and searched for ‘Jin Heeseong’ on the internet.
Even though it was Jin Heeseong’s profile picture that she always saw, she smiled at the picture as if she was seeing it for the first time.
She moved the mouse down and started looking for newly uploaded posts.
Then, articles came into her eyes.
“Huh?”
Park Soonhee hurriedly clicked on the list of articles.
“Oppa hasn’t been released yet, why are there so many articles?”
She widened her eyes as she looked at the list of Jin Heeseong’s articles that had appeared without her knowing.
And she started reading the article titles as if she was interested.
Gradually, her face was frowning.
“What on earth is this?”
[Jin Heeseong “Terrible stalking…”]
[Woman arrested for stalking actor… Intruded into Jin Heeseong’s house]
[Sasaeng fans [obsessive fans] are not fans. Emergency in the entertainment industry!]
[Love of fans crossing the line. That’s not love, it’s a crime]
[Jin Heeseong, stalking is not fandom. Stalker arrested for trespassing….]
Park Soonhee’s mouth dropped open after reading the article titles.
Tingles ran down her spine.
She frowned and read the articles carefully, then shouted as if something came to mind.
“No way…!”
And hurriedly started looking for information about Jin Heeseong and the stalker.
Although not much time had passed, she was able to quickly find the information she wanted in the vast amount of articles and data.
Park Soonhee shouted and jumped up from her seat.
“This crazy bitch!”
She shook her head, gasping for breath.
“Jeong Yeojin… I thought she was suspicious from the time she posted strange things on the fan cafe.”
Park Soonhee clicked on her mailbox.
And checked the contents of her email to HS Entertainment once again.
“Look at this. I even contacted the company because I thought this would happen….”
Her eyes turned red as she thought of Jin Heeseong, who must have been suffering.
Soon, she wiped away her tears with her hand and bit her lip.
“This is 100% the agency ignoring the warning. They could have prevented this from happening to our oppa.”
Park Soonhee clicked on Jin Heeseong’s SNS with a trembling voice.
And without hesitation, she pressed the message button that she could send to him.
She raised and lowered her shoulders and started typing.
‘Hello. I’m Park Soonhee, the operator of the fan cafe. I’m contacting you because I have something important to tell oppa. Actually….’
