342. Things Will Be Different When You Leave
“Is this guy crazy?” Woo Yeon-woo gaped, then couldn’t hold back his shout.
“Don’t you understand what ‘I don’t want you to leave’ means? It means I don’t want to see your face!”
“I know.”
“Then why are you here! Do you want to die?!”
“Because I need to see you.”
“I said I don’t want to see you! Isn’t my opinion important?”
“Your opinion is important too. But if it contradicts mine, my opinion is more important.”
‘Does this guy have no shame…?’ Woo Yeon-woo’s blood pressure rose, and he breathed heavily. He knew Rembrary was like this, but talking to him face-to-face was frustrating to the point of suffocation.
‘Okay. I’d rather just have him say what he needs to say and get lost. That’ll be better.’
In the end, Woo Yeon-woo stopped shouting, massaged his neck, and sat on the sofa.
“What is it? What is it that you had to come see someone who doesn’t want to see you? Say it and get out.”
However, when Rembrary sat right next to him, Woo Yeon-woo had to get up again in a flurry.
“Hey! Don’t get so close!”
“I just sat down.”
“You could sit further away!”
Even though Rembrary just shrugged, not moving, Woo Yeon-woo got even more annoyed and asked, seething, “Just say it quickly and please get out! Hurry!”
“I want to talk to ‘it’ inside you. Call it out.”
“‘It’? What are you talking about?”
“The Demon King.”
“!”
The Lion Lord, who had been yawning and looking around the Wild Animal dorm, stared at Woo Yeon-woo with wide eyes. The Demon King out of nowhere? There’s a Demon King inside him?
Woo Yeon-woo frowned and glared at Rembrary.
“Do you think I can just do that at will?”
If that were possible, he wouldn’t have been helplessly sobbing while Rembrary took over his body in the first place. Rembrary had come to find Woo Yeon-woo, but instead of being disappointed, as he had expected, he immediately followed up with a request.
“Then will you convey my words?”
“I can’t meet him. But how do I convey the words?”
“You can write it in a letter. Or write it on your phone.”
“Do you think I’ll listen to you?”
“It’s a matter of humanity’s safety.”
“What a joke. For humanity’s safety, you need to disappear, you know?”
Woo Yeon-woo was quite cowardly, so if humanity were really in danger, he wasn’t the type to insist, ‘I don’t care if humanity is destroyed.’ He would try to help in his own way, as long as it didn’t harm him.
However, Woo Yeon-woo blamed Rembrary for this situation. Naturally, he didn’t believe what Rembrary said.
In the end, Rembrary tried to persuade him a few more times before grabbing the Lion Lord to leave.
Then, after one instance of teleportation, they briefly stopped at a nearby playground, where someone spoke to them as they were about to teleport again.
“Shall I convey it for you?”
It wasn’t a voice from afar. Rembrary was surprised and widened his eyes at the voice right in front of him. Then, the background in front of him twisted in a circle like glitched graphics, and a human figure appeared there.
“Who are you?”
The person with dark brown hair had strangely colored eyes, somewhere between green and gray.
The ends of his eyebrows were raised, giving him a slightly irritable impression, and overall, he had a rebellious vibe. Despite his appearance, he was trying to smile, making him look like someone who was reluctantly smiling.
“Is that what they call a capitalist smile?”
Rembrary asked the Lion Lord, who shook his head, telling him not to ask him such things.
The man smiled once more and made a sweeping gesture with one hand as a greeting.
“I am Oh Wan, the road manager of Wild Animal.”
Rembrary crossed his arms and tilted his head.
“Since when do demons work as managers… Ah. I guess they could.”
‘Reapers do it too.’
“So, Manager, what brings you to me?”
“I have something to tell the Demon King.”
When did he hear about that? Rembrary raised his eyebrows. The sudden change of scenery right in front of him, too. Could this guy’s ability be to make his body transparent and erase his presence?
But what’s important now isn’t the guy’s ability. It’s worth remembering, though.
“Then you tell the Demon King. I want to see him.”
“He will be pleased.”
“That’s not good news.”
Oh Wan fixed his gaze on Rembrary and took out a business card from his pocket, offering it.
“If you need anything, please contact me.”
As the demon acted even more obediently than Woo Yeon-woo, Rembrary didn’t take the business card and just stared at Oh Wan with suspicious eyes.
“Why are you acting like one of my followers?”
“You never know what might happen. Whether it’s a human or a demon.”
When Rembrary took the business card with two fingers, Oh Wan smiled as if he found it interesting. Then, like when he appeared, his form changed like glitched graphics and completely disappeared into the surrounding background.
The Lion Lord tilted his head and looked at Rembrary.

At that moment, Woo Yeon-woo belatedly felt fear as Rembrary suddenly appeared and disappeared before his eyes, and he furiously punched a cushion like a sandbag.
‘If that Rembrary can move anywhere like that, isn’t that really dangerous?’ I can’t imagine how dangerous it is specifically, but it was definitely an unsettling ability.
‘It seemed like that lion-masked guy’s ability.’
Woo Yeon-woo, out of breath, put down the cushion and lay face down on the sofa. The loose threads torn from the cushion here and there as a result of fighting with Taein pricked him, but he didn’t want to lift his face because it was annoying.
However, the sound of the front door passcode being pressed made Woo Yeon-woo reluctantly lift his head.
“You look tired.”
The person who came in was the road manager, Oh Wan.
“Where did you go? I thought you were home.”
Oh Wan lifted a black bag containing something heavy and shook it slightly.
Woo Yeon-woo lowered his head again. Oh Wan was nice to him, but he was still a demon, so he didn’t want to have a long conversation.
However, Oh Wan deliberately approached Woo Yeon-woo and spoke to him.
“Aren’t you angry that Taein revealed something like that and left?”
Woo Yeon-woo frowned as his voice became more gentle than usual.
“What are you up to now that your voice is like that?”
Before, the demon had used that voice to induce Woo Yeon-woo to steal Rembrary’s music. The result wasn’t good. Rembrary’s song was strange at the end and couldn’t be sold, and Kim Mu-rok even broadcasted the incident on TV, causing the agency to get criticized.
Even when this recording was released, Woo Yeon-woo ended up taking about half of the criticism that the agency was getting, wasn’t he?
However, the demon continued to whisper in that voice that Woo Yeon-woo found ominous.
“Isn’t it too much? He enjoyed all the benefits thanks to you, and now he’s revealing something like that. Isn’t that really ungrateful? He’s good at singing, but he doesn’t have star quality. He wouldn’t have made it this far if he had come out alone. He succeeded as a solo artist with your halo and then betrayed you. What a terrible person, right?”
“!”
“When I went out earlier, I heard he’s going to a pretty solid small to medium-sized agency. It’s small to medium-sized, but you know, an agency where a genius composer is the CEO.”
“Millie Code?”
As Woo Yeon-woo gritted his teeth, Oh Wan’s voice became even lower.
“Taein can sing well. The CEO there can give Taein songs that perfectly suit his voice. Taein will probably have even greater success as a solo artist.”
“…….”
“Don’t you want revenge? He succeeded with your halo, then brought you down and went somewhere else. Don’t you hate seeing him succeed? He’s trying to buy wings and fly up with the price of bringing you down. That’s too much, right?”
‘I understand you. Only I understand you. Your revenge is justified. He’s all bad.’ Woo Yeon-woo clenched and unclenched his fists at the sweet, persuasive voice, then asked.
“How can I get revenge?”
“What do you want?”
“…I don’t know. But I don’t want to kill him or anything like that.”
The demon’s lips curled up.
“I’ll give you revenge that you’ll be satisfied with.”

Meanwhile, Rembrary, who had returned to the Redrine headquarters, pondered over future plans and then instructed Ardore to continue his work.
“Continue searching for Mullu, Nin-ling, and the Eastern Paladin.”
After sending Ardore away, he called Daeju and announced a new plan.
“It’s already been revealed that I have healing abilities anyway. So now I’m going to officially promote Redrine.”
Daeju wore a worried expression, but when Rembrary frowned, he smiled awkwardly and asked.
“Are you going to release another album?”
“Another? I was going to release one before but couldn’t.”
“That’s true.”
“And this time, I’m not going to release an album.”
“A photobook is a good idea. Because you don’t open your mouth.”
When Rembrary frowned again, Daeju widened his eyes and suddenly looked to the side.
The Lion Lord, who was sitting quietly next to him, was puzzled and asked, “Why?” Daeju pointed at him with his finger, looking wronged, then sighed and spoke to Rembrary in front of him again.
“Please continue.”
The Lion Lord was bewildered by Daeju’s sudden actions, but Daeju became serious and didn’t look to the side again.
It couldn’t be helped. In fact, this was a tactic Daeju used to pass off his slip of the tongue to the Lion Lord. Unfortunately, even Rembrary didn’t realize this high-level tactic.
“This time, I’m going to promote in a conventional way. By doing healing volunteer work.”
“That’s a good idea.”
“Announce that there’s a limit to the number of times I can use my healing abilities per day, and that I’ll prioritize healing for Redrine hunters and their families.”
‘Is there a limit to the number of times?’ The Lion Lord and Daeju were momentarily curious, but they couldn’t ask because Rembrary continued to speak.
“And say that I’ll heal heretics as well.”
“Yes.”
Daeju announced as Rembrary instructed, and added that Redrine would also accept ordinary believers who weren’t hunters.
“If you participate in the gathering only once a month, everyone will be accepted as members of Redrine and will receive the same treatment as affiliated hunters.”
People were grateful for the announcement, but they also laughed.
―LOL, isn’t it a total win if you only have to go to the gathering once a month? And it’s even free?
―I can be a believer anytime ^^.
―I’ll believe in Redrine only once a month LOLOLOLOL.
―Wouldn’t it be more profitable to charge money? Why do they do it like that? It’s pitiful to watch ㅠ.
ㄴDelete it, what are you going to do if that actually happens LOLOLOL.
The atmosphere was so blatantly mocking that the chief of staff captured all these comments and showed them to Daeju three days after the announcement, worried.
“Ordinary believers gathered in this way will only be interested in healing and won’t be of any help to Redrine-nim [referring to Rembrary]. Wouldn’t it be better to change direction? Raise the bar a little bit more…”
However, Daeju shook his head.
“If they come to a gathering where miracles happen, they will eventually have no choice but to believe in Redrine-nim. Let them laugh for now.”
Rembrary also calmly smiled and cut the cake.
“The entrance must be made big and wide, and the exit small and narrow. Everyone who is laughing now will say different things when they come in and when they leave.”
At that confident answer, the chief of staff exclaimed, “I see,” and thought, ‘But why is that healer sitting in the president’s chair?’
