535. You Mustn’t Get Caught
Unknowingly following the child who resembled Jang Tae-ri, Shin Jo-woon realized it was an illusion.
The child was a Saint. Not someone who should be appearing as an extra in a ghost mansion, especially one created by a demon.
However, Shin Jo-woon continued to follow the child. The familiar laughter echoed. This time, not from outside, but from within him.
After walking for a while, the child stopped in front of an alleyway. Shin Jo-woon also stopped.
The child didn’t look at Shin Jo-woon. The child was looking in another direction.
In that direction, a man stood pointing a gun at the child.
Surprisingly, the man had the same face as Shin Jo-woon himself.
‘It’s different.’
Shin Jo-woon wasn’t shocked. The child’s appearance was similar to the real one, but the situation was different from the past.
It was strange that his own face was pointing a gun, and other things as well.
But even knowing it’s different, he feels annoyed.
Seeing the child facing death again, and the threat being presented by someone imitating his face.
It was an illusion meant to irritate him, but knowing that, Shin Jo-woon was still displeased and froze the illusion of Nakru that looked exactly like him.
“!”
At the same time, his body also froze. This was definitely… unexpected.

Woo Yeon-woo, who had lost the Rembrary Shield, walked through the eerie hallway in fear, then spotted the Nin-Ling Shield and rushed towards it.
“Nin-Ling! Nin-Ling!”
Nin-Ling was looking around for Rembrary and didn’t turn away Woo Yeon-woo, who was asking for help.
“Since we came as a group anyway, let’s stick together. I’m not afraid of ghosts, so I can be helpful to Woo Yeon-woo.”
Woo Yeon-woo was touched by Nin-Ling’s kind words, feeling moved by someone for the first time in a while. How could someone be so kind!
Woo Yeon-woo was even more shocked that this kind person belonged to a cult.
He thought the Redrin followers were all suspicious Daejus [high-ranking members], crazy Ardors [zealous devotees], insane Rembrarys, Mulus who seemed normal but were fakes, and Redrin, who was a god but extremely biased.
He never expected someone like this to be among them.
“Th, thank you.”
Woo Yeon-woo clung to Nin-Ling’s back and greeted him timidly. The two set off together amicably.
However, as time passed, both Woo Yeon-woo and Nin-Ling became uncomfortable with each other.
Nin-Ling hardly attended meetings because he was taking care of the children, so Woo Yeon-woo was actually talking to Nin-Ling properly for the first time today.
It was a bit awkward to be stuck together in this ghost mansion when they barely knew each other.
It would have been better if Woo Yeon-woo had stayed about two steps away. It was even more so because Woo Yeon-woo was clinging tightly to Nin-Ling’s back.
But even knowing this, Woo Yeon-woo couldn’t give up the Nin-Ling Shield.
Eventually, Nin-Ling started telling Woo Yeon-woo stories that he thought would be interesting.
Telling stories wasn’t difficult for him since he had experience doing it whenever the children were fussy.
However, that was from the perspective of the person telling the stories. From the perspective of an adult listening, Nin-Ling’s children’s stories weren’t very interesting.
Woo Yeon-woo couldn’t stand it any longer and interrupted.
“Um, Nin-Ling. Is there really no one you want to save?”
“Well, it’s not that there’s no one, but there are too many to choose from.”
“Too many?”
“Yes. And even if there were, I wouldn’t save them in a place like this. Demons can’t revive dead people as ‘people.’”
Woo Yeon-woo nodded, remembering that these people from another world had come here to survive.
I see. That’s right. I hadn’t thought that far.
But if he just said, “Okay,” and ended the conversation, the atmosphere would become too dark. Woo Yeon-woo quickly changed the subject.
“Ah, then is there someone you want to find?”
“Someone I want to find?”
“Yes. I want to find my brother. He disappeared in Zone 1-1. But he’s still alive, so I can’t find him here.”
Fortunately, the dark atmosphere from before had eased a little. Was it just his imagination? The hallway seemed a bit brighter too.
“Well, there is one person I want to find.”
Woo Yeon-woo deliberately laughed loudly and joked.
“It’s not your lover, is it?”
“Of course not. The person I want to find is closer to an enemy.”
“An enemy? That’s surprising. Even someone as nice as Nin-Ling has an enemy?”
“Yes. There’s a piece of trash who went into the High Priest’s body, imitated the High Priest, and put our comrades in danger.”
“!”
Woo Yeon-woo was listening to Nin-Ling’s story with interest, then his eyes widened. That story about that piece of trash… why does it sound so familiar?
Woo Yeon-woo subtly took his hand off Nin-Ling’s back and took a half-step to the side, carefully examining his face.
Woo Yeon-woo was horrified.
That Nin-Ling! When Woo Yeon-woo was trapped in Rembrary’s body and dragged around by the demons, he was the one who shouted, ‘Die, fake High Priest!’ and attacked!
He was so scared and disoriented at the time that he didn’t get a good look at his face, and after coming here, he was so conscious of the annoying Shin Jo-woon that he didn’t properly see the other person.
But that scary attacker was that Nin-Ling! That nice Nin-Ling!
Woo Yeon-woo wanted to slap his own mouth for endlessly praising Nin-Ling’s good personality.
“Huh? You were clinging to me a moment ago. Now you’re trying to get away?”
Even Nin-Ling’s kindness now sounded scary, so Woo Yeon-woo trembled and grabbed his sleeve.
‘I must never let him find out that I’m the one who was in Rembrary’s body!’
* * *
‘Where did everyone go?’
Rembrary walked through the hallway alone, wondering, ‘Should I have just waited in the dining hall?’
But it didn’t seem likely that the group that had disappeared from that spot would reappear there after some time. Isn’t the goal to escape?
Rembrary assumed that the group had been moved somewhere else and leisurely walked to find them.
Then, someone called out to the nonchalantly walking Rembrary from behind.
“Run away! Run away!”
Rembrary stopped and turned around.
A hunter, presumably alive, was running towards him breathlessly.
“I said run away, why are you stopping!”
The hunter, who had been running while cursing, was about to pass Rembrary when he saw his nonchalant attitude and wondered, ‘Could it be?’ He stopped and asked.
“Hey, can you get rid of ghosts?”
“Ghosts?”
The hunter pointed in the direction he had been running from. Rembrary looked at the flustered hunter, then looked in the direction he was pointing.
A person without a lower body was crawling with only their upper body, dragging themselves along the floor with their arms.
And besides this hunter, several other people were screaming and coming this way.
When Rembrary didn’t answer, the hunter assumed that Rembrary couldn’t handle ghosts either, so he grabbed Rembrary’s arm and pulled him in the direction he had been running, shouting.
“Hey! If you can’t, run quickly!”
“That ghost is slow.”
“It’s not slow! It’s the same speed as us running away! It just looks slow!”
The hunter eventually let go of Rembrary’s hand and ran away alone when Rembrary still didn’t budge.
Soon, others also rushed past Rembrary.
Now there was no one between Rembrary and the ghost.
But Rembrary still didn’t move and just stared at the ghost.
Seeing that, the ghost, who had been crawling diligently on the floor, flinched. For a moment, it was torn between whether to pass by or stop.
But eventually, as if deciding to target the prey in front of it, the ghost stretched out its hand and grabbed Rembrary’s leg.
Then it tried to exert force, but Rembrary’s divine power was faster.
As divine power flowed into Rembrary’s leg, which the ghost had grabbed, the ghost screamed and let go.
The people who had been running stopped at the bizarre sound.
What those people saw was the back of the ghost retreating and turning in the opposite direction. And Rembrary standing nonchalantly.
The people’s eyes widened.
“Th, that person is Rembrary, isn’t he?”
“Who’s that?”
“Why, that cult-like but not cult-like guy!”
“Ah!”
Moreover, once they calmed down, some people began to recognize Rembrary.
Soon, when people realized that Rembrary was a celebrity, they were completely relieved and stopped running, approaching Rembrary and asking.
“No, what’s the secret?”
“How did the ghost run away instead?”
“Is that an awakened ability? Wasn’t it something completely different?”
Around the time when the countless questions noticeably decreased, Rembrary smiled more gently than usual and promoted.
“You just need to believe in Redrin.”
* * *
Cloth: What are we going to do with that? What is that.
Noir: They’re walking in a line lolololol
Cloth: What’s Warri going to do? They’re all going to pass through in a line.
As Rembrary stood at the front and other humans began to follow behind in a line, Cloth and Noir teased him as if they had been waiting for this.
Warrion, who had been pleased with creating a properly scary dungeon after diligently modifying it over several days, wanted to smash their heads with the crystal ball.
Noir was fine since he made his dungeon difficult and well, but was Cloth in a position to laugh like that? The difficulty of Zone 4 was much easier than Zone 3!
Black Dragon: Redrin seems to be settling in here now lol
As he was doing that, the Black Dragon threw out a random comment.
Warrion wiped the crystal ball roughly and didn’t participate in the chat, then wondered what that meant and asked.
Warrion: Redrin is settling in? What unpleasant nonsense are you talking about?
Black Dragon: Chasing away the ghost. Wasn’t it chased away with divine power? lol
Noir: OMG
Warrion didn’t bother writing a surprised sound in the chat, but he was more flustered than Noir.
It was a part he hadn’t paid any attention to at all. After hearing what the Black Dragon said, he realized, ‘Oh no.’
It was good that divine power attacks didn’t work on them after Redrin moved here.
If that were to revive, it would be very difficult to deal with.
Warrion gritted his teeth.
In the meantime, Rembrary was walking down the hallway triumphantly, leading hastily created believers who were shouting, ‘Redrin! Redrin!’ like chicks.
Perhaps it was because they were excited by the shouting, but everyone seemed to have lost a lot of their fear.
At this rate, they might really pass through the 3-4 dungeon easily.
Warrion gritted his teeth and stood up.
Warrion: I can’t let this happen. I’m going there myself.
* * *
He left only this one sentence in the chat and quickly transformed into the appearance of an ordinary person, appearing in the room next to Rembrary, bursting out the door and shouting as soon as he left.
“Aaaaaah! Someone save me!”
Then he grabbed Rembrary’s sleeve and ran aimlessly in the direction where there were no people.
Rembrary tried to resist this time as well, like when he was dragged away by the hunter earlier, but the demon’s strength was very strong.
In the meantime, as Rembrary, who had been at the front, disappeared, the people didn’t know what to do and hesitated before scattering.
Warrion was happy inside, but his heart dropped when he found Rembrary standing blankly and staring at him.
He had brought Rembrary with him for now. But he hadn’t decided what to do next.
“Who are you and why did you bring me here?”
As a result, he stood blankly, unable to do anything for a moment. Soon, Rembrary opened his mouth as if he had realized something, saying, ‘Ah!’
“You’re my fan.”
Warrion was so angry at that moment that he shouted.
“Who the hell!”
But soon, Warrion regained his composure and added.
“That’s right, me!”
If he was exposed as a demon here, it would all be over.
