◈ 606. The Information Is Accurate
Seon Woo-shil didn’t act rashly. Instead of going inside, he turned right around.
‘I need to bring Rembrary.’
Seon Woo-shil pressed the elevator button. But in that time, the elevator had gone up to a higher floor.
After frantically pressing the button a couple of times, Seon Woo-shil turned to head for the stairs.
Just then, a hand reached out from the slightly open door and grabbed his arm as he headed for the stairs, pulling him in.
“!”
With tremendous force, Seon Woo-shil was dragged straight into the apartment.
He was thrown into the living room from the entrance without even taking off his shoes. Stumbling a few steps, he heard a loud ‘bang’ as the door slammed shut behind him.
Regaining his balance and turning around, he saw that the door was already closed. Two threatening figures, each twice his size, were standing in the doorway.
It seemed one of them had grabbed Seon Woo-shil and thrown him in.
Seon Woo-shil wondered if he could push past them to get out, but then he heard the rustling of paper and looked into the living room.
Another person was sitting on his living room sofa, legs crossed, reading a newspaper.
Seon Woo-shil’s eyes widened.
That person wasn’t as large as the ones guarding the entrance, but he exuded the most threatening aura.
His expression revealed a nervous and prickly personality.
Perhaps sensing his gaze, the person folded the newspaper, placed it in front of him, and looked at Seon Woo-shil as he stood up.
Seon Woo-shil swallowed hard. The situation was very different from what he had foreseen, but that person…
That prickly-looking person was the one who had appeared in his premonition.
‘Damn it. I shouldn’t have come after all.’
Tension made Seon Woo-shil stumble backward, hitting the dining table chair.
Seon Woo-shil reached behind him and grabbed the chair. Would swinging this be effective?
“Well, well.”
Apparently not. The leader-like person with the prickly demeanor saw this and, instead of attacking, smiled and held out a hand as if to stop him.
“We didn’t come to harm you, Mr. Seon Woo-shil. We just came to ask you something. Is there any need for us to fight?”
He said ‘fight,’ but the nuance was more like, ‘You can’t beat us anyway, so don’t bother us.’
Seon Woo-shil’s pride was hurt, but since it was true, he calmly asked instead of swinging the chair.
“What do you want?”
Of course, he kept holding onto the chair.
“You can relax. We didn’t come with bad intentions, Mr. Seon Woo-shil. I’m personally a fan of yours.”
“I don’t know. It seems like you’ve already harmed the person downstairs for me to believe that.”
“Ah, that person.”
The leader-like person smiled and took out a cell phone from his pocket, shaking it.
“We just borrowed his phone. He’s living his life as usual, of course.”
“!”
The leader-like person said that he didn’t need the phone anymore and tossed it towards Seon Woo-shil as if he could have it.
Instead of catching the phone, Seon Woo-shil maintained his guard and asked,
“What question do you want to ask?”
“I heard you have precognitive abilities, Mr. Seon Woo-shil.”
How did they know that? Seon Woo-shil cursed inwardly.
He tried not to talk about his precognitive abilities, but he would occasionally give hints about premonitions that he felt sorry about, pretending they were from a friend. Did that become a rumor?
“I don’t have anything like that.”
He tried to deny it just in case, but the other person smiled with an expression that suggested he didn’t believe him at all, and asked,
“You know someone named Rembrary, right?”
“!”
“Of course you do, he’s the most famous person these days. I want to hear about his future.”
Did they know something? Did they know he was hiding in Rembrary’s house?
Seon Woo-shil looked at the intruder, but it was hard to read his intentions just from his expression.
‘Why are they asking about Rembrary’s future?’
“Why are you asking that?”
At Seon Woo-shil’s sharp question, the intruder smiled and revealed,
“I heard from another precognitive. That he’s going to side with the demons. From the perspective of fighting monsters, this is a very important issue. Don’t you know that? Rembrary is currently at the forefront of the fight against demons.”
‘Rembrary is going to side with the demons?’
Surprised, Seon Woo-shil was met with the intruder’s firm voice.
“I want to know if this is true.”
The Rembrary that Seon Woo-shil knew was crazy, but he didn’t seem like the type to join forces with the demons.
But since looking into it wouldn’t hurt, Seon Woo-shil focused all his attention on Rembrary.
“……”
After a moment, Seon Woo-shil unfolded his furrowed brow and said,
“I don’t know if he’s going to side with the demons. But I do see him dancing strangely on TV. He’s a really bad dancer.”
The intruder tilted his head, put his hands in his pockets, and asked in a mocking tone,
“Is that true? Or is it a lie?”
“Why would I lie?”
Seon Woo-shil snapped back, and the intruder shrugged and smiled.
“Is that so?”
“……”
“I hope it’s not a lie. For the sake of humanity.”
With those words, the intruder turned and gestured.
As expected, confirming his guess that he was the leader, the ones guarding the entrance immediately opened the door and left at the intruder’s signal.
At least he’s letting me off safely. Seon Woo-shil sighed in relief.
Even so, he still held onto the chair and kept his eyes on the door until the end.
Soon, the door closed automatically, and the intruders disappeared from sight.
* * *
As soon as the front door of Seon Woo-shil’s house closed, the elevator doors began to open.
The intruder, who was about to press the button in front of the elevator, stopped his hand in mid-air and looked ahead.
Beyond the slowly opening silver door, the person whom the intruder had been questioning until just now was appearing.
A man with golden hair tied back and his chin slightly raised. It was Rembrary.
Seeing Rembrary with a gentle smile, the intruder realized his mistake.
Since he hadn’t pressed the elevator button, Rembrary must have pressed the button for this floor himself.
In that case, Rembrary and Seon Woo-shil…
“A familiar face.”
Before he could finish his thought, Rembrary, who saw him, warmly smiled and greeted him as if he knew him.
“You’re Nakru… aren’t you Nakru?”
He didn’t remember exactly, ‘Team Leader of Nakru Team B,’ but he seemed certain that he was from Nakru [a South Korean government agency dealing with supernatural events].
‘I have no choice.’ The intruder got into the elevator next to Rembrary, pressed the button for the first floor, and asked nonchalantly,
“Aren’t you getting off?”
“I have to get off.”
As Rembrary got off, the Team Leader of Nakru Team B nodded his head in greeting and repeatedly pressed the close button.
The elevator quickly descended to the first floor.
Immediately going to the parking lot and getting into the back seat, the Team Leader of Team B, while his teammate started the engine and pulled the car out,
Hurriedly called the Deputy Director to inform him.
“I ran into Rembrary on the way out of Seon Woo-shil’s house. It looked like he was going to see Seon Woo-shil. Yes. Yes. Yes. Redrine, Worldboom, and Aegis will be asking about this, so we need to be prepared.”

Since the door was in bad shape, I just pushed it and it opened.
As soon as he opened the door and went inside, Rembrary saw Seon Woo-shil in a strange pose, holding a chair in one hand and reaching towards the floor with the other.
Seon Woo-shil flinched and turned his head, then shouted with a relieved expression when he found Rembrary.
“Why are you here now!”
“You left so suddenly, sunbae [a Korean term for a senior colleague or mentor]. I thought you’d come back, so I waited and came.”
As Rembrary looked at the cell phone that Seon Woo-shil was trying to pick up, Seon Woo-shil put down the chair and quickly picked up the phone, saying,
“This isn’t mine.”
“I’m not curious.”
Rembrary said honestly and asked,
“Why did the Nakru people come? That’s what I’m curious about.”
At that question, Seon Woo-shil turned on the phone of the person downstairs to see if there was any battery left, then asked back,
“What? Nakru? Those bastards who came earlier were Nakru?”
“Yes.”
“That Nakru with Woo Yeon-woo and Woo Seong-woo?”
Woo Seong-woo left. Can we still deal with them since Woo Seong-woo is gone?
Rembrary thought that, but for now, he answered, “I think so.”
Seon Woo-shil opened his mouth and looked at Rembrary, then asked again,
“Really? You’re not mistaking them for someone who looks alike? That Nakru that works with the government?”
“I think it’s that Nakru.”
Rembrary watched Seon Woo-shil cover his head with both hands and become confused, then asked,
“Do you have anything to drink? Something to eat would be nice too.”
Seon Woo-shil dragged Rembrary over and shouted quietly,
“Is eating what’s important right now?”
“Why?”
“Do you know what those guys asked me?”
“Did they ask you something?”
“They asked about your future!”
“Why?”
“I don’t know!”
Seon Woo-shil suddenly ran to the front door and checked that there was no one there.
Only then did he return to Rembrary and say,
“Another precognitive had a premonition that you’ll join hands with the demons in the future. And they threatened me to tell them if that was true or not.”
“Ah. So the one with precognitive abilities wasn’t sunbae’s friend, but sunbae?”
“……”
Seon Woo-shil, who had inadvertently revealed that he was a precognitive, covered his forehead and groaned.
But realizing that this wasn’t the important thing, he put his hand down again and continued the story.
“It’s not just something to be amazed by my precognitive abilities. I told those guys that there was no such future, that you were just dancing strangely on TV—”
“Is that true?”
“Yes, that’s true too. But that’s not the important thing. There was actually such a future. I saw it.”
At Seon Woo-shil’s story, Rembrary showed interest for the first time.
“What was it like? Do I release an album with the demons or something?”
“I don’t know about that. No, actually, I don’t know for sure if you’re definitely joining hands with the demons. But the atmosphere was a bit like that.”
“What was the atmosphere like?”
“The color of your clothes suddenly turned black.”
Seon Woo-shil said that and stared at Rembrary, then asked urgently,
“Do you have any idea what it could be?”
“If it’s about dancing—”
“Your betrayal!”
“No.”
Rembrary said calmly and tilted his head, looking puzzled.
Seeing that, Seon Woo-shil bit his lip.
Seeing the other person so calm, he didn’t know whether to worry more or feel relieved.
Anyway, he had worried about a bad premonition before, but it seemed like he had safely passed that time.
If Seon Woo-shil had heard Rembrary thinking, ‘Is that what the demons are after?’ in his head, he would have become even more anxious, but Rembrary’s thoughts were not revealed outwardly.
* * *
Right then. The Team Leader of Team B, who was talking to the Deputy Director, said, “Just a moment,” and pressed the earpiece he had in his ear closer to his ear.
How long had he been in that state? A smile appeared on the Team Leader of Team B’s face.
“Ah, you can talk to me again now.”
When the Deputy Director asked what was wrong, the Team Leader of Team B turned his body and muttered, looking at Seon Woo-shil’s apartment, which was already far away.
“It’s true that Seon Woo-shil also saw a premonition implying that Rembrary is siding with the demons. It seems he’s hiding it from us because he knows Rembrary. ……Yes. He’s talking because we left. ……Ah, you can retrieve the bugging device tomorrow or the day after. After all, Seon Woo-shil won’t be coming back to live at home starting today anyway.”
One of the team members sitting in the passenger seat glanced at the team leader.
The team leader nodded and smiled with satisfaction.
“It seems like it would be good to talk to Mirage properly. The information is accurate.”
