The Paladin Instructor started walking ahead, telling them to follow.
“Have you seen him before?”
“I have.”
“I haven’t.”
The children whispered among themselves, diligently following the instructor.
The children were excited, feeling like they were meeting a celebrity, and whispered stories they had heard about the novice priest.
“Are you okay?”
Ninling, who had been chatting with the other children, turned to Jeremi and asked.
“Your face is pale.”
Of course, he wasn’t okay. Jeremi shook his head quickly.
“Are you sick?”
When Ninling asked again, Jeremi thought this was his chance and raised one arm.
“Instructor, my stomach hurts. Can I go back to the dorm?”
Jeremi absolutely couldn’t see Rembrary right now. If he did, months of effort and running away would be in vain.
“You’re sick? That’s good. Then you can have him heal you.”
However, feigning illness didn’t help in this situation. The children exclaimed, but Jeremi’s complexion turned even paler.
“Should I support you?”
“No, thanks.”
Jeremi immediately refused Ninling’s kind offer, then spotted the blonde hair in the distance and felt a chill down his spine.
Even from a distance, he could immediately recognize Rembrary.
As soon as he saw Rembrary, Jeremi’s heart pounded so hard it was unbearable, and his neck felt itchy. He felt like he was being crushed by tension and fear.
But Rembrary was getting closer and closer. Then, the moment Rembrary turned his head this way.
“Bathroom!”
Jeremi turned sharply and ran away urgently. He could hear the children laughing behind him, but safety was the priority.

Jeremi, who had entered the bathroom, gripped the sink tightly. Barely managing to avoid encountering Rembrary, he felt a surge of irritation as his tension eased.
“Why does that guy keep coming here when he’s a priest?!”
Of course, shouting here wouldn’t bring an answer. Jeremi stared down at the sink, panting, then washed his hands and calmed himself.
Revenge must be taken calmly. If your mind is scattered, you’re bound to make mistakes.
Jeremi succeeded in regaining his composure and came out of the bathroom.
Then, Jeremi was startled when he saw the hallway ahead. Mullu was watching him from the stairs not far away.
‘Did he hear?’
It seemed he had heard what he shouted.
And Mullu had indeed heard it. He didn’t try to listen, but he heard the shout as he was going down the stairs.
However, Mullu remembered Jeremi once saying that Rembrary was his family’s enemy.
Mullu, losing interest, turned and continued down the stairs.
As soon as Mullu was completely out of sight, Jeremi blamed himself and hit his forehead against the wall.
‘Idiot! You have to be careful. You must never let this feeling be discovered.’

While Jeremi was blaming himself and suffering, Rembrary was greeting each of the children the instructor had brought.
“Hello. Yes, hello.”
The children stared blankly, amazed, whenever Rembrary greeted them with a dignified manner.
The instructor couldn’t help but laugh and cry at the sight.
He had deliberately brought them to show that there were many talented people among the novice paladins [holy warriors]. But the children were too openly gawking at Rembrary.
Then, Rembrary finally stood in front of a child with messy brown hair.
“I’m Ninling!”
The child smiled brightly as soon as she saw Rembrary and introduced herself. She seemed more composed than the other children, who were simply amazed by Rembrary.
The relieved instructor glanced at Rembrary’s reaction.
“Yes, hello.”
However, Rembrary responded the same way whether the children looked at him in amazement or greeted him brightly.
Besides, Rembrary was smiling kindly, but he didn’t seem very interested in the other paladins of his age.
In the end, the instructor took the children and returned to the training ground.
After a group of children had left, Rembrary quickly urged the paladin who had brought him.
“Let’s go see Sir Cheru now.”
* * *
Arriving in front of the instructor’s office, Rembrary took a moment to catch his breath at the door. But the paladin who had brought him simply flung the door open.
As the door opened, Rembrary quickly ran to the seat Cheru used to use.
“Rembrary?”
Cheru, who had been reviewing the children’s report cards, was briefly surprised to find Rembrary, then smiled and waved.
“What’s going on?”
“He’s going to heal Sir Cheru. So I brought him from the Central Estate.”
The paladin who had come with him from the Central Estate patted Rembrary on the shoulder.
“You’ve come to heal again?”
At those words, Cheru asked with a smile, and Rembrary nodded diligently.
“I can heal you this time.”
“I’ll be going now. There were many things happening at the Central Estate. I have to report them.”
The paladin, seeing that Cheru seemed to be taking good care of Rembrary, subtly stepped back and said. When Cheru nodded, the paladin immediately went outside.
Cheru asked Rembrary again.
“Have you eaten?”
“I’m going to heal Sir Cheru.”
At Rembrary’s firm words, Cheru burst into laughter. But he didn’t seem to believe Rembrary’s words.
“Shall we get something to eat? Aren’t you hungry?”
Cheru remembered that Rembrary liked to eat and asked.
“I’ll heal you.”
Instead of answering, Rembrary placed his hand on Cheru’s arm. Cheru smiled, grateful and touched that the child kept coming to heal him.
The paladin instructors in the next seat peeked their heads out.
They exchanged glances and laughed silently as they watched Rembrary staring at the air with a serious expression.
The child seemed to be trying earnestly in his own way, but they didn’t think Rembrary would restore Cheru’s divine power.
It hadn’t even been a few months since the last failure.
“It’s done.”
Even when the child took his hand away and smiled contentedly, the instructors didn’t think Rembrary had succeeded.
But Rembrary smiled proudly and stared at Cheru. Rembrary was certain that he had healed Cheru properly this time.
“How is it?”
Rembrary waited for Cheru’s answer, already smiling brightly.
The fellow instructors thought that Cheru would have to comfort the child again and looked at Cheru.
But Cheru didn’t say anything.
The fellow instructors were taken aback and held their breath.
Cheru must have been unexpectedly hopeful about that child! But he must have been disappointed that his divine power hadn’t returned. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be so quiet.
“I kept my promise, right?”
When Rembrary asked with a smile, the instructors wanted to hide in a mouse hole. How could he ask with a smile like that in front of someone in despair?
“Yeah.”
Even when Cheru answered positively after a long time, the instructors thought. Sir Cheru used to lie and say he was healed. He’s doing it again this time.
“I’m amazing, right?”
The instructors couldn’t bear to look at the confident child in this situation and all returned to their seats.
“Yeah. You’re really amazing.”
Cheru’s calm praise weighed heavily in the instructor’s office.
“You will become the greatest priest in the world.”
The instructors felt like crying. He couldn’t restore his divine power again, but he’s still saying that.
“Then, Sir Cheru. When I become a high priest later, can you be the commander of my paladin order?”
Rembrary asked brightly, unconcerned whether the instructors were gloomy or not.
“I will.”
Cheru nodded and held out his fist.
“Promise.”
Rembrary tapped Cheru’s fist with his own and smiled brightly.
“Then shall we go eat something delicious now?”
“I have to finish this quickly right now. Shall I call Mullu?”
“I don’t need Grass’s younger sibling. I can go to the cafeteria alone.”
Rembrary said in an excited voice and went out of the instructor’s office.
As soon as Rembrary left, the colleagues looked at Cheru with bitter expressions. Cheru must be so disappointed that he doesn’t even have the energy to take the child to dinner.
“……”
Their unnecessary speculation was not wrong. Cheru really did lose his mind and didn’t move at all as soon as the child left.
“Sir Cheru.”
A colleague in the next seat, unable to watch any longer, got up and patted Cheru on the shoulder.
“It’s okay. That child’s reputation is growing day by day. Someday, that child might really heal Sir Cheru.”
Another colleague quickly approached.
“That’s right. Don’t be disappointed.”
Cheru gave a bewildered expression at the sudden outpouring of comfort. She looked around at the colleagues who were gathering. They were all trying not to show their worried expressions.
Cheru checked their expressions and burst into laughter.
“I must have made you misunderstand. Rembrary definitely healed me and left. My divine power has returned. Just a moment ago.”
At the calm voice, the colleagues were momentarily speechless. Cheru was speaking so calmly that they didn’t understand properly even after hearing it.
“Healed…?”
“Your divine power has returned?”
The colleagues asked again.
Cheru nodded and smiled.
“I told Rembrary that he would become the greatest priest. Did you think I was just saying those words?”
Belatedly, the colleagues understood what Cheru was saying and jumped up.
“Your divine power really returned?!”
“No, did that child really heal you?”
“Did that child undo the black magician’s curse?!”
The colleagues’ voices grew louder and louder with each word.
“No, why are you talking about such happy things so calmly!”
“We thought you were lying because you were afraid the child would be disappointed!”
“How can you say something like this so calmly!”
Cheru smiled awkwardly as he listened to the colleagues excitedly chattering. Did she seem calm?
But her inner thoughts were not calm at all. That’s why she couldn’t even go to the cafeteria with him.
Her heart was so turbulent that she couldn’t move at all.
“That child is a genius!”
The instructor in the next seat shouted excitedly.
“A genius!”
* * *
It was almost an hour before Cheru calmed down. Cheru checked the time and got up from his seat.
It was true that there was a lot of work to do, but he wanted to tell his younger sibling this good news quickly.
And he wanted to thank Rembrary again.
Although his colleagues had said that he had talked very calmly, Cheru himself felt that he had not even talked to Rembrary properly.
That’s how out of his mind he was.
“Where’s Rembrary?”
Cheru went to the cafeteria and looked for Rembrary.
“That priest? He ate five plates of cake and left.”
But Rembrary was not in the cafeteria.
Cheru looked around, but the child was gone.
Did he perhaps get lost? Cheru was flustered and ran to the training ground.
Rembrary had stayed here for several days, so he didn’t think he would get lost.
But as he went out to the training ground, he saw a carriage going to the main gate.
“He’s leaving quickly this time.”
As he was watching the carriage, thinking, ‘No way,’ a paladin approached and said.
“Is that the carriage Rembrary is in? Is he already leaving?”
Cheru asked in surprise, and the paladin nodded.
“He said that Priest Gaiaeger would be counting the days, and then he left.”
“But he just arrived.”
Cheru looked ahead with a feeling of regret. The carriage was already leaving through the gate.
