886. Rembrary’s Invitation (6)
Why is that anchovy acting like that? Rembrary peeked at Shin Jo-woon’s serious profile and approached him.
“Anchovy.”
With a tap on the back, Shin Jo-woon instantly returned to his usual expression and turned his head.
“Oh, hey. What’s up?”
“Are you okay?”
Rembrary was a sharp and perceptive high priest. Just because Shin Jo-woon quickly changed his expression didn’t mean he forgot the serious look he had seen a moment ago.
“Ah, just thinking about something.”
Rembrary was puzzled. What could Shin Jo-woon be seriously thinking about in this world? If there was one thing, it was this.
“Are you thinking about joining the Redrin Order?”
“No.”
“You answered right away, so you were thinking about it.”
Instead of being swayed by Rembrary’s words, Shin Jo-woon brought up a topic that Rembrary would immediately be interested in.
“I was thinking about food. Lunch menu.”
“Ah. That’s serious enough. Were you curious about the food in our world?”
Rembrary immediately showed interest in the new topic.
“The food that came out yesterday was delicious.”
Shin Jo-woon made an appropriate excuse and came down from the fortress wall.
Meanwhile, Rembrary looked down at the fortress wall that Shin Jo-woon had been staring at, but there was nothing there that Shin Jo-woon, a person from another world, would seriously look at.
‘What was he looking at?’
Rembrary was suspicious, including the fact that Shin Jo-woon had changed the subject, but he didn’t bother to pry into the other person’s secrets if they didn’t want to talk about them.
Maybe he really was thinking about food.
After sorting out his thoughts, Rembrary pushed Shin Jo-woon’s back and asked in an excited voice.
“What was delicious? If you explain it to me, I’ll tell them to bring that food out. Everyone will listen to me.”
“Well, I don’t know the name.”
“If you describe the taste, I’ll understand perfectly. Sweet? More sweet? Less sweet?”
“I don’t understand.”
“Mr. Rembrary!”
At that moment, Jang Tae-ri’s voice calling Rembrary was heard.
She awkwardly waved her hand in the midst of the cheering crowd and belatedly discovered Shin Jo-woon and Rembrary passing by nearby.
“Mr. Rembrary!”
She waved her hand and asked for help to get her out of there quickly.
She also had a slight calculation that if people saw Rembrary, they would flock to him, and their interest in her would disappear.
But it was counterproductive.
“She called the High Priest ‘Mr.’!”
“She called the High Priest by his name!”
People were even more amazed at the way Jang Tae-ri called Rembrary, and now they started pouring out questions about her position in the Redrin Order, what she did, and how she became friends with the High Priest.
“Mr. Rembrary! Take me away! Quickly!”
Fortunately, when Rembrary came closer, people stopped asking questions and stepped aside.
“Tae-ri, you seem to be getting along well with these people.”
“Does it look like I’m getting along?”
Jang Tae-ri quickly ran to Rembrary’s side.
However, the uneven fortress wall was different from a flat asphalt road. Jang Tae-ri lost her balance as she ran hastily and briefly touched Rembrary’s shoulder.
That was really it. But as soon as her hand touched his shoulder, the onlookers gasped simultaneously, as if Jang Tae-ri had punched an antique in a glass case.
“She hit the High Priest!”
“She touched the High Priest’s shoulder… !”
Jang Tae-ri quickly lowered her hand.
Then, she heard a laughing sound and looked over to see Shin Jo-woon biting his lip and turning away from Rembrary and Jang Tae-ri, pretending not to know them.
Jang Tae-ri felt wronged. No, that guy even calls Rembrary a pig. Why am I the most surprised target?
* * *
Jang Tae-ri and Shin Jo-woon hadn’t eaten lunch, and Rembrary didn’t mind having another meal, so the group decided to take Ardor and go to the restaurant.
Jang Tae-ri recalled the people who were surprised every time she did something and couldn’t resist asking out of curiosity.
“Mr. Rembrary, are you perhaps a very precious antique in this world?”
“I am precious, but not an antique.”
“I mean, like a cultural asset… someone so precious that you can’t even touch them?”
At Jang Tae-ri’s question, Rembrary stopped in his tracks, proudly pointed to himself, and nodded.
“That’s right. I am a very precious and great person.”
“Wow.”
Back on Earth, I would have thought someone who said that was really weird and funny. Jang Tae-ri recalled the reactions of the people earlier and thought for the first time that Rembrary deserved to be like that.
Even if they weren’t his own followers, if other people’s followers treated him like that, and if he lived surrounded by such people, he deserved to be so confident.
‘But Mors isn’t like that, is he?’
She had some doubts, but Jang Tae-ri understood Rembrary’s confidence to some extent.
Ardor was so shocked when Jang Tae-ri and Shin Jo-woon appeared with Rembrary that he couldn’t get up from the carpet for a while and was stunned.
“Rembrary, I was waiting here to see you for the last time, but you’re coming with those heretics. A big wound has just been created in my heart. But it’s a wound given by Rembrary, so it’s okay.”
“Let’s eat.”
“Yes!”
As Ardor, who had been muttering endlessly, quickly recovered, the group moved to the restaurant together again.
Jang Tae-ri looked at Ardor, who was following Rembrary closely, and worried.
‘I hope there are more people like Mullu and Ninling in the Redrin Order and fewer people like that strange person…’
* * *
The servant working at the restaurant immediately prepared the food when Rembrary said he was going to eat and even asked this.
“Shall I call the lord?”
“No, it’s okay. I’ll eat comfortably with my friends now, so tell the lord to be comfortable too.”
“Yes, High Priest.”
Could it be that the lord isn’t as high-ranking as I thought here? Jang Tae-ri watched the servant retreat and became curious again.
A lord being summoned just because the High Priest is eating. He seemed too weak.
By the time the meal came out, Jang Tae-ri couldn’t suppress her curiosity and asked Rembrary again.
“Mr. Rembrary, is the lord weak here?”
“I don’t know, I haven’t fought him.”
Jang Tae-ri rolled her eyes and smiled awkwardly.
“Ah… I see. Well, you wouldn’t know unless you fought him…”
“You can ask me anything else you want to ask. When you go to a strange place, you have a lot of questions and things you don’t know. I’ll answer everything.”
“Um. Thank you.”
Rembrary was excited when Jang Tae-ri greeted him and even tapped Shin Jo-woon’s table.
“Anchovy, don’t you have anything you want to ask me? Ask me everything. I know a lot.”
“How long do we have to stay here?”
“Why are you asking me that?”
Ardor glared at the clueless heretic and stabbed the meat with his fork for no reason.

After finishing the meal, Jang Tae-ri said she wanted to see the other world village, and Shin Jo-woon agreed. Rembrary immediately called a passing person and instructed as if it were his own home.
“I’m going out to play, so prepare a carriage. It must be a large carriage with a comfortable ride.”
“Shall I assign someone to guide you?”
The castle manager suggested, but Rembrary refused.
If he were wandering around alone, it would be okay to have a guide, but now Jang Tae-ri and Shin Jo-woon were with him.
Rembrary wanted to introduce his world directly to his friends who had come to a strange world.
The carriage was quickly prepared, and Rembrary took the group and quickly got on the carriage.
Jang Tae-ri’s heart was pounding at the thought of finally seeing the other world properly.
The carriage stopped sooner than expected. It was because the downtown area was not far from the castle.
The coachman stopped in the middle of the downtown area and said to Rembrary.
“I will be waiting here, High Priest. If you want to go somewhere else or go back, please come here.”
“Okay.”
Rembrary answered and pushed the group out of the carriage again as if herding sheep.
Jang Tae-ri, who was already excited at the thought of seeing the other world, became even more excited and comfortable when she saw Rembrary, who had invited her here, also looking excited, and asked.
“Mr. Rembrary, have you been here before? Where is the best place to visit?”
“I’ve never been here either.”
“Yes?”
“But it’s okay. Tae-ri, where do you want to go?”
If I say where I want to go… I wonder if you can even know. Jang Tae-ri was embarrassed by Rembrary’s question and looked at Shin Jo-woon.
But Shin Jo-woon was a little strange. He was looking around the street, and his forehead was furrowed.
It wasn’t the face of someone looking at a strange world but the face of someone observing something.
“What’s wrong?”
When Jang Tae-ri poked him in the side, Shin Jo-woon finally returned to his usual expression and made an excuse.
“I was just looking around. Why? Where are we going?”
“Didn’t you hear our conversation just now?”
“What did you say?”
Shin Jo-woon asked calmly, but Jang Tae-ri felt something was wrong. It was rare for Shin Jo-woon to be distracted while the three of them were hanging out.
And when I think about it, Shin Jo-woon’s expression wasn’t good from the carriage.
“What’s wrong with you?”
I don’t want to have a serious atmosphere when I come out to play, but Jang Tae-ri couldn’t help but ask. She was worried because someone who usually controlled his emotions well was acting like that.
“No.”
Shin Jo-woon answered with a smile, but Jang Tae-ri didn’t easily believe those words.
As Jang Tae-ri was about to ask again, Rembrary intervened.
“Anchovy, are you trying to look like a local?”
Jang Tae-ri thought, ‘There’s no way,’ but she was horrified when Shin Jo-woon surprisingly nodded and pulled his neck back.
“Really?”
“It would be nice to walk around naturally since we came all this way. Right now, only the two of us have clothes that stand out too much.”
“That’s true… Then should we change our clothes?”
Rembrary, who was listening to their conversation, was delighted and asked.
“Do you know what the most local-looking clothes are?”
“Is there such a thing?”
“It’s a priest’s robe. If you wear that, everyone will know you’re a local.”
Jang Tae-ri and Shin Jo-woon shook their heads at the same time.
“Not really.”
“No way.”
Jang Tae-ri was worried that Rembrary might be upset by the firm refusal, but fortunately, Rembrary asked again without any such sign.
“I understand. Then where do you want to go? Tell me. I’ve never been here either, but I’m confident I can guide you well.”
At the question that didn’t inspire any confidence, Jang Tae-ri stood in her place and looked around, just like Shin Jo-woon had done earlier.
If I point to a place with my hand, you can at least guide me that much.
“The Camuel Order.”
But Shin Jo-woon said an unexpected place first. Jang Tae-ri opened her eyes wide and looked at Shin Jo-woon.
Rembrary was also waiting for an answer with a pleased expression but frowned at the unexpected place.
“Where do you want to go?”
