A deserted outer road.
The back window of a black car making a U-turn is shattered, a man’s head sticking out.
A large hand grips his neck. The man struggles, but the hand remains as still as a rock.
Then, he’s suddenly yanked inside.
Thud, thud-!
Chief Ma grabs the employee by the neck, using him as a shield against the knives of those in the front seats.
Two knives strike the employee’s back and neck.
“Cough.”
Chief Ma throws the employee aside and punches the headrest of the front seat.
Crack!
The headrest shatters, striking the passenger. Meanwhile, the driver, Dong-shik, swings his knife at Chief Ma again.
Whoosh, whoosh-
Chief Ma steps back and kicks the passenger seat’s backrest with all his might.
Bang! Crack!!
The support breaks, and the backrest folds backward. The passenger is bent over at the waist, unable to move.
Swish-
Dong-shik bends and reaches for Chief Ma’s neck with his knife.
A clean, quick attack, efficient and decisive – a valuable talent. But now, he’s just an enemy.
Thud-
Chief Ma blocks the knife with his forearm and throws a right fist.
Dodging would hinder a counterattack, but blocking closes the distance. Giving flesh to take bone – a tactic he wouldn’t have considered before his battle with Hae-soo.
Thwack-!
Chief Ma’s fist lands squarely on Dong-shik’s face. Without checking on Dong-shik, he grabs the bleeding employee in the next seat and throws him out of the car. The employee’s carotid artery was severed.
“Ugh!”
He glances at the struggling employee in the passenger seat and ruthlessly stomps on the folded backrest.
Thud, thud- Thud, crack!
When no groans are heard, he lifts the backrest slightly and sees the opponent’s caved-in face.
Chief Ma grabs the passed-out Dong-shik by the collar and drags him out.
Dong-shik regains consciousness but seems to have lost his will to fight, lowering his eyes.
Chief Ma looks at him, at his defeated posture, and speaks.
“Don’t you get it yet? You shouldn’t have tried to catch me without a gun.”
Chief Ma drags him to the back seat, places his neck against the broken window, and slams him down.
Crack-!
A grotesque sound echoes through the deserted road. Even if Dong-shik survives, he’ll suffer a fatal injury from the glass shards severing his carotid artery.
Chief Ma awkwardly moves his large body to the driver’s seat and grabs the steering wheel.
The employee he threw out is crawling along the shoulder of the road.
Without hesitation, Chief Ma floors the accelerator.
Vroom- Thud! Clatter
He hits the last employee with the car, finishes him off by stepping on his head, and turns the steering wheel toward Teacher Cheon’s office.
The blood-stained, rattling car looks eerie rolling along.

“Capture Team 1, Capture Team 1, respond.”
-Team 1 is out.
“…”
Team Leader Ha feels a chill at Chief Ma’s voice over the radio.
Team 1’s failure was somewhat expected. They tried to take down a mountain with a sneak attack using minimal manpower; it was just bad luck.
-I’m waiting, I’ll be there soon.
Team Leader Ha stares silently at the radio before switching channels.
“Capture Team 2, prepare for capture.”
-Capture Team 2 ready.
Chief Ma may have noticed, but they couldn’t deploy many company troops due to the secrecy. Too many blindly respected Chief Ma’s blunt, cruel nature and absolute power. They barely gathered twenty people while deceiving prying eyes.
But now that they’ve drawn their swords, there’s no turning back.
Twenty top-tier company employees – a force capable of taking anyone’s life in Korea, even high-ranking military officials and heads of state.
Even so, there’s one person they can’t be sure of defeating.
Even with geographical advantages, equipment, personnel – everything in their favor – they can’t guarantee victory.
Team Leader Ha enters the office and says to the white-haired middle-aged man staring blankly out the window.
“Teacher Cheon, let’s evacuate. The helicopter’s on standby.”
Teacher Cheon is silent, then slowly shakes his head.
“No. That’s not the attitude of a true leader. If Chief Ma comes, he has the right to see me.”
“…Yes.”
Team Leader Ha narrows his brow, turns, and says to the guards at the door.
“Get your guns.”

The Cheonseong Building, where Korea’s economy revolves, where big and small decisions are made, where the seven leaders of the Chilseong Society [Seven Stars Society, a powerful organization] meet, has 20 floors.
Its floor height is high and sturdy, making it taller than other buildings of the same height.
The lobby was built with defense in mind, not efficient flow. Entering through the revolving door, a huge screen wall blocks the way, dividing you left and right. You pass through narrow paths, gather in the center, and pass through two steel gates to reach the elevator.
Most people don’t know, but the central wall is designed for observation and ambushes from the inside. You can see out, but not in.
Like now.
Swoosh-
Chief Ma dodges an awl, stabbing and pulling a knife from his wrist.
Sizzle-
Chief Ma’s knives are already soaked with blood.
Despite their influence, the company doesn’t distribute guns. They’re hard to obtain, and Teacher Cheon doesn’t allow anyone but himself to carry one.
So, crossbows replaced guns.
Company employees inside the lobby wall launch a defensive battle, firing crossbows through holes.
Even Chief Ma isn’t invincible. He holds knives in both hands – unusual for him – and enters the battlefield with thick books strapped to his chest and stomach.
Thud, thud, thud-!
Chief Ma knows where they are and how to break through.
He runs to the entrance inside the wall, breaks down the door, enters the inner wall, and massacres employees.
The employees hesitate to shoot their colleagues, then switch to knives and charge. Their necks are pierced, their hearts cut out.
-Ding- This is the Royal Floor.
Whirr-
The elevator doors open, and a strong smell of blood wafts out.
Squish, squish.
Chief Ma limps, dragging his blood-soaked shoes.
The red carpet hides the blood.
Perhaps that’s why they laid it.
Knock knock
“I’m here.”
Creak-
The door to Teacher Cheon’s office opens, revealing the scene inside.
Teacher Cheon stands with his back to him, looking out the window. Behind him, Team Leader Ha and four subordinates look at Chief Ma.
Each holds a uniquely shaped gun.
Team Leader Ha frowns at Chief Ma’s appearance.
Ten crossbow bolts stick out of him. Cuts mark his forearms, thighs, insteps, and face, all bleeding profusely.
His clothes are soaked in blood.
“Cheon-”
Rat-tat-tat-
Before Chief Ma can speak, Team Leader Ha fires first. Awl-shaped bullets with red feathers fly and hit him.
It’s a tranquilizer gun. Four out of five shots hit.
Team Leader Ha raises his gun, scratches his head with the muzzle, and sneers.
“Elephant tranquilizer. An overdose could kill you.”
Without answering, Chief Ma looks at the darts in his body, raises his head, and moves.
Thud, squish thud, boom-!
His huge body collapses before taking three steps.
His condition was so bad, it’s a miracle he could walk before the tranquilizer.
If he were in good condition, he wouldn’t have been hit so easily.
The sacrifice of twenty people wasn’t in vain.
Team Leader Ha steps on Chief Ma’s head with his work boots.
Crunch-
Chief Ma groans softly. Even his pain sounds like a beast’s threat.
Swoosh-
Teacher Cheon turns, steps toward Chief Ma, stops, steps back, and speaks.
“Chief Ma, even if the owner feeds you well and trains you to be smart… a dog is still a dog. The moment you show your teeth, you have to be put down. I can’t trust you anymore.”
Teacher Cheon looks at Team Leader Ha, who nods.
Swoosh-
He takes out a machete and aims it at Chief Ma’s neck, lifting it high and striking down.
Clang!!
Chief Ma twists, dodging the blow. The machete strikes the floor, tearing Team Leader Ha’s grip.
Chief Ma jumps up, grabs Team Leader Ha’s neck, and twists.
Crack-
Team Leader Ha’s eyes roll back, his limbs droop, and the other guards charge with knives.
Teacher Cheon, surprised, backs away toward the desk, taking out a real gun.
Thud, thud, thud-
Perhaps the tranquilizer wasn’t completely ineffective. Chief Ma doesn’t dodge the knives.
“Kuh-ahhhh!!!”
Chief Ma grabs Team Leader Ha’s limp body, spins it to push back some guards, and charges toward the window.
Crash!!!
The thick special glass tears off, the entire window falls out, and Chief Ma and Team Leader Ha fly out.
Teacher Cheon pulls the trigger.
Bang-!
The bullet hits Chief Ma’s back, and blood splatters.
Bang! Bang bang bang!!
Chief Ma and Team Leader Ha fall, hitting open windows, and land on a luxury sedan.
Crash!!! Beep! Beep! Beep-!
The car collapses like paper. Team Leader Ha’s body, used as an airbag, bursts.
“Kyaaak!”
“W, what!”
“Someone fell?”
“I think he’s alive?”
“Call 112 [emergency services], call 112!”
People gather at the explosion. Teacher Cheon aims his gun, but retreats at the guards’ dissuasion.
He can’t touch him with so much attention.
Chief Ma holds onto consciousness with tremendous mental strength.
He stretches his index finger to the woman calling 112 and barely opens his mouth.
“Shin Hae-soo… Bring Shin Hae-soo.”
