Side Story 23
In that moment, I felt a thrill, like tasting a drop of sweet water in the desert.
I paused briefly, savoring the sensation, before slowly parting my lips.
Cassis Pedelian was simply watching me, just as I had instructed.
Meeting his eyes up close, which seemed like a collection of stars sunken in the darkness, made my body heat up.
This time, I pressed my lips a little deeper. Then, I took his still-closed lower lip between my own and licked it.
I could feel his body flinch slightly against mine.
But perhaps because of his promise not to touch me without permission, Cassis Pedelian endured.
I tilted his head back further, parted his lips that I had been biting and sucking on, and delved inside.
The moment our tongues met, I felt an electric shock run through my body.
*This is it.*
*This is what I wanted.*
From then on, I moved almost without reason.
As expected, kissing Cassis Pedelian wasn’t unpleasant at all; rather, it felt good.
I don’t know why he’s the only one who’s different… No. Actually, I felt like I knew the reason well enough… but it wasn’t an important thought right now.
Like a bee or butterfly seeking honey, I freely tasted the ambrosia [the food of the gods, implying something delicious and divine] before me.
I lowered one of the hands that had been cupping Cassis Pedelian’s cheeks, tracing his sharp jawline and letting it slide down. I could feel his Adam’s apple bobbing beneath my hand.
Dropping my hand further down, I caught the pounding of his heart. Cassis Pedelian’s chest was beating just as fast as mine.
After a while, I pulled away from the heated kiss, my lips slightly numb.
The lips of Cassis Pedelian, whom I had been tormenting, were also redder and more moist than before, looking even more appetizing.
Moist breaths mingled closely.
The corners of the man’s eyes, flushed with excitement, were rosier than before.
His eyes, staring straight at me, seemed endlessly dark, to the point of appearing dangerous, yet at the same time, they seemed to gleam with a chilling radiance.
I could feel a rough energy, almost savage, stirring within him, as if it would burst out at any moment.
“Cassis Pedelian.”
I looked down at him, breathing more raggedly than before.
“You… can touch me.”
As if he had been waiting for it, Cassis Pedelian seized my waist.
His arms wrapped tightly around my body, binding me completely, seating me directly on his lap, unable to move.
His hand, without hesitation, dug into the back of my neck, cupping my head and pulling me in.
“Mmph!”
My lips were swallowed in an instant.
Just as I had done before, my lips were sucked and bitten, quickly delving deep inside.
Unconsciously, I squirmed. But Cassis Pedelian hugged me tightly, as if to crush me, swallowing even the moans that escaped me.
“Ha, you really…”
“Hngh… Ungh.”
“In many ways, you have a talent for driving people crazy.”
The man’s low voice, thick with excitement, was ground out between our locked lips, roughly scraping against my eardrums.
Cassis Pedelian bit at my lips and roughly stirred inside my mouth, as if he would devour me completely.
The sound of our saliva mixing as his tongue rubbed strongly against mine filled my ears. A shiver ran down my spine as if I had been electrocuted, and my toes curled.
Then, a hot, feverish breath moved and settled on my neck.
His head dropped and buried itself in my neck. I almost flinched, but the hand that was firmly holding the back of my neck in place forced my head back even further.
The man greedily sucked on the tender skin revealed as every strand of hair flowed back.
“Ah…!”
Trapped in his firm embrace, I trembled.
*I must be crazy… Why does this feel so good?*
“Roxana.”
Every action Cassis Pedelian took was so stimulating that I couldn’t come to my senses.
“Roxana…”
Even the way he called my name in a voice consumed by longing was intoxicating.
Breathing raggedly, I slipped my hands, which had been resting on Cassis Pedelian’s shoulders, down and unbuttoned his shirt.
“Really, you don’t remember me at all?”
“I don’t know… Ungh.”
When I answered vaguely, my mind in a haze, he bit my neck, not gently this time.
It felt like a protest, or perhaps a rebuke.
But seeing him gently lick the spot he had bitten as if to soothe it, it seemed as if he was simply sulking because I had forgotten him.
“Before… you…”
For some reason, that felt a little cute, so I paused to catch my breath and ran my hand through his hair.
“Before we met… Ungh, yeah.”
At that moment, Cassis Pedelian’s hand, which had been caressing my waist, stopped.
“…Before we met?”
Cassis Pedelian muttered to himself, as if he had remembered something.
I ignored it.
Still unbuttoning the man’s clothes in front of me with one hand, I moved the hand that had been stroking his hair down to stimulate his ear and neck.
*What does that matter now? Just hurry up and do what you were doing.*
But Cassis Pedelian didn’t seem to think so.
Suddenly, he grabbed my arm, as if he had realized something, and pulled me away from his body.
The face I met was stiff in a different way than before.
“Roxana. How old are you right now?”
Cassis Pedelian asked in a hushed voice.
His expression was more serious than I expected, so I unconsciously answered truthfully.
“Uh, sixteen…?”
At that moment, Cassis Pedelian inhaled sharply.
His face was covered by his hands, just like when we met before the dinner party.
I stared at the man, who was giving himself a dry wash [covering his face with his hands in distress or disbelief] as if he was trying to digest something, with a puzzled expression.
But Cassis Pedelian’s strange behavior didn’t stop there.
“What are you doing all of a sudden?”
He re-buttoned the clothes that he had pulled down with his own hands while biting and sucking on my neck.
The top that had slipped off, revealing one shoulder, was neatly fastened again, and the skirt that had been rolled up to my thighs while I was sitting on his lap was also neatly pulled down.
I couldn’t understand this sudden turn of events.
“Why are you putting it back on if you’re going to take it off anyway?”
At my blunt question, Cassis Pedelian’s hand stopped abruptly.
He was stiff for a moment, as if he had turned into a stone, then he ran his hand through his hair roughly, as if suppressing something, and muttered in a low voice.
“I’m not taking it off. Neither you nor I.”
For a moment, I thought it meant that he preferred doing it with clothes on… but unless I was an idiot, I quickly realized that wasn’t what he meant.
In Cassis Pedelian’s eyes, besides the light of conflict and anguish that I couldn’t fathom, there was also a vivid desire that hadn’t been extinguished.
“I now realize that you’re too young to do something like this.”
But the unexpected words that followed made me feel like I had been hit hard on the back of the head.
“What? What’s too young about it?”
“How old did you just say you are?”
“…”
I was speechless for a moment.
*Is that… how it is?*
But I felt wronged.
“Listen, I think you don’t know, but just because the age I remember is sixteen doesn’t mean my actual mental age is sixteen, okay? It’s a little hard to explain, but actually, I’m much older than you.”
As expected, Cassis Pedelian didn’t believe me.
He looked down at me just like he looked at Jeremy when he was stubbornly insisting on something absurd.
“Right… The physical age and mental age don’t necessarily have to be the same.”
He tried to appease me by agreeing with me for now, but it didn’t seem like he sincerely agreed.
I guess I hadn’t told this man that I was living my second life until I turned twenty.
Well, it was hard to explain to others.
But even if I told him now… wouldn’t he just misunderstand that I had memory loss and mental confusion?
I was speechless once again at the unexpected obstacle.
Cassis Pedelian was also looking at me with a somewhat troubled expression, as if he found the current situation ambiguous and difficult.
But then, suddenly, I felt something suspicious and flinched, raising my guard.
“Wait…! Don’t even think about doing anything weird to my body like before under the guise of treatment. I told you I don’t trust you, right?”
The chilling sensation of an intangible energy similar to Cassis Pedelian’s flowing into me was still vivid.
When I stood up abruptly and took a few steps back, expressing extreme rejection, a bitter look crossed his face again.
“You did. I remember.”
…Damn it.
Seeing this expression, I felt like I had made a mistake again.
I felt like he was trying to do something to me again, but was I just being overly sensitive and misunderstanding?
I bit my lip and stared at Cassis Pedelian.
“Roxana.”
He quietly reached out his hand to me.
“I won’t do anything you don’t like, so come here.”
I stood still and stared at Cassis Pedelian sitting in the chair, then reluctantly walked forward slowly.
I didn’t take his hand first.
But I didn’t resist when the man’s hand grabbed my arm as the distance narrowed.
Led by his gentle but strong touch, I was seated on his lap again.
The moment I was almost completely enveloped and hugged tightly by Cassis Pedelian, the thorns in my heart that had been sticking out slightly dulled.
