121. Isabel and Lord Roten
Rosette quickly waved her hand.
“No. Why would it be because of the Empress? The person at fault is someone else.”
“The Princess is right, Mother.”
“Still, I don’t feel comfortable.”
Rosette carefully took Ophelia’s hand, who was smiling bitterly.
“May I take a look?”
“Of course.”
Rosette closed her eyes and sent mana into Ophelia’s body. She could definitely feel that Ophelia’s body had not fully recovered.
But thankfully, Rosette could heal her sufficiently.
“Empress, would it be alright if I healed you?”
Ophelia’s eyes widened in surprise.
“Oh my, Rosette, is that you?”
“Yes. It’s embarrassing to say it myself, but I studied magic diligently in the Ivelin Kingdom. If Your Majesty trusts my skills….”
“I do trust you.”
Ophelia replied without hesitation.
“If it’s not too much trouble for you, may I ask you to do it?”
“Yes!”
Rosette began to circulate mana again. The light emanating from her hands enveloped Ophelia’s body.
Soon, vitality began to return to Ophelia’s face. A reddish glow appeared on her pale face and lips.
Rosette, who opened her eyes and observed Ophelia, let out a sigh of relief.
“Do you feel better?”
“Yes.”
Ophelia looked down at her hand that Rosette had held, as if amazed.
“I feel much better. It’s much easier to breathe.”
“I’m glad. I’m really happy that I can be of help to you, Your Majesty.”
“You’ve done so much more than this. I heard everything from Joshua.”
Rosette shifted her weight, as if she was embarrassed.
“No. I just did what was natural.”
Instead of saying thank you, Ophelia hugged Rosette tightly. Rosette awkwardly raised her arms, then hugged her back.
After that, Rosette had tea with Ophelia and chatted for a while. She even called for Pipi in the middle, which made Ophelia even more joyful.
“I should get going now.”
“Alright, go ahead.”
Ophelia released Rosette’s hand, though she seemed reluctant.
“Joshua, escort Rosette out.”
“Yes, Mother.”
Rosette headed to the drawing-room with Joshua. Lucas, who was enjoying refreshments alone, grumbled.
“Hey, kid, why are you here so late? I thought I was going to die of boredom.”
“I’m sorry, Brother. I was having such a pleasant conversation that time flew by.”
“It’s okay. Actually, I didn’t even notice the time passing because I was eating the Empress Palace’s desserts after so long.”
“I’m glad then.”
Rosette left the Empress Palace with Lucas. Before getting into the carriage, she looked at the palace where Michael was staying, but soon turned her head and got into the carriage.

A few days later, Elisha Dallas was executed.
His brother, Alex Dallas, protested, but it was not accepted. Eventually, Alex left the Knights Order, they said.
Rosette deliberately did not go to Elisha’s execution site. There was no point in watching it, as it would only upset her.
And the very next day, Rosette went to the Imperial Palace again to see off the delegation from the Shelton Kingdom.
The Emperor of Ernhardt said that he would not hold the Shelton Kingdom responsible for this incident. Although it did not escalate into a diplomatic issue between the two countries, it was true that their relationship had become quite awkward.
So the Shelton Kingdom’s delegation left the Empire earlier than planned, as if they were being chased out.
However, only one person, Michael Lersherman, did not return to his homeland and remained in the Empire.
“Why aren’t you leaving?”
Rosette asked Michael, who was standing next to her. Her gaze was fixed on the departing delegation.
“Because I haven’t achieved my purpose here yet.”
“Purpose?”
“Yeah.”
Michael smiled brightly. He didn’t say anything more, but Rosette seemed to know roughly what he was talking about.
‘He’s going to ask me to go with him again.’
Rosette changed the subject before Michael could bring it up.
“Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve thanked you yet. Lord Belzer, you’re the one who persuaded him to confess, right?”
“Hmm.”
Michael frowned and smiled subtly.
“Well, you could say that?”
“Thank you. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have been able to resolve the case so quickly. But, you know.”
Rosette lowered her voice.
“Has your relationship with the people of the kingdom become awkward?”
“Not really. Rather, everyone said it was a relief. Because it could have turned into a real diplomatic issue.”
“That’s true.”
“Well, and it wouldn’t have mattered even if it had become awkward.”
“Uh-huh.”
Before she knew it, all the delegates had left the Imperial Palace.
“Then when are you going back?”
“Well. I haven’t decided yet.”
“Then where are you staying in the meantime?”
“I got permission to keep staying at the Imperial Palace, but it’s too boring here. I’m thinking of buying a mansion in the capital and living there.”
“I see.”
Michael subtly asked.
“Will you meet me often in the future?”
“I don’t know.”
“You’re still the same.”
Michael, who gave a bitter laugh, tapped Rosette on the shoulder and went back into the palace.
Rosette looked at his receding figure before leaving the Imperial Palace.

After the attempted poisoning of Ophelia was resolved in that way, Rosette and the other Adrian family members spent surprisingly peaceful days.
Daniel did not head to the north and spent a lot of time with Ines.
Rosette was worried that the relationship between the two might have changed from before, but rather, their relationship became even stronger.
Rosette also spent her time mainly lounging at the mansion and playing with Lucas.
It was the first leisurely time she had since returning to the Empire.
‘Come to think of it, I’ve been too busy all this time.’
As soon as she arrived, there was Joan and Chris’s wedding, followed by the debutante ball and Ophelia’s birthday party.
“Hey, kid, isn’t it nice to play with your brother?”
“Uh-huh.”
“Can’t you answer with a little more sincerity?”
“Uh-huh.”
Rosette turned the page of her book and answered casually. When she didn’t show any interest, Lucas poked Pipi, who was hopping around on the table.
“Hey, Pipsqueak.”
[Pip?]
“Is that so delicious?”
[Peep! Pip!]
Pipi picked up a piece of biscuit from the plate and gave it to Lucas. Lucas laughed, “Wahahaha,” and poured the biscuit into his mouth.
Pipi shook its tail feathers as if satisfied and pecked at the biscuit.
Rosette finally raised her head.
“Brother, are you bored?”
“Huh? No, well….”
Lucas scratched his head as if embarrassed.
“I’m a little bored.”
“Hmm.”
Rosette rested her chin on her hands and tilted her head to the side. Lucas followed her pose and asked.
“Aren’t you bored?”
“I don’t know. I’m very happy these days. I’ve been so busy all this time.”
“That’s true.”
As Rosette was about to read her book again, Lucas shouted hysterically.
“I can’t take it, kid. Let’s go out and play!”
“Huh?”
Lucas jumped up and raised Rosette’s arm.
“Let’s go!”
Before Rosette could say, ‘Uh, uh?’ she was dragged by Lucas and got into the carriage.
Soon, the two arrived at a cafe in the downtown area.
They were sitting on the terrace, eating tea and desserts, when Isabel was seen walking with someone a little further away.
“Oh, it’s Sister?”
Lucas, who found her a little later than Rosette, waved his hand.
“Sister! What are you doing there?”
Rosette also timidly greeted her from next to him.
“Sister, come here.”
Isabel, who found her two younger siblings, talked to the person next to her and then came up to the cafe. Rosette immediately recognized the man following her.
A man with reddish-brown hair and blue eyes. It was Lord Roten.
He was the knight who guided the four Adrian siblings under Joshua’s instructions when he went to the Imperial Palace to meet Ines last time.
Lucas looked back and forth between Isabel and Lord Roten, making a subtle expression. Then he soon narrowed his eyes slightly and smiled with his mouth.
Isabel, who noticed his expression, frowned and asked.
“Why are you smiling like that?”
“What am I doing?”
“Very suspiciously… no.”
“Sister, sit down first.”
Rosette and Lucas moved a little to the outside of the terrace, and Isabel brought a chair around the round table and sat down.
“Then I’ll be on my way.”
As Lord Roten was about to leave, Lucas gestured.
“You said you were Lord Roten, right? Lord Roten, please sit down too.”
Lord Roten sat next to her only after seeing Isabel nod.
Lucas winked at Isabel. Isabel understood the meaning and opened her mouth.
“Lucas, Rose. This is Elliot Roten. He’s a colleague working in the Imperial Knights Order with me.”
Rosette was now able to observe Lord Roten properly.
He had brown skin that was tanned by the sun, and his eyes were sharply raised, but he was smiling kindly, so he didn’t give a sharp impression.
“Lord Roten, as you know, these are my younger siblings, Lucas and Rosette.”
Lord Roten smiled kindly and greeted them.
“I’m Elliot Roten. I’m serving the First Prince closely.”
He let out a sigh of relief so exaggeratedly that it seemed excessive.
“I didn’t feel good about seeing you last time because of an unpleasant incident. I was very worried about Lord Adrian, but I’m really glad that things worked out well.”
“That’s what I’m saying.”
Lucas, who agreed, subtly asked.
“But what brings you to the downtown area with our sister? Perhaps….”
Isabel poked Lucas in the side with her elbow to stop his nonsense.
Lucas’s body had been trained since he was young, so it was solid with muscles. If an ordinary person had hit Lucas, they would have been shocked instead.
However, Isabel’s strength was also considerable. There was a pretty loud thud.
It probably didn’t hurt that much, but Lucas clutched his waist and groaned.
“Ouch, Sister is going to kill someone.”
Isabel glared at him, and Rosette and Lord Roten burst into laughter.
Lord Roten, who soon regained his composure, replied.
“I came out together because there was something to investigate.”
“Ah, an investigation?”
Lord Roten smiled awkwardly and glanced at Isabel. Lucas became interested and pulled his chair closer.
“Are you usually close to our sister?”
“We’re on good terms. Actually, I’m the one who gets help from Lord Adrian.”
Rosette listened to the two men’s conversation and looked at the three of them in turn.
Belatedly, she was able to understand why Lucas was showing interest in Lord Roten, who was just Isabel’s colleague.
‘Could it be…?’
A strange current was flowing between Isabel and Lord Roten.
