The Tomb of the Ancients (2)
After finishing the call with Sujeong, I immediately entered the cave.
The entrance was camouflaged, and the interior was said to be filled with all sorts of traps. They had been functioning without a hitch for hundreds of years.
However, the traps had no chance to activate during that long period. It was because the Curse’s mages had secretly hidden and grown their power.
Kuaaaang!
I had Sarah dismantle the magic circle, and she destroyed it by launching a dark sphere.
A tremendous roar echoed in all directions.
“Uh… is this okay?”
“Hehehe! It should be fine. There aren’t many people on this island anyway.”
“We’ve also set up a barrier, so it should be alright.”
A barrier for camouflage.
The military technology of the United States was not to be ignored, and if explosions were heard in their territory, it would become troublesome in its own way.
That’s why we took the extra step to disguise it.
“Kkeuaaaak!”
“Aaaaagh!”
Kugugugung!
All sorts of sounds were coming from inside the cave.
People’s screams, the sound of traps going off, even the sound of bones breaking.
Even without going inside, it was clear the interior was turning into a mess.
I walked through the inside of the cave.
The traps had already been completely destroyed.
Black mages were sprawled everywhere, knocked unconscious.
It seemed Sarah was wreaking havoc in a very satisfying way.
Unless it was the leader of Curse, there would be no way to stop Sarah. Until then, we could move comfortably on the express lane.
The number of black mages rolling on the floor was quite large.
“There seem to be dozens of them.”
“Our organization has about 100 members. There are always about 50 at the headquarters.”
“That’s quite a lot?”
“I’m sorry to say this, but necromancers are not a popular profession.”
“Is that so?”
I looked at Kalbern.
He smiled awkwardly and nodded.
“That’s right. Summons are easily caught by black mages of the same circle [level of magical ability]. The advantage is charging with a weapon called zerg rush [overwhelming the enemy with a large number of weak units]. If you reach a high circle, you have an enormous zerg rush and each summon is powerful. The pinnacle is the 6th circle. The problem is that it is very difficult to reach that level.”
“I see.”
Black magic was easier to learn than white magic, but even going past the 4th circle was difficult.
In particular, the 6th circle was called the wall of death, and historically, very few people had reached that level.
So, it was understandable that the leader of Curse, having achieved the 6th circle, wanted to go out into the world.
It was a natural decision since no one could stop him.
But he probably didn’t know there would be a monster who reached the 7th circle.
I passed through the hallway and arrived at a large hall.
Here, Sarah was completely out of control.
She was moving around, trampling on the black mages.
There were countless people with broken bones.
I looked around.
Even in this chaos, Lucaine was nowhere to be seen.
“Hmm. Where the hell did the leader go?”
Curse Headquarters Training Room.
Lucaine, who had recently reached the 6th circle, was putting considerable effort into filling the interior with magic power.
He had been training here for days, forgetting to eat, in order to receive high-purity dark energy.
Now, all the black mages on Earth would kneel under his command.
Naturally, all the resources and wealth they possessed would belong to him, and he could manipulate the world economy if he wanted to.
Not only that.
By using the curses of the black mages, he could be reborn as the true mastermind of this world.
He trained with such dreams, and today the end was in sight.
Kuaaaang!
But then, out of nowhere, there was a commotion.
Noise began to be heard from outside.
“Master!”
A black mage came into the training room, dripping with blood.
Lucaine had an expression of disbelief.
Except for the members of the Curse organization, no one knew the location of this place. But the enemy had invaded this place.
“Dark Moon has invaded!”
“Dark Moon!?”
Dark Moon was the first prey he had marked.
It was said that the leader of Dark Moon had changed recently. Kalbern stepped down and Lee Yoosung took his place.
Estimated to be in the 5th circle.
Considering that most leaders of black magic organizations had achieved the 4th or 5th circle, it seemed he was trying to subjugate all the black mages with quantity.
But that was impossible.
“Hmph! These guys are crazy!”
Dark energy exploded from his eyes.
His body was definitely different from before.
The world looked different, and he had the power to do anything.
He also felt like he had regained his youth.
He immediately went out to the hall.
A woman was causing a ruckus here.
She was a woman who was so beautiful that she overflowed with sexiness. The problem was that even the black mages who were being seduced by her charm were smiling.
“Who the hell are you!?”
Ssae-aek!
Kuaaang!
The beauty immediately gathered dark energy and launched it, and he blocked it with a Dark Shield.
Jjeo-jeo-jeok!
The shield cracked.
It was truly an incredible power.
‘Could she be in the 6th circle?’
She seemed to be specialized in hand-to-hand combat.
Among black mages, there were rare individuals who specialized in hand-to-hand combat. They cast buffs all over their bodies and directly struck their opponents.
This woman seemed to be one of those types.
But no matter what characteristics they had, there was a truth. A person with a lower circle cannot defeat a high-circle mage.
The difference between one circle was more than tenfold, so it was natural that they couldn’t win.
All sorts of magic were formed and collided in the air.
Kuaaaang!
From simple magic spheres to Dark Spears, Bone Explosions, Bone Walls, and so on.
Various magics intertwined, and Lucaine felt that his opponent was not easy to deal with.
And after a continuous exchange of attacks, he saw those who were standing with their arms crossed, watching.
Lee Yoosung, Kalbern, the former leader of Dark Moon, and Randel, the vice leader of Curse.
The problem here was that Randel had sided with them.
“You goddamn traitor!”
Kuaaaang!
But there was no time to rebuke him.
His hands and feet were moving busily.
He thought he should blow away this beauty first and then punish them, but he couldn’t seem to win.
“Was she a hidden powerhouse?”
Could it be that Chairman Lee Yoosung was this woman’s subordinate?
Perhaps she was so beautiful that he kept her identity a secret.
In any case, this woman seemed to have reached the 6th circle as well. Otherwise, there was no way she could fight on par with him.
Just when his magic power was running out.
“Tsk. Sarah. Step back.”
“Yes, Master.”
“Master? Heok!”
Only then did he realize.
The woman who had been working so hard until now was just a summon of Chairman Lee Yoosung.
The atmosphere around them froze.
My summon, Sarah, had fought a battle similar to that of Lucaine, the leader of the enemies.
In other words, Sarah’s level could be compared to that of a 6th circle black mage.
That was truly an enormous force.
Just by seeing her use most of the 6th circle magic, one could tell how unexpectedly powerful Sarah was.
As my skills increased, the summons were immediately upgraded as well.
I couldn’t always summon succubi, but if I thought about gathering 100 of these succubi, it would be a truly terrible disaster.
Sarah knelt down in front of me.
“I’m sorry for not meeting your expectations!”
“You did well. You were about to win in a bit, right?”
“I could have won a long time ago……”
Sarah said as if she was wronged.
People were staring at Sarah’s appearance in astonishment.
There was a 6th circle black mage in front of them. But a mere summon had fought equally with someone who had reached that level.
This was a major event.
Of course, she didn’t meet my standards. If I summoned a Death Knight, I could easily kill someone of that level, but it was a bit disappointing that I couldn’t summon a Death Knight on Earth.
“Then shall I warm up a bit?”
“Wa, wait a minute!”
Lucaine was trying to come up with some trick.
He seemed to believe that if he could just get out of here, he could somehow make a comeback. He was probably going to train and reach the 7th circle before coming back. Of course, I was sure that it was almost impossible.
Sarah blocked Lucaine’s rear.
I snapped my fingers.
“Come.”
“Damn it!”
Ssae-aek!
Lucaine, judging that there was no other choice, gave up on escaping and threw himself towards me.
He cast all sorts of buffs on his body, and his hands were filled with tremendous cursed energy. But that wouldn’t be enough to harm me.
I also cast buffs and punched him straight.
Ssae-ae-aek!
Kuaaaang!
“Kkeuaaaak!”
The guy flew away as he was and crashed into the wall.
What changed when I reached the 7th circle was not only the inside of my body.
I had skin that wouldn’t even be damaged by most swords, and I could cushion any impact. In addition, my physical abilities had improved more than tenfold compared to before, and I could win even if I fought knights with swords instead of black magic.
This didn’t require swordsmanship or martial arts.
He was knocked out by my punch.
“Hmm. Surely it’s not over, is it?”
“Ughh.”
“Waaah!”
Cheers erupted from the Dark Moon side.
They probably didn’t think that an organization would collapse so easily.
But it collapsed quickly when I stepped in.
Of course, I came here expecting that from the start.
“You were really amazing!”
“In just one punch!”
“Your flattery has increased quite a bit.”
Even at my words, the disciples flattered me without any particular reaction.
Well, it wasn’t bad to hear.
Jeo-beok-jeo-beok.
I slowly approached Lucaine.
The guy had completely fainted.
“Tie them all up and gather them in one place.”
“Understood!”
The ruined hall.
The Curse’s headquarters, which had boasted a long history, was brutally destroyed. And that too, by a single succubus.
If I had sent two succubi, I could have easily dealt with Lucaine.
All the bound black mages were looking at me with awe. Lucaine, who was also bound, was no exception.
I brought a chair and sat down, and Lucaine was kneeling.
“Could it be that you have reached a supreme level?”
“If you’re talking about reaching the 7th circle, then you’re right.”
“Of course, you wouldn’t have been a match.”
He said bitterly.
He must have thought that he would put all the black mages on Earth under his feet, but it all went to waste because I appeared.
Lucaine spoke again.
“What do you want?”
“I’m going to the origin of black magic with you. And I’m going to start dimensional trade.”
“……!”
The origin of black magic.
In fact, going to the place where black magic originated was like a cheat key for black mages. His expression immediately changed to a bright one.
“I will make a Mana Oath [a magical vow bound by one’s mana, ensuring compliance]!”
“Ah, yes. After that, you’ll have to hand over your wealth and company. Was it called Musk Group? Hand that over first.”
