You’ve Been Defended – Episode 172
The NIS agent took out four bottles of Bacchus [a popular Korean energy drink] from the refrigerator and placed them on the table.
He glanced around cautiously, then pulled out a wet wipe and began scrubbing the table vigorously.
Black dust smeared across the surface.
Jo Bong-joon’s expression soured.
“…Well, if you had told me you were coming, I would have at least cleaned up a bit.”
He scratched his head, looking embarrassed, and gave an awkward laugh.
“Is this friend’s name National Intelligence Service?”
Choi Jong-hyun, who had been watching the NIS agent’s every move, spoke up.
“That’s not my name, but everyone calls me that, so I just go by it. Haha.”
“There must be a reason why your nickname is NIS. Are you incredibly knowledgeable, like the NIS? Is this a detective agency?”
Choi Jong-hyun peered around the karaoke bar’s interior.
His eyes suggested that this place, which looked like a karaoke room that had been closed for about three years, couldn’t possibly be a detective agency.
“Ah, I think the lawyer is wondering if this is some kind of detective agency? That’s not it. I’m just a computer expert… Seeing as how you called me an expert in comment manipulation earlier, you must need some comment manipulation. Am I right?”
At the NIS agent’s question, Jo Bong-joon nodded once.
“So, your nickname is NIS because you’re good with computers. But does a computer expert also do comment manipulation?”
Jo Bong-joon still didn’t let go of his suspicion.
Then, the NIS agent started gesturing towards me, as if urging me to introduce him.
“The reason his nickname is NIS isn’t just because he’s good with computers.”
“Then?”
“He’s actually from the NIS.”
The two men stared at the NIS agent, their mouths agape in disbelief.
“Really? That friend is from the NIS?”
“Ah, no. Bearded sir. What makes you say such a thing about me?”
The NIS agent exclaimed at Jo Bong-joon.
Jo Bong-joon then softened his tone slightly and let out a hollow laugh.
“No, I just… I pictured NIS agents wearing suits. Huh? That’s what I thought. But if you got into the NIS, why did you leave?”
He quickly changed the subject.
The NIS agent then sighed deeply, clutching his forehead like a tragic character in a movie.
“Ah, it’s a long story. It happened a few years ago. I studied like crazy in Noryangjin [a district in Seoul famous for its cram schools] for three years, practically dead to the world, and passed the NIS exam. I was so happy then. I felt like I could fly. Ah, I’m going to be an NIS agent. Isn’t that cool? I dreamed of becoming a pillar of South Korea as an intelligence agent, and so… that’s how it started.”
He began his story, staring at a point in the air.
“I received intensive training after joining the agency. I learned martial arts and shooting, as well as cryptography and computers. Ah, I was truly ready to be deployed to the field immediately! And soon after, the opportunity came to me.”
“…And?”
Choi Jong-hyun and Jo Bong-joon, now engrossed in his story, fixed their gaze on him and listened intently.
The NIS agent’s tone grew increasingly urgent, as if heading towards a climax, and then lowered again.
The tension heightened.
Choi Jong-hyun even swallowed hard.
“Finally, the team leader subtly wrote down an address, telling me and my colleagues that we would be deployed to the field. We would start working in earnest from tomorrow. If we went there, we would meet the colleagues we would be working with. We were so excited as we headed to that place. It was an officetel [a type of multi-purpose building containing both residential and commercial units]. Since we were all computer specialists, we thought we might be going to wage a cyber war with North Korea using computers! With that tension, we entered the officetel!”
“Entered!”
“They made us write comments, damn it!”
The NIS agent threw the empty Bacchus bottle towards the trash can and wailed.
“I didn’t join the NIS to write comments!”
The two men who had been listening to him empathized with the NIS agent’s emotions and burst out in indignation.
“Damn, that’s too much!”
“I know, right? Too much!”
“I was so angry. So, after writing comments for three months, I finally told the team leader. How long do I have to keep writing comments! Then the team leader said. All of this is for the country and the people… Damn, how is writing elementary school-level comments for the country and the people? I hated wasting high-level manpower like me on such trivial tasks. So, as soon as I heard that, I decided to quit! I threw my resignation in a blaze of glory, and that’s how I started my life as a computer expert.”
“You’ve suffered, you’ve suffered.”
“You’ve really been through a lot, my friend. That’s why you’re so skinny, like a chewed-up anchovy.”
“…I was always skinny?”
The atmosphere turned awkward for a moment, but Choi Jong-hyun seemed to understand why I had called him an expert in comment manipulation.
He nodded repeatedly, even praising me for choosing the right person.
“Anyway, as for comment manipulation, well, I have some painful memories, but I’m not with the NIS anymore, so I have to do whatever it takes to make money. So, what kind of comments do you need me to write?”
“Hmm, so this friend is going to write comments alone? Well, since he’s from the NIS, he’ll probably be a one-man army…”
Jo Bong-joon, finally returning to reality, asked with a still suspicious look.
The NIS agent shook his head.
“That’s not it. I have a team. I can guarantee security, of course. There are about a dozen of us, and we’ll be writing comments all day with our laptops. But you should know that the price is a bit high because there are so many people.”
As he said that, the NIS agent persistently watched me.
Choi Jong-hyun and Jo Bong-joon were the same.
As if they could only start working if I, the financier, gave my approval, they were intensely beaming their eyes at me.
“As long as you do the job properly, money is no problem.”
“Awesome! Of course. Have I ever failed to do a job properly when you’ve entrusted it to me? Hehe.”
“Let’s have Mr. Jo Bong-joon take charge of this. The reporter and I aren’t familiar with that world. Let’s have Mr. Jo Bong-joon explain the operation directly.”
“Good. Since you may need time to establish a plan anyway, let us know which sites we should mainly be active on first. We also need time to analyze the tendencies of those sites. That way, we can blend in naturally. Without resistance.”
As the NIS agent explained smoothly, Jo Bong-joon crossed his arms and nodded.
“If you give me a list of the necessary information first, I’ll go home and send it right away. Do you have a business card?”

Two weeks later, an article appeared in a medical journal.
[MyungHwa Pharmaceuticals’ Ambitious Work Antrozol Alpha…Triples the Risk of Cardiovascular Disease]
The person who wrote the article was a medical journalist Choi Jong-hyun had roughly shared a profile of before, who graduated from medical school and also has a specialist qualification.
He started this work while dabbling in the field of media, which he was usually interested in, because he was tired of hospital life, and he seems to be gaining quite a bit of trust in that field.
The content of the article was as we had already shared.
Research results showed that apilataylene and lopetamine, the main ingredients of Antrozol Alpha, tripled the probability of heart disease when they met, but what was the FDA thinking when they approved this drug, and how could MyungHwa Pharmaceuticals develop such a drug?
Of course, the medical journalist simply published an article exposing this uncomfortable truth, and had nothing to do with our ‘conspiracy’.
Choi Jong-hyun chose the reporter as the most suitable person to break this content first, and only reported the published ingredients of Antrozol Alpha and the German research results to him.
And soon after the article was posted, other medical journals began to publish articles with the same content.
The first to react to the article was, of course, all kinds of stock communities.
Of course, half of it would be due to the quick action of the comment manipulation team.
[Look at the idiot who says MyungHwa Pharmaceutical is the hope of bio stocks (Writer: Stocksonlywaytolive)
http://www.medinews.co.kr/pencil/bkl0925 See this article
People who already know, already know that MyungHwa Pharmaceutical is screwed lol Emergency before starting production of Antrozol Alpha lol If you’re going to buy bio stocks, just shut up and bet on Ahnseung Bio lol
I’ll even give you a link in case you hear strange things from some unknown person and come here to do Ahnseung Bio hooliganism
This is an article by a famous medical journalist
Ignore this bastard, he’s a famous Ahnseung Bio hooligan
Search my previous posts, there’s a post summarizing bio stocks lol I told the crazy people who are obsessed with bio stock fantasies to buy Ahnseung Bio, but if you broaden your horizons, there are many things to buy lol These guys are hooligans even if you give them good information lol That’s why your stock is always going to be scrap paper
sg
This seems real. Our manager, who only watches stocks go up and down all day, also saw that article and pulled out of MyungHwa Pharmaceutical lol Guys, there are 20 minutes left until the market closes, sell quickly lol
The guy who gets on MyungHwa Pharmaceutical now is the same as the guy who buys Geumsan stock now lol
Watch them keep MyungHwa Pharmaceutical in check because it’s going to be a hit tsk tsk Are you an employee of Ahnseung Bio? Focus on research at that time lol]
MyungHwa Pharmaceutical is still worth holding, sell it quickly, all kinds of stock sites were noisy with MyungHwa Pharmaceutical as a topic.
Even though it was a bulletin board where dozens of stories were posted every day, half of a page was plastered with stories about MyungHwa Pharmaceutical.
[I have something to say because there seems to be a lot of talk about MyungHwa Pharmaceutical (Writer: Apollo)
It’s been a while since I entered the site, but it’s hot with MyungHwa Pharmaceutical. lol
First of all, let me tell you about myself, I sold all of my MyungHwa Pharmaceutical stocks.
Of course, I also know that there is a story that anti-viral articles are intentionally published to keep them in check.
But after checking the facts of the article, it seems to be correct.
I showed it to an acquaintance in the medical field, and he said that the floor is already very turbulent.
There is a story that big hands are slowly turning their hands on MyungHwa Pharmaceutical.
Okay. Leaving everything else aside, let’s just point out one important thing.
Isn’t the most important thing for you ants [small individual investors] to not lose your principal?
Once this information is released, the stock price will inevitably decline.
If Antrozol Alpha is released without any problems, the stock may rise.
But you should always think about the case that it is not.
There are many companies in the world worth investing in.
I think it’s wise to catch the timing to sell now instead of losing money by sticking to MyungHwa Pharmaceutical for no reason.
Well, even if I say this, some guys won’t listen until the end, but if there’s a guy who loses money and writes a crying post later, I’ll kill him. lol
I wrote the article and checked it again, and MyungHwa’s contract fell by 10,000 won in the meantime. lol
Oh, Apollo hyung [older brother/respected figure] is here
Apollo hyung, I’m going to sell only 1 million won worth of MyungHwa Pharmaceutical, is this not enough? I’m thinking of leaving 1 million won because I think it’s money that I can lose, and I’m just thinking about hitting the jackpot ㅠㅠ
Idiot, Apollo hyung sells everything lol
All the MyungHwa Pharmaceutical hooligans disappeared because Apollo told them to throw away MyungHwa Pharmaceutical lol]
And Jo Bong-joon joined there.
The influence of the existence called Apollo was greater than I thought.
Of course, the comment manipulation team is working hard to create the atmosphere, but with little time left until the market closed, MyungHwa Pharmaceutical’s stock recorded 70 percent of the previous day’s closing price.
