#55.
“MOST?”
“Yes. That’s right.”
“No, not that…. Who *is* MOST?”
“Seriously?”
“Seriously.”
Inside a check-up center at a general hospital in Seoul.
The lunch break for the office staff, who manage appointments and assist patients, was more boisterous than usual.
Director Lee wore an embarrassed expression after asking who MOST was, amidst the chorus of simultaneous ‘Seriously?’ exclamations.
“Are they foreigners? Russian?”
“Director, you live in Seoul, right?”
“Huh? Yes.”
“Almost everyone who commutes by bus from Gyeonggi-do [a province surrounding Seoul] knows MOST.”
“Is it that big? I don’t even know the governor of Gyeonggi-do.”
The staff all burst into laughter at Director Lee’s words.
“There are no mayors in Gyeonggi-do!”
“I’m just joking. Who doesn’t know it’s the governor? So, who is MOST?”
“They’re idols, idols [pop stars].”
“They’re really popular these days. The song we always play is theirs! You said you liked it too, Director!”
“Ah, that song that goes something in English?”
“Yes.”
Director Lee couldn’t help but know it, as it was a song that played everywhere.
“The song is good. I just might not know the idol’s name. It’s hard to keep up with young people. It’s tough.”
“You’ll get ignored by your daughter if you keep that up.”
“No, I think I’m already being ignored by you all?”
The staff burst into laughter at Director Lee’s seemingly sulky remark.
Whether Director Lee grumbled or said anything, the staff were already in a good mood.
Director Lee looked at the staff as if they were strange.
“Last time Son Hye-in came, there wasn’t much of a reaction.”
“That’s because you were grinning all day because you liked her, Director!”
“The reaction to Kang Myung-hoon was just so-so too. That guy is really handsome in movies and in person.”
“We liked him then too. It would have been better if we had met him five years ago.”
“You mean, not in his prime? You guys are too much sometimes.”
“Oh, Director, come on. Anyway, these guys are super hot right now! And to think we’d see them starting from the new year!”
Since it was a hospital located in Gangnam [a wealthy district in Seoul], the check-up center staff often had the chance to see celebrities.
However, this was the first time the young staff were so unanimously excited to see someone.
“But if they’re idols, aren’t they young? Why a check-up? Are they sick somewhere?”
“Not really…. It seemed like just a formality. Their agency must really take good care of them.”
“But they should get checked. Even if they’re young. Celebrities’ lives are different from ordinary people’s. Their days and nights are always switched.”
“That’s right. And what I really felt like they were taking good care of them was that they also applied for a psychiatric evaluation.”
“Oh…….”
Director Lee, who had been talking, let out an exclamation.
Having a job where they are often defenselessly exposed to an unspecified number of people, getting a simple psychological test was a very good idea.
It was even more so when considering the recent incident where a famous entertainer suffering from depression was taken to the emergency room after overdosing on sleeping pills.
Soon, lunch break was over.
As they tidied up, Director Lee gave the staff a light warning.
“I’m saying this because you all seem very interested. Don’t let the results out to the outside…….”
“Of course, Director! We’d never say anything. Especially if it’s something bad.”
“We have that much professional ethics!”
At the staff’s enthusiasm, Director Lee said, “Then that’s a relief,” and left the office, his shoulders slumped.

A little later.
The MOST members, who received their check-up forms from a staff member with a shy smile, widened their eyes.
The check-up form listed the tests they had to take that day and their schedule, and there was something they hadn’t expected.
Woo-cheol looked back and forth between Team Leader Kim Seok-cheol and Jung Gil-joo and asked immediately.
“We’re getting these tests too?”
Team Leader Kim Seok-cheol nodded, and Jung Gil-joo explained in detail.
“You guys don’t just see good comments online; you see a lot of malicious comments too. You can be very stressed mentally.”
“I’m fine…. I’m very healthy in both body and mind!”
Woo-cheol shouted, pursing his lips.
The problem wasn’t doing a psychological test.
It had only been four days since they finished their last schedule on December 31st.
Just when they thought they could rest a little, Team Leader Kim Seok-cheol informed the members of their health check-up schedule.
Woo-cheol usually hated going to the hospital, so even if he got hurt while dancing or caught a cold, he tried to recover on his own somehow.
But to be called out of vacation to go to the hospital….
Even if they knew the necessity, it was like a bolt from the blue for Woo-cheol, Ki-joon, Heung-min, and Louis, who wouldn’t want to go to the hospital.
Now, even trying to get out of the hospital, Woo-cheol’s health was confident, and Ki-joon and Heung-min also showed a look of agreement after a long time.
“Then the results will come out saying we’re healthy, and then we can rest assured.”
However, that was not going to work for Team Leader Kim Seok-cheol.
Moreover, they had already come to the hospital and received their check-up forms.
Woo-cheol glared at Do-jae resentfully for no reason.
It seemed like it was the first time he had resented Do-jae.
This was because he believed that this health check-up schedule was created because Do-jae had collapsed and fallen asleep in the waiting room.
It was half true.
Originally, the company had planned a health check-up for its artists internally, but only MOST’s schedule was moved up.
Do-jae gave an awkward smile.
“There’s nothing painful in the tests…. I guess?”
Do-jae trailed off.
Woo-cheol made a tearful face.
He was already upset that he had been fasting since morning.
For Ki-joon, who hated needles, even the basic blood test was a painful test.
Heung-min, who would normally have slapped Woo-cheol on the back, saying, “In the end, you’re doing this for your own good, why are you glaring at Do-jae?”, was also silent.
‘The two older brothers must really hate the hospital.’
Do-jae pretended not to notice and turned his gaze elsewhere.

After completing simple blood tests and X-ray examinations, Do-jae sat in front of the Department of Psychiatry examination room hallway chair.
To save time, Team Leader Kim Seok-cheol took Ki-joon, Woo-cheol, and Heung-min, and Jung Gil-joo escorted Do-jae, Kyu-sung, and Louis.
Team Leader Kim Seok-cheol was holding onto the members who looked like they were going to run away, and Jung Gil-joo was in charge of the relatively comfortable members.
For Do-jae, it was fortunate that he could escape from the members’ resentment.
Before entering the examination room to meet the doctor, he had to check the examination paper in advance.
Do-jae concentrated on the examination paper and rolled his pen.
“…Do you feel anxious when you go to crowded places? Why are you anxious? Isn’t it a good feeling?”
Louis read the examination paper out loud, muttering.
Do-jae glanced at Louis’s examination paper.
In principle, you shouldn’t look at other people’s examination papers, but he couldn’t help but look because Louis was muttering like that.
Anyway, the test results would be shared between the members and the company.
“Louis. You…….”
Do-jae, who saw Louis’s examination paper, held back the words that sprang to mind.
All the items related to anxiety converged to 0.
The anxiety about interpersonal relationships was zero. Zero.
To be honest…….
It was at the level of living without thinking.
‘But he’s not exactly causing any problems. I didn’t know he could be this innocent even if he was innocent…….’
Do-jae thought blankly.
That’s why he suddenly followed Do-jae, who only had a one-sided acquaintance with him, and chased him all the way here.
‘It seems like he hardly gets stressed either.’
It seemed that only a positive level of stress existed that could motivate him to do better.
It was a surprisingly healthy examination paper, considering that he had just finished a busy schedule without getting enough sleep.
As he had been regularly managed when he was in the Imperial Family [likely a reference to a previous agency or management style], he could guess this fact even with a rough estimate.
‘Good things are good.’
Thinking that he was still Louis, Do-jae turned his head.
Then he saw Kyu-sung’s examination paper.
‘Um…….’
Do-jae tried not to show his surprise.
In Kyu-sung’s case, all the items on the examination paper related to stress were checked.
It was the opposite of Louis.
The V mark was leaning to one side, so he couldn’t help but notice.
If Louis was zero, Kyu-sung was all at the highest level.
‘Was Kyu-sung that stressed?’
He was quiet, but he didn’t cause any problems and silently did his job, so even Do-jae, who shared a room with him, couldn’t guess.
At that time, a nurse who came out of the examination room asked.
“Mr. Kim Kyu-sung. Have you finished checking the examination paper?”
“Ah…. Yes.”
“Then Mr. Kim Kyu-sung, please come in first.”
Kyu-sung stood up awkwardly and entered the examination room.
Do-jae followed Kyu-sung’s back with worried eyes.

After Louis and Do-jae finished their examinations.
It was time to join the other members and go back.
He was about to go to the elevator to go down to the parking lot, but Kyu-sung was not to be seen.
“Did he go to the bathroom?”
At Do-jae’s question, Jung Gil-joo tilted his head.
“Yeah. But why isn’t he coming back?”
“That’s right. Didn’t he go around the time Do-jae hyung [older brother/hyung is a term of endearment] went in? Then it’s been over 20 minutes.”
“No, I thought he was taking a big one…….”
Still, it was too late.
Jung Gil-joo muttered and contacted Kyu-sung on his cell phone.
The signal rang for a long time, but Kyu-sung did not answer the phone.
“Ah. Hyung. He set it to silent because it’s a hospital!”
“Why so much manners…….”
At Louis’s words, Jung Gil-joo muttered as if he was in trouble.
“You guys sit here for a second. I’ll go look for him in the bathroom.”
“Yes.”
It seemed better for the two of them to stay in place in case they got separated.
Jung Gil-joo went to look for Kyu-sung, and Do-jae and Louis sat back down.
“What if he can’t get out because he doesn’t have any tissue?”
Do-jae stared at Louis.
Louis seemed to be saying it quite sincerely.
Fortunately, there were not many people in the check-up center, and no one recognized the two people wearing hats.
The two talked quietly and waited for Kyu-sung and Jung Gil-joo.
“What did the teacher say, hyung? I’m really bright and full of energy. If everyone had a perfect mentality like me, the teacher would have to quit being a doctor. Hehe.”
“As you can see?”
“Yeah. Does it look like that?”
Louis giggled as if he was happy to have been praised by the doctor.
The doctor simply told him about the results of the examination paper check and the autonomic nerve examination, and Do-jae also said that there was no major problem to worry about.
“Me too…. Well. He said I’m a well-balanced person.”
“Oh…. As expected.”
“Did you ask Kyu-sung too?”
“Kyu-sung hyung? No. He went to the bathroom as soon as I came out, so I don’t have a chance.”
Do-jae nodded.
‘I hope he didn’t hear anything bad from the doctor?’
It was when his worries were about to deepen a little more.
Kyu-sung was walking from the opposite side where Jung Gil-joo had left.
“Oh, hyung!”
Louis jumped up and greeted Kyu-sung.
“Hyung. The bathroom is over there, why are you coming from there? Where did you go?”
“Ah…. I got lost…. Sorry.”
Louis laughed lightly at Kyu-sung’s words.
“That’s right. Hyung, you have no sense of direction. That’s why you went alone! Gil-joo hyung went to look for you?!”
“I thought Do-jae wasn’t done yet…. I should have contacted you. Sorry.”
At Kyu-sung’s words, Do-jae felt relieved and picked up his cell phone.
It was to contact Jung Gil-joo, who was wandering around in vain.
“No! I don’t want to!”
It was then.
With a loud noise, someone rushed towards Do-jae.
“You rascal! Aren’t you coming here?!”
