The events of the recent past flashed through Celonia’s mind like a slideshow.
The scenes of Ian, Reyev, and MacRyan visiting her one after another, shortly after she had woken up, to announce they had fallen in love with Grace and were leaving her.
She had accepted that people’s feelings could change, as hearts couldn’t be held captive.
However, she found it suspicious that the male leads had all left her, the original female lead, at once, only to fall in love with Grace, a character who hadn’t even appeared in the original story. Therefore, she had tasked Gillian with gathering information about Grace.
The result was that nothing suspicious had been found.
So, she had initially thought that the male leads’ hearts had simply changed and had resigned herself to it.
But what if it wasn’t just a change of heart, but someone had forcibly altered their affections?
What if that was the truth Gillian was trying to conceal?
Celonia looked at the cake in the box on the floor.
The pound cake was emitting a terrible stench, a dessert Reyev didn’t particularly like.
Could this be something she received from Grace?
A chill ran down her spine as the pieces of the puzzle fell into place.
Celonia, her pupils shaking, asked Emily,
“Emily, why do you like Grace the most?”
“Um, I keep thinking about Grace! My heart goes pit-a-pat!”
“Since when?”
“I don’t know! I want to go! I want to go see Grace!”
Emily, annoyed by the constant questions and being prevented from going to Grace, threw a tantrum as if she was about to cry.
Celonia soothed and coaxed Emily with a troubled expression.
‘Keeps thinking about Grace and her heart goes pit-a-pat?’
Strange. Definitely strange. It doesn’t make sense.
Emily was just a young child, maybe five years old at most.
Suddenly and blindly liking someone like this? Especially a noble lady?
“I wanna go!”
Just then, Emily, who had been struggling, suddenly stood up from her seat, unable to bear it any longer.
“Emily!”
Celonia quickly grabbed Emily’s small hand.
What should she do? Should she take her to the medical center?
“I wanna go! I wanna go to Grace!”
Celonia, with no time to hesitate, quickly reached out her hand towards Emily, who was wriggling and throwing a tantrum.
It was just a thought. If it was a heart that was forcibly swayed, maybe she could heal it.
Her palm touched Emily’s chest.
Immediately, a white light of healing flowed from her hand and was absorbed into Emily’s body.
“…….”
Emily, who had been struggling just a moment ago, stopped all her movements.
“Haa, haa…….”
Then, she began to breathe rapidly, as if she was out of breath.
“It’s okay. Breathe slowly.”
Celonia comforted Emily and continued to send out the light of healing.
She couldn’t take her hand away, as she felt she had to continue until her breathing stabilized.
It had already been over a minute since she had used healing magic.
A considerable amount of healing light had already entered Emily’s body, but her breathing still hadn’t stabilized.
Celonia focused, trying to hold onto her dizzy mind.
She was putting too much power into it at once, which was putting a strain on her body, but she couldn’t let go.
“Haa…….”
After a few dozen more seconds, Emily finally let out a steady breath.
Celonia, her complexion pale, slowly removed her palm.
The light of healing, which had brightly illuminated the space between them, faded and then disappeared completely.
Her vision spun. Beads of sweat were forming on her forehead, and the color had drained from her face.
Celonia barely managed to steady herself as her body swayed, and she first checked Emily’s complexion.
“Emily, are you okay?”
“Yes…….”
Emily fidgeted with her small hands and nodded her head.
“Are you really okay? You don’t need to go see Grace?”
“Who’s that?”
Emily tilted her head, her clear eyes as if she was hearing the name for the first time.

“How did it go?”
Grace asked Gail with an anxious expression.
As soon as she returned to the mansion with Reyev, she had summoned Gail and ordered him to find the child who had received the cake.
And now Gail had returned after completing the search.
“I couldn’t find any children showing abnormal symptoms.”
“What? Did you search properly? Did you search every nook and cranny in the direction I told you?”
Despite Grace’s nervous questioning, Gail answered calmly.
“Yes. I searched twice, but I couldn’t find a cake box or any children showing symptoms.”
Grace bit her nails nervously.
“Where did it go!”
“Why did you give it to a child……! You’re no help at all.”
Then, she muttered, blaming Reyev’s actions for creating this mess.
“Search again! And keep an eye out in case they come to the house, and deal with them quickly if they do!”
“Yes. I understand.”
Gail bowed as if to accept the order and immediately tore a scroll. As before, he disappeared with a magic circle [a symbol used to channel magical energy].
“Ugh! Seriously!”
Grace thrashed around alone, messing up her hair as if frustrated by the stressful and annoying situation.
But soon, she composed herself and stood in front of the mirror.
After tidying her disheveled hair and checking her appearance one more time, she left the room.
Then, she approached Reyev, who was waiting in the dining room.
“Reyev, does the food suit your taste?”
A charming smile was drawn towards Reyev.

“Oh, Miss!”
Ella saw Celonia staggering out of the room and ran to her.
“What happened?”
Tan saw Celonia’s pale face and frowned, approaching her immediately.
He quickly swept Celonia, who looked like she was about to fall forward, into his arms.
In the blink of an eye, Celonia felt her body floating in the air. His strong arms were firmly supporting her behind her knees and back.
She wanted to ask him to put her down because of the embarrassing position, but she didn’t have the strength to walk to the carriage.
“Um…… E, Emily?”
“She’s fine. Go inside.”
Celonia smiled faintly as the girl asked cautiously.
“Thank you!”
The girl bowed deeply and quickly went back into the room.
“Ella, can you take care of this?”
“Yes, yes!”
Ella took the well-closed cake box that Celonia handed her.
“Please just take it to the carriage.”
Celonia, still feeling dizzy, spoke with difficulty and rested her head on Tan’s chest.
From the beginning, the light of healing was not something that could be used indefinitely.
So, during the subjugation [a military campaign to suppress rebellion], she hadn’t been able to heal herself because she had used up all her energy healing the male leads who had been seriously injured.
But back then, she had been able to heal up to three people with serious injuries at once, but after healing Emily once, she felt drained.
Did she use that much healing magic during the subjugation?
Or maybe she’s been feeling tired lately, so her physical strength has deteriorated, which is why it’s so difficult.
“Just for a moment…….”
“The carriage. I want to go by carriage.”
Celonia cut off Tan’s words.
She knew very well what he was going to say.
He was probably going to suggest returning to the mansion using his teleportation ability.
Of course, that would be convenient, but there was no way to explain it to Ella.
Her body was tired, but not to the point of dying, so it was better to just take the carriage back to the mansion normally.
“Anyway.”
Tan was displeased with Celonia for being stubborn even in this situation, but he steadily moved his legs.
He held her firmly in his arms, so she wouldn’t get dizzy, and walked carefully and quickly, trying not to shake her as much as possible.
Thanks to him, Ella moved her feet almost running to reach the carriage.
Thanks to that, Celonia, who was comfortably in the carriage, stared intently at the cake box that Ella had placed on the seat next to her.
The carriage was moving with a jolt, and the smell escaping through the gaps, even though it was tightly closed, made her nauseous, so she had to open the window.
‘There’s something in there.’
She didn’t know what she had done to the food, but Emily had eaten it and couldn’t shake the thought of Grace.
Grace probably did something to the food, and the male leads seemed to have eaten it.
‘That’s it. That’s what happened.’
Now she was starting to get a grasp of it.
Why the male leads’ hearts had suddenly changed.
