The King of Redford listened.

“I agree with you,” he said. “Redford was failing, but Roman Dmitry saved us. He didn’t just give us money. He showed us how to fix our country. We will face the truth and do what is right. Call up soldiers. Make an army. When the time comes, we will fight for Dmitry.”

They were ready for war.

They had moved their soldiers, but Hector Kingdom asked them to wait, saying they would handle it first. So, Redford stopped their soldiers from crossing the border.

Redford’s help was a tricky issue.

Hector had a good reason to act at the border between Hector and Valhalla, but Redford had to be ready for war with Valhalla.

He stood up.

There was nothing more to say.

The King of Redford was not asking for agreement. He was telling them what he would do. The Kingdom Alliance would have to break apart.

“Redford is leaving the Kingdom Alliance,” he said. “Go ahead and watch from a distance, as always. When the Empire threatens you, I will see if you say the same thing then.”

With that, the King of Redford stormed out of the room.

The room was silent with shock.

As people were trying to understand what happened, Edwin Hector spoke up.

“I thought this meeting would be different,” he said.

He was there representing Hector, even though he wasn’t a king.

“I don’t know if you remember the last meeting, but it was sad,” Edwin Hector continued. “The Chronos Empire did terrible things, but the meeting was not about making them pay. It was about how to solve the problem quietly. I understand. Hector was also weak because of the Valhalla Empire. It is hard to fight the Empire. But this time, it’s different.”

Redford felt differently.

Redford was thankful to Roman Dmitry, but Edwin Hector had practical reasons.

“The Kingdom Alliance was too weak to fight the Empire then,” Edwin Hector explained. “It’s not much different now, but Roman Dmitry is stopping the Empire for the first time.
