Lee Han cursed the Skull Headmaster for giving him such a strange bracelet.
A bracelet that could let a demon burst out and take over his body?
No sensible wizard would wear something like that.
But the Skull Headmaster had his reasons.
The demons trapped inside the Demon Bracelet weren’t just locked up; their existence was tied to it.
This meant that even if they got out for a bit, they couldn’t stay out long and would be pulled back in.
Plus, there were so many demons crammed inside.
They were sealed in a way that mixed them all together, making it hard for any one of them to become themselves again and escape on their own.
Even if one did manage it, there would be signs, and it would take a long time, so wizards would notice.
But Anpursas quickly became himself again and burst out of the bracelet before Lee Han could react.
The heat of the battle woke up Anpursas, a demon of fighting, but the main reason was the huge magical power of the wizard wearing the bracelet.
Even when Lee Han wasn’t trying, the magic flowing from him whenever he used spells was very strong.
Lee Han, not knowing this, just cursed the Skull Headmaster.
“Don’t talk nonsense, demon. Do you think I’d make a deal with a demon?”
“You underestimate me, Lee Han! Even though I’m trapped here, I used to be the terror of all enemies!”
Anpursas laughed at Lee Han.
Even though he was sealed and tied to the Demon Bracelet, Anpursas was still a strong demon.
Strong enough to easily take over the body of a wizard like this.
“Since you’re the master of the seal and have given me your magical power, I won’t be too harsh.”
“Wait. Gave me magical power? What are you talking about…?”
“Behold, and fear me, for I am Anpursas!”
Anpursas finished talking and used his power to grab Lee Han’s body.
He wanted to borrow the body for a moment to show what a true warrior’s battle looked like.
But nothing happened.
Anpursas, who was trying as hard as he could, and Lee Han, who was tense, were both confused.
“Is my power not back yet?”
Anpursas tried to show his power again.
But the human wizard’s body felt too strong, like trying to lift a mountain.
After struggling for a while, Anpursas gave up, exhausted.
“I will not return inside until you give me a chance to battle!”
“Is this demon mad?” Lee Han thought, surprised. He thought Anpursas would give up and go back into the bracelet. Demons really were strange. Maybe they don’t feel shame at all, Lee Han mused.
“Fine, stay there,” Lee Han said, a little annoyed.
“I want to fight! I want to fight! I want to fight!” Anpursas shouted in his head, again and again.
Lee Han closed his eyes for a moment. I need to talk to the Skull Headmaster, he thought. Is there a way to just get rid of all these demons? Maybe destroy the bracelet completely?
“Gainando, listen carefully.”
“I am Anpursas!”
“Ah. Sorry. Anpursas, listen carefully. Of course, I want to give you a chance to battle. As the master of you trapped demons, why wouldn’t I?”
Lee Han decided to persuade the demon instead of ignoring him, since he was shouting so loudly.
“But this isn’t a battle; it’s a festival. Look.”
“Are they bleeding?”
“If a festival is fun, people might bleed a little.”
“Are there broken bodies and corpses over there?”
“Those aren’t corpses; they’re just people who have fallen down for a moment. It’s because the festival is so fun.”
The demon didn’t really understand, but he accepted it for now since Lee Han was his master.
“So you’re saying there’s no chance for me to battle? That’s too bad…”
Rumble!
Suddenly, the air shimmered and tore open like paper, revealing a swirling, icy rift. A wave of icy cold swept through the air, making everyone shiver.
The seniors felt an enemy coming from another dimension and started chanting spells.
“If it’s cold…'”
“If it’s the Snow Fortress, we’re in trouble.”
“Please, not the penguin army. Please, not the penguin army.”
The seniors remembered the worst cold enemies they had faced and tensed up.
“Is this your territory too? Why do you wizards live in such unstable places?”
Lee Han recognized the familiar figure and hung his head.
The Frost Giant King, wearing a blue ice crown, had come through the rift.
Lee Han snapped out of it, seeing the seniors rushing around in a flurry of motion.
What’s important now is to stay still while the seniors deal with the Frost Giant King.
It would be bad if the Frost Giant King recognized Lee Han and called out to him.
“I will not return inside until you give me a chance to battle! I will not return inside until you give me a chance to battle! I will not return inside until you give me a chance to battle!”
“Shut up already,” Lee Han growled at the demon, who was shouting loudly.
Once Anpursas went back into the bracelet, Lee Han decided never to call him again, no matter what.
No matter how much help he needed, he would never summon him!
“A young challenger, are we? Have you been well? You haven’t aged much, I see.”
The Frost Giant King recognized Lee Han and greeted him.
Lee Han’s staff had a stone from the Frost Giant King, so he would definitely recognize him.
Damn it.
Lee Han squeezed his eyes shut, feeling like he knew what was going to happen.
“Seniors, take cover!”
“What nonsense are you spouting?” Phil retorted, telling him not to joke around.
“What kind of senior would bring a junior and then run away?”
“And no matter how strong that guy is, this is Einrogard.”
Before he could finish, Cohalti launched the undead army.
As the senior who knew the relationship between the Frost Giant King and Lee Han the best, he felt a great responsibility.
“Frost Giant King, do not touch the young wizard!”
“A dark wizard? That aura feels familiar… Where are you spouting nonsense from!” Cohalti led the ghost army and attacked the Frost Giant King.
But the Frost Giant King was strong. He summoned the penguin army from the rift and started pushing back Cohalti’s ghost army.
Some of the seniors screamed when they saw the penguin army.
“Good heavens! It’s the penguin army!!”
“Of all things!”
Lee Han was surprised by the seniors’ reactions but understood when he saw the penguin army fighting.
They were covered in cold magic, biting and tearing through the ghost army, trying to break through, and even the strong ghost army was being pushed back.
“Support! Support!!”
“It’s dangerous if they break through there! Deal with the penguin army first!”
The seniors were horrified by the penguin army and rushed to deal with them first.
Anpagon was too scared to aim the weapon at the Frost Giant King. Sweat ran down his back as he aimed at the penguin army, ready to fire if they moved even slightly in that direction.
The Frost Giant King looked back at Lee Han.
“Go.”
The Frost Giant King gave the order, and monstrous ice apes poured from the rift, their eyes glowing with cold fire, their breath misting in the air, roaring and charging forward.
A path of cold magic formed in the air, stretching towards Lee Han. The ice apes became even stronger on it.
The healing magic students prepared for battle, but Lee Han thought they weren’t a good match.
To use healing magic to attack, the opponent has to be alive.
Using healing magic to attack meant understanding and twisting the opponent’s nerves, organs, and tissues to cause the most damage.
But that didn’t matter against these ice spirits. It was like fighting with one arm tied behind his back.
It would have been better if he could have dodged the attacks like last time, but the Frost Giant King had made it harder after the trial.
Those ice apes were not enemies he could easily beat.
If I use fire magic without control, the seniors will get hurt even more.
“Lend me your arm, Anpursas!”
“I told you to shut up.” Lee Han’s voice turned cold as he lost patience.
But Anpursas, being a demon, didn’t care about feelings.
“I swear on my name that I will return if you let me destroy those creatures!”
“Can you even destroy them?” Lee Han was doubtful.
Anpursas might have been able to in his original form.
He seemed like a strong demon.
But Anpursas had to fight by borrowing Lee Han’s body.
Lee Han doubted he could fight well even if he lent it.
“If I don’t destroy them all, I will be your servant and slave. I, Anpursas, as a warrior…” Anpursas boasted about how great a warrior he was and how many enemies he had defeated.
Lee Han didn’t believe it. He could say the same things.
I defeated a royal and captured a basilisk, and the king of ghouls…
But time was running out. The ice apes were about to break through the healing magic students.
As one tore apart the vines and tried to hit a senior, Lee Han gritted his teeth and shouted.
“If you don’t handle this, I’ll destroy you too. Go!”
Phil clicked his tongue at the ice apes.
They were better than the penguin army, but still the worst possible enemies.
Because they were made of ice, he couldn’t use much magic.
“Let’s bring the penguin army guys over here! We can deal with them better!”
“Understood. Signaling now…”
Before he could finish, a black light flew from behind and cut an ice ape in two.
The healing mages’ physical abilities were enhanced by magic.
The mages were confused by the attack that had flown past their enhanced senses.
“What…”
But the surprise had just begun.
Lee Han, holding the Dawn Star sword, started to show killing intent and sliced through the ice apes.
The junior from the Wardanaz family looked more like a swordmaster than a mage.
The ice apes swung their clubs, but the junior left afterimages and vanished, then cut the apes in one stroke.
“It’s Aura!?” A senior from the White Tiger Tower was shocked to see Lee Han use Aura.
The highest level a talented swordsman could reach!
The ice apes realized Lee Han was a warrior they couldn’t face and changed their strategy. The moment one was cut, they all charged at once, trying to grab him.
But Lee Han swung his fist, smashing the ice apes, and roared.
“Our junior is very angry today… isn’t he?”
