264.
Gooooooo-!
The mana surged, its power intensifying.
As the snowstorm raged, it swirled around Olivia’s camp, drawn in as if by a vortex.
The pure white mana met the snow, emitting a dazzling light.
Gooooooo-!
The ground shook violently, making it difficult to stand. Soldiers lost their footing and tumbled as if caught in an earthquake. Only the knights desperately held their ground.
The waves of snow and mana around Olivia’s camp intensified.
Duke James spoke with difficulty.
“Your Highness, it’s impossible to get closer.”
He wanted to reach Olivia’s camp, but the mana’s intensity was overwhelming.
‘Is she going to be alright?’
He worried about Olivia’s safety.
Could Olivia remain unharmed while concentrating on her training amidst this mana surge?
Or was it possible that Olivia herself was the source of this wave?
If Olivia was responsible, it meant one of two things.
Either the mana had spiraled out of control.
Or she was ascending to a new realm of power.
The current situation felt more like the former.
The mana was uncontrolled, affecting everything around her.
I bit my lip.
If Olivia was on the verge of entering a new realm, my interference could have a detrimental effect.
That was why I hesitated to summon the Spirit King immediately.
My worries deepened as the mana surged with the force of a raging storm.
Kwaaaang-!
Tents were ripped apart and blown away, and the light intensified, almost blinding us.
Gooooooo-!
Mana began to coalesce in a single point.
The wave gradually subsided, and the light slowly faded.
I immediately rushed toward Olivia’s camp.
Duke James, Marquis Mike, and the knights followed closely behind.
The light had completely vanished.
Olivia’s camp had been obliterated by the mana surge, leaving only Olivia standing in its place.
“Olivia!”
I shouted.
Everyone halted before Olivia as if on cue.
Olivia couldn’t be… dead, could she?
I pushed aside the fear.
It couldn’t be.
I couldn’t sense anything from Olivia.
“Olivia.”
I called out again.
Olivia opened her eyes.
“Olivia!”
Olivia stood up and smiled brightly.
“It seems… I’ve caused everyone some worry.”
I embraced Olivia tightly.
“Are you alright?”
“I’m fine.”
Realizing the onlookers, I cleared my throat and gently stepped back.
Duke James’ voice broke the silence.
“Olivia.”
Olivia hugged Duke James.
“Thank you, Father.”
“I am the one who is grateful.”
Duke James’ shoulders trembled.
What must he have felt, allowing his daughter to risk her life for the sake of humanity?
If something had happened to Olivia, Duke James would not have been able to bear it.
One of the knights spoke up.
“The Crown Princess has reached the realm of Grand Sword Master…”
The knight quickly clamped his mouth shut.
He lowered his head, facing the intense stares.
“I apologize.”
“No, I was curious as well. Olivia, have you mastered all of the family’s secrets?”
“Yes. The results were positive. I have entered a completely new realm.”
Duke James’ expression hardened.
I asked without thinking.
“Entering a new realm means…?”
“Yes. That’s right… a completely new realm.”
Olivia had rewritten the history of the continent.
Duke James was the first to congratulate her.
“Well done.”
Everyone joined in, offering their congratulations to Olivia.
A soldier approached from a distance.
“Your Highness!”
The soldier knelt on one knee and saluted.
“What is it?”
“Scouts have returned.”
“Scouts?”
“Yes. They report that over twenty thousand Undead are advancing as the vanguard.”
“I’ll go.”
I responded to Olivia’s words.
“Let’s go together. Have the soldiers prepare.”
Olivia suggested.
“It would be good for the army’s morale if the entire force went.”
Twenty thousand Undead was a significant threat, but our current forces were more than capable of overwhelming them.
“The entire force?”
“Yes. I’ll handle the Undead.”
There were many types of Undead.
Depending on the number of powerful Undead among the twenty thousand, we could divide our forces, but it wouldn’t make much difference for humans.
The strength of ten thousand ordinary infantrymen was vastly different from the strength of ten thousand infantrymen supported by a hundred knights.
I could also summon the Spirit King and completely annihilate the twenty thousand Undead.
It would be problematic if there were powerful Undead like Liches [powerful undead spellcasters] or Death Knights [undead warriors].
Olivia’s confidence suggested that there were no such complications.
“Are you sure you’ll be alright?”
“It’s to boost morale. Hearing about my new realm is different from witnessing it firsthand.”
I was also curious.
What did a Grand Sword Master look like?
I couldn’t sense anything different about her.
She looked like an ordinary knight.
“Okay. Let’s go.”

With Duke James and Arun both heading west, Ron was once again directly overseeing everything.
Although he had delegated much of his power to Arun, the Emperor’s authority remained essential.
Many subjects respected Arun, who was forging a new legend, and they also respected and feared Ron. However, there was a key difference between Ron and Arun.
That difference was trust.
Ron was the founding Emperor, and his countless legendary battles were not history that could be erased by a single defeat.
The subjects still held absolute trust in Ron.
They feared Ron more than anyone else, but they had no doubt about his ability to secure victory.
In an ordinary country, the descent of the Demon King Belushi alone would have triggered chaos, with riots and the potential collapse of the nation.
In the Empire, however, the citizens only felt anxiety, and no riots occurred.
This demonstrated Ron’s strong leadership.
There were crises, but Arun admirably filled Ron’s void.
“I’ve found something.”
Recently, Lillian had been directly assisting Ron.
“What is it?”
“Traces of the Reinhardt family.”
After the Pope’s visit, Lillian dedicated herself even more to uncovering traces of the Reinhardt family.
The reason was simple.
The Pope had provided information about the Reinhardt family.
“Is there anything useful in the information the Pope gave you?”
“It’s content I found in undeciphered texts.”
Lillian handed Ron a concise document.
There was no sign of the etiquette expected of a subject towards the Emperor, but Ron didn’t mind.
A 9th Circle Mage [the highest level of magic user] was someone who had achieved a level of power that even the Emperor could not attain.
It was fortunate for Ron that Lillian remained in the Empire.
Moreover, she was working alongside Arun to find ways to deal with the Demon King, so he could overlook minor breaches of etiquette.
“The Demon King Belushi’s rank in the Demon World is 3rd.”
“That’s right.”
Ron smiled wryly.
“The most powerful Demon King didn’t descend, and the 3rd ranked Demon King did, and the continent is worried about destruction. When I see things like this, I realize how weak human power truly is.”
“That’s because the Demon King Belushi descended with all of his power. Normally, when a being manifests from the Demon World to the Middle World [the human world], there are considerable restrictions on their power. Because it’s not their true form. Belushi’s true form has descended.”
“Those Purification Flame bastards have done something truly absurd. Not a manifestation, but a descent…”
Ron stroked his chin and read the document.
Information about Belushi was described in great detail.
“The Demon King of Destruction!”
“Demon Kings also have characteristics associated with their rank. Belushi is a Demon King with the power of destruction. If the Demon King of Shadows had descended, the sun of the continent would have disappeared, and if a Demon King with other powers had descended, the impact on the continent would have been different depending on that power.”
“Because Belushi is the King of Destruction, the continent will be destroyed?”
Lillian nodded.
After that, Belushi’s age, characteristics, and estimated power were detailed.
“The Aura Blade [a sword technique that enhances the blade with magical energy] of a Sword Master can’t even pierce his skin, and magic up to the 7th Circle is ineffective. He’s a monster.”
“He’s a monster.”
“It wasn’t for nothing that you said you needed a Grand Sword Master, a 9th Circle Mage, and a top-level Spirit Master.”
“That’s just the minimum requirement. There’s no guarantee that you, me, Olivia, and Arun can defeat the Demon King Belushi.”
“Does that mean that I and Olivia need to reach Grand Sword Master to have a chance? And Arun needs to summon all four elemental Spirit Kings [powerful spirits representing the elements of earth, air, fire, and water].”
“That’s right. If that happens, it will be a plausible fight. You don’t seem to have much hope, and I’m expecting Olivia.”
Ron nodded.
“I can’t find a solution at all. If I had known this would happen, I would have focused solely on the sword. I shouldn’t have learned magic and spiritism.”
7th Circle Mage, top-level Spirit Master.
That was why Ron was able to found the Empire and build a country that aspired to unification.
But it was useless against the Demon King Belushi.
Magic up to the 7th Circle was essentially useless, and even the top-level spirits were instantly unsummoned when struck by the Demon King Belushi’s attacks.
“Belushi is building his own territory after descending?”
“The Reinhardt family has made several predictions about what will happen when the Demon King Belushi descends. One of them is the construction of a new world after destruction.”
“Construction of a new world after destruction?”
“The Kingdom Alliance is completely transforming into the land of the Demon World with Belushi’s descent. Maybe there are even monsters roaming around by now?”
Ron clicked his tongue.
“Even monsters?”
“When all the empty land turns into the Demon World, Belushi will begin his advance. He will erase the existing continent and expand the Demon World’s territory on the cleared land. That way, the Middle World becomes another Demon World.”
“The reason he’s staying still is because he’s turning the entire Kingdom Alliance into the Demon World right now?”
“Yes.”
Ron narrowed his brows.
“Then isn’t it difficult to approach Belushi? Monsters are blocking the way, and if it’s the Demon World, it seems like they’ll even create demons?”
“That’s why we need the power of the Order [a religious organization]. Priests, including the Pope, exert tremendous power over monsters and demons. They will clear the way, and we will face Belushi.”
Knock knock-!
“Come in.”
The two stopped talking for a moment.
“Your Majesty!”
It was the Imperial Palace Mage.
“What’s going on?”
“News has arrived from the west through the communication crystal ball. The Crown Princess has reached a new realm!”
The mage’s face was beaming with joy.
Ron jumped up.
Lillian’s eyes widened.
She had predicted that Olivia would reach Grand Sword Master before Ron, but she couldn’t hide her shock at the news that she had actually achieved it.
“R, really?”
“The Crown Prince himself delivered the news. The fairies sent twenty thousand Undead as the vanguard, and Crown Princess Olivia said she would face the vanguard alone.”
“So what’s the result?”
The mage calmly replied to Ron’s question.
“The news of the battle result has not yet been delivered. He said he sent a communication before going to war.”
Ron turned to Lillian.
“The necessary conditions are gradually being met.”
