“Hyung, aren’t I cute?” Episode 352
We had dinner at the hotel.
The buffet was quite good. I figured breakfast would be the same.
Then we all gathered in Seung-jun’s room.
Why? Well, after playing outside all day, especially in the summer, it’s nice to soothe sun-heated skin with a massage pack.
No matter how much sunscreen you put on, the sun is still pretty strong.
“Hyung, your face is red.”
“Huh? Yeah. Si-ha’s is red too.”
“Si-ha same hyung?!”
Is *that* what you’re focused on?
It’s not just my face; my arms and legs are red too because I wore light summer clothes.
My legs are a little better, though.
“Okay. Okay. Everyone lie down.”
At Seung-jun’s mom’s words, everyone scurried onto the bed.
Thinly sliced aloe was brought out from somewhere. A handmade pack, I see.
But there was also a face pack in her hand, and that was aloe too.
It’s all aloe heaven.
“Ahahaha. Funny.”
“Hehehe.”
“Hyung, come here too.”
The three of them lie on one bed, giggling.
I want to lie there too, but there’s not enough room.
That spot is just right for three kids.
“Hyung will put a pack on Si-ha.”
“Hyung too?”
“Hyung will do Si-ha’s and then do hyung’s.”
“Si-ha wait.”
“???”
What are you waiting for? What are you expecting?
But Si-ha, you forgot about drawing, didn’t you? You’re so relaxed?
I’m sure you had an idea, but you forgot it coming here.
Or maybe you’re distracted by the pack.
“Wow. Cool.”
I tore open the aloe pack and put it on Si-ha’s face.
I evenly applied the rest of the aloe to his arms and legs.
It’s so funny watching the three of them like that.
“Si-hyuk, you should do it too.”
“Ah, thank you.”
“Hyung-nim [older brother/term of respect]. I’m already doing it.”
Baek Dong-hwan is sitting in a comfortable chair in the hotel room, looking at the ceiling.
Should I lean against the bed?
“Hyung. Here.”
“Well, hyung can’t go there. Instead, I’ll lean my face on the side where Si-ha’s face is.”
I stretched out my legs first and put aloe on my face.
I should do it on my arms too, but I couldn’t lie down, so I felt a bit bad.
Instead, I applied aloe cream.
It’s all aloe.
“Oh. Cool.”
“Hyung. Cool. Real cool.”
“Si-hyuk hyung. If you do this pack, your skin will be good.”
“Hana will be pretty too.”
Kids. Your skin can’t get any better than it already is, okay? And this is to soothe it.
Of course, it’s also good for the skin.
“Hyung. Getting hot.”
“Yeah. It’s normal.”
Over time, the aloe gets warm.
“Why?”
“Your face was red, right? But the aloe is taking away that heat.”
“Really?! Aloe sauna?!”
“Pfft.”
“Sauna on Si-ha’s face!”
What’s with that expression? I imagine the aloe on Si-ha’s face enjoying it like an old man, saying, ‘Oh, it’s nice and warm.’
Seung-jun says.
“I’m a supernatural being now. Fire is coming out of my body, so the aloe is getting grilled.”
Is Seung-jun comparing his body to a grill?
Seriously, these kids are so unpredictable.
“Hana is giving her face and body a scrub with the aloe. That’s why it’s getting hot.”
Hana is smart. Frictional heat. Of course, she didn’t think of that.
Listening to the kids, I don’t know how they express themselves so cutely.
Of course, they’re thinking within the limits of their knowledge.
I also wonder if Si-ha has influenced the kids a lot.
“Hyung. When take off?”
“Huh? We’re going to refill it one more time.”
Just in time, Seung-jun’s mom came out and said.
“Okay. Here it comes again. It’s super cool.”
Isn’t this the kind of thing you do one more time to cool down and then finish?
This time, I took off the aloe and put it on my arms.
I wanted my arms to be a little cooler.
After we all did the packs, the professor gave Seung-jun’s mom a pack.
Saying she worked hard.
They looked like a good couple.
“We’ll head back now.”
“Okay! Today was fun.”
“Yes, yes. Have a good night.”
Everyone was tired, so Seung-jun and Hana didn’t try to keep us.
They just waved and promised to play tomorrow.
“Hyung. Si-ha draw now.”
“Yeah. Okay. Aren’t you tired?”
“Si-ha draw little bit, sleep hyung.”
“Pfft. Okay.”
Si-ha took out his pad.
Unlike before, he draws with the pen without hesitation. He has a slight smile on his face, as if he’s having fun.
I peeked in.
It seemed like he was drawing the maze I saw from above.
He was drawing the square-shaped branches and leaves I saw from above as round grass.
I guess he liked that.
I kept watching Si-ha draw next to him.
***
It was a one-night, two-day trip, but it felt like we played enough in the valley.
It wasn’t a tight schedule.
We just went to play.
The time preparing was good, and it was surprisingly fun playing with the kids.
However, like everyone else, my body is strangely tired after going on vacation. I’m dead.
But I have to do what I have to do.
I’m also thinking of editing Si-ha’s drawing. Just a little bit.
I say editing, but it’s just cutting and pasting frames.
And adding subtitles.
It’s not difficult, but it seems to require a lot of manual labor.
There are many times when I lose my mind while doing it.
‘Let’s upload it now.’
I uploaded the video.
The title was ‘Maze.’ Round bushes are drawn on white paper.
It gets bigger and bigger. It goes straight along a certain path and then turns.
It turns and turns like that.
Surprisingly, it’s all connected.
Because it’s drawn zoomed in, only fragmentary pictures come out.
I cut out the scenes where I see the whole paper from here.
I was going to make the viewers wonder what they were drawing.
[Hello, everyone. This is Si-ha Pepe.]
[You may have noticed from the title, but today I’m drawing a maze.]
[You can see everything even if it’s zoomed in, right?]
[In a way, it looks like I’m drawing a game map.]
[It reminds me of the old game Crazy Arcade [a popular online multiplayer game in Korea]. ㅎㅎ]
[I used to put water balloons there and destroy the bushes. Hehe.]
[That’s enough chatter, please take a good look at today’s drawing. ㅎㅎ]
The video speeds up.
This is the advantage. Viewers can see the drawing being completed quickly, so it progresses very quickly.
It’s just drawing, but it has an effect that you can’t take your eyes off of.
You can see it being completed little by little.
It gives you the feeling of just a little more. Just a little more.
[The maze is finally complete. Shall we take a look at the whole picture?]
The picture is gradually reduced.
And the overall appearance of the maze is revealed.
It was the shape of Pepe. Of course, the inside of the body was filled with a maze, but the outermost outline was Pepe.
Pepe in profile.
The tail was the entrance and the mouth was the exit.
And the picture wasn’t over yet.
[Shall we take a trip to the exit from now on?]
Blue begins to fill the path of the maze.
It was a scene where Si-ha was coloring.
I cut it off and edited it so that the water was gradually filling up.
[The water goes in without hesitation.]
The water is blocked. Because it wasn’t the exit.
[But sometimes it may be blocked and have to go back.]
[Maybe it will stagnate.]
[But the newly entering waters will eventually flow…….]
The waters are blocked several times, but eventually reach Pepe’s mouth.
The water coming out of the exit.
Pepe’s water cannon!
[At some point, you’ve reached the exit.]
[You may be blocked or go back while walking, but you can get out because there is a real exit.]
[You can’t stop the flow of water.]
[Even if you are trapped in a maze right now, won’t you be out of it someday if you walk?]
One part of the green leaves of the maze is repainted red.
Exactly near Pepe’s heart.
[I hope there will be at least a warm encounter on the way.]
[I hope that’s my picture.]
[That’s it for the video.]
[Thank you for watching as always.]
It comes out one more time as a whole, and Pepe zooms in on the place where he spits out water.
Two signs pop out there.
[Subscribe!], [Like!].
It was a sensible expression.
As time passed, comments began to be posted one by one.
-Wow, maze!
-But every time I watch the video, my heart warms up.
-It seems like they choose the bgm [background music] on purpose, lol.
-The drawing style is so cute. Hehe.
-I followed the maze with my eyes to find the exit together, but I really didn’t expect the water to fill up, lol.
-I didn’t even expect the place where the water was filling up to go wrong and get blocked, lol.
Everyone was having fun.
Some people were admiring it.
-Wow, but how did you think of filling the maze with water?
-I think they started filling the water on purpose to say that, lol.
That’s just an idea Si-ha came up with after going to the valley and seeing the water hitting the rocks.
In other words, it’s combined with the maze.
I went with him and saw how Si-ha thought of this, so I know everything.
Si-ha melts his experiences into his paintings.
Of course, I gave meaning to it in writing.
‘Huh? An interpreter’s comment has been posted.’
Strangely, I feel sad if this comment is not there now.
I don’t know what kind of person he is.
[It’s Si-ha Pepe after all.
He drew a red forest near the heart. He must be hoping that the water will be as warm as blood.
As everyone knows, if that happens, the water that is going will be warm.
He’s saying it’s a lucky encounter, but Si-ha Pepe is saying that everyone should go with warmth.
He was embarrassed, so he only said it once as a lucky encounter, but I was caught.
It’s hard if it’s too cold.
You can see Si-ha Pepe’s warmth here.
We always receive comfort from his work.
I hope he keeps uploading pictures.]
I was looking at the interpreter’s comment when I heard a ding-dong sound.
I thought a package had arrived, so I opened the door and saw Alisa.
“Huh? Alisa. Did you send me a message asking what I was doing earlier just to give me this?”
Alisa smiles brightly, shaking the coffee in her hand.
“Come in.”
“Yes.”
“But did you come to drink coffee with me?”
“No. I came to hear an explanation.”
“Yes?”
Alisa held up her phone and showed me SNS [social networking service]. It was a picture on Instagram. It was a picture of Baek Dong-hwan enjoying his vacation.
“Huh?”
“Why didn’t you invite me and only invited Dong-hwan? We all went on a trip together last year. I’m sad.”
Saying this reminds me that we went together last year.
Wait? Why am I making excuses?
“Did Si-ha go to daycare?”
“Yes. Please sit down. Just a moment.”
I took out a few cookies from the drawer.
I thought it would be good to eat with the coffee she brought.
“Anyway, I’m so sad. I like valleys too.”
“Ahahaha. Let’s go together next time. Next time.”
“Don’t do that, play with me too. Why do you only play with big, dark men?”
When I put down the cookies, Alisa quietly makes eye contact.
A slightly pouting expression, shiny hair.
I realized that I was finally seeing her face properly.
I smiled slightly and said.
“What shall we play? Pfft. Ah, Si-ha says this often. What are we going to play?”
Alisa takes a sip of her Americano and looks at me.
“When does work end?”
“Whenever I want? But I think I have to do everything I have to do today.”
“You were going to do it until Si-ha finishes daycare, right?”
“Um. Well, yeah. I can’t live that leisurely.”
Would answering like this be a rejection?
Alisa said nonchalantly.
“Then would you like to watch a movie with Si-ha tonight?”
“???”
“Summer vacation means movies!”
I took a sip of coffee at her consideration.
It goes up along the length of the straw. Energetically. It goes down again when you drink it all.
I said to Alisa.
“Then let’s meet at the movie theater.”
“Okay. Then.”
“But don’t buy anything and wait.”
“???”
She shook her coffee with a smile.
“This is so cool, I’m going to buy something else.”
