The Kaiman Kingdom’s Surrender
A voice boomed, shaking the ground. “You there! Kneel!”
*Thud!* The sound of hundreds of soldiers dropping to their knees echoed across the field. Ajax’s voice, filled with magic, had forced them down before they even understood what was happening.
One soldier, his face pale with terror, fell flat on his face before Ajax. “We… We greet the great White Dragon!” he stammered.
Like dominoes falling one after another, the rest of the soldiers quickly bowed their heads too. Dust swirled around the kneeling soldiers. The air, thick with the smell of fear and sweat, hung heavy over the trampled grass of the battlefield.
With the 300,000 Kaiman Kingdom soldiers subdued, Ajax smirked at Sejun.
“Heh heh. Did you see that? My skills were amazing, right?”
Sejun nodded briefly. “Yes, good. Shrink.”
He used his magic again, sealing Ajax’s powerful form away. *Ajax is making this harder than it needs to be,* Sejun thought, feeling the strain of controlling the dragon’s magic, even with his increased resistance.
Ajax, oblivious to Sejun’s effort, turned to Theo and Kkuengyi, puffing out his chest. “So, second-in-command is mine now, yes?”
Theo scoffed, flicking his tail. “Hmph! Don’t be so sure! *I*, Theo, would have easily won if I had used my best magic!”
Kkueng barked loudly. “[Kkuengyi is strongest! Second-in-command!]”
Seeing their childish squabble about to escalate, Sejun quickly changed the subject. “Guys, heal the hedgehogs.”
Theo perked up. “Hmph! Of course! The hedgehogs need *me*, Theo, with the best medicine!”
Theo called the hedgehogs that could move from Sejun’s lap and healed them with healing magic.
Kkueng barked. “[No! Kkuengyi’s massage is best! Kkuengyi heals them well!]”
Kkuengyi went around the hedgehogs and healed the ones who had difficulty moving with physical magic massages.
Ajax coughed. “Know that it’s an honour to be healed by me. Recovery!” He healed the hedgehogs with fatal wounds.
The three of them healed according to the hedgehog’s condition. Just a moment ago, they were growling at each other, but now their teamwork was surprisingly good.
Grumble. Grumble. The sound of the hedgehogs snoring together filled the chestnut farm. The smell of chestnuts filled the air, and the light filtered softly through the trees.
As the pain disappeared while receiving treatment, the fatigue of the past few days rushed in at once, and they fell asleep.
Meanwhile, Theo held a contract with Kkuengyi.
“Hmph! We have many slaves!” Theo said.
Kkueng barked. “[Stamping!]”
They began to receive stamps from the Kaiman Kingdom soldiers who were still prostrating themselves.
“Huh?” Theo muttered.
Theo silently held out his paw to one of the soldiers, his tail twitching with anticipation.
“Yes?! Why…” The soldier was flustered.
“Hmph! *I*, Theo, know everything you have! Give it to me quickly!” Theo smiled slyly at the soldier.
“Sigh…” The soldier took out a black bead from his chest with a resigned expression.
Theo snatched the bead from the soldier’s hand and ran excitedly to Sejun. *Chairman Park, I’m coming!*
“Hmph! Chairman Park, I got something good!” He handed the black bead to Sejun.
[Kaiman King’s Inner Core]
“Huh? What’s this?” It was the inner core that Croker had dropped when he died. When the inner core flew towards him, the soldier had secretly taken it.
Theo flopped down. *Now stroke my belly!*
Sejun silently stroked Theo’s belly and examined the inner core.
[Kaiman King’s Inner Core]
[The inner core that the Kaiman Kings have held for generations. The magic power of the previous kings has been continuously accumulated, and the inner core contains magic power that has been cultivated for approximately 2500 years. Upon consumption, you will acquire a total of 1000 bonus stats. (If a being with magic power lower than 2500 consumes it, the inner core will absorb all stats instead.) Upon consumption, the level increases by 5. Usage Restriction: Lv. 100 or higher, all stats 2500 or higher Grade: ★★★]
Sejun read the description of the core. *’1000 bonus stats… Level 5 increase… Wow,’* he thought. *’This is incredible. And three stars? That must be even stronger than SSS-grade!’
“Wow… there’s something after level 100…” Sejun realized that there was something after level 100 as he looked at the words ‘Level 100 or higher’ in the usage restriction.
“But this is amazing.” Sejun turned the smooth, black bead in his fingers, examining it closely.
The usage restriction conditions were incredibly high, but the bonus stats +1000 and level +5 effects upon consumption made it all understandable. Moreover, there were three stars, which meant it was stronger than even SSS-grade. It was an incredible item.
“Vice Chairman Theo, well done.” Sejun praised Theo, stroking Theo’s belly diligently.
“Hmph! That’s right! Work harder!” Theo enjoyed Sejun’s touch.
“That’s right! I picked this up earlier too!” Theo took out Fenrir’s core, which he had put in his bundle earlier.
[??’s Core Fragment]
“This is an unappraised item?”
Sejun grabbed the thumb-sized core fragment to send the item to Aileen.
[You have acquired a fragment of the door leading to the 10th Tower.]
A message appeared in front of Sejun.
A brown, fist-sized piece of wood separated from the core fragment.
Fenrir had eaten the door leading to the 10th Tower in the past.
“Huh?!”
*What? There was no door leading to the 10th Tower?!* Sejun looked at the brown bead in disbelief.
[Fragment of the Door Leading to the 10th Tower]
[One of the fragments of the door leading to the 10th Tower. Currently, the door is broken into 5 pieces, making it impossible to create a path to the 10th Tower. Usage Restriction: Those who have the key to the 10th Tower Grade: Cannot be measured]
*The door is broken into five pieces?*
“Then that means I have to find four more?” Thanks to that, it became quite troublesome for Sejun to go to the 10th Tower.
Just then, a loud squeak broke the quiet.
“Eek!”
“Hey! That’s mine! My core!” a voice yelled.
Fenrir, the black wolf who had been causing trouble for Sejun, suddenly sat up. He had been in a daze, but now his eyes were wide and fixed on something in Sejun’s hand. It was the core, glowing with a soft blue light. Fenrir lunged forward, acting like it belonged to him.
*Snatch!*
He snapped his jaws and bit down on the core in Sejun’s hand.
However,
“Blackie, no!”
“Gack!”
Theo struck Fenrir on the back of the neck, causing him to spit out the core.
Thud.
“Good job.”
Sejun caught the core that Fenrir spat out.
And then,
“Blackie, you wanted to eat this? Alright.”
Pop.
Sejun put a black bead into Fenrir’s mouth—royal jelly from the Poisonous Honeybee Queen, with both its effects and bitterness upgraded.
“Eek…”
Fenrir’s mind swam. *This is not the core! This is… horrible!* he thought before darkness took him.
Fenrir ate the black royal jelly and fainted from the intense bitterness. Maybe it was his punishment for being greedy.
Thud.
“Good night, Blackie.”
Sejun put the unconscious Fenrir in his pocket and said,
“Eileen, can you appraise this?”
He asked Eileen to appraise it.
[The Tower’s Administrator says to leave it to them.]
Thus, Fenrir’s core fragment ended up in Eileen’s hands.
The White Dragon’s Habitat.
Thud.
With a heavy thud that shook the snow, a giant green dragon, Brachio, landed in the White Dragon’s Habitat. Ice crystals crunched under her massive feet. She had come to see Kellion, the most amicable of the four Dragonkin.
“Brachio, what brings you here?”
Kellion asked, looking at Brachio.
“Kellion, I came to ask you something.”
“Ask me? About what?”
“Yes. The White Dragon, Black Dragon, Red Dragon, and Violet Dragon have been quite active lately. What’s the reason?”
“Huh?! What reason? We’re just trying to reduce the Power of Destruction a little.”
Kellion answered, subtly avoiding Brachio’s intense gaze.
“Is that really it?”
Brachio asked again.
“…Yes.”
Kellion answered, but he wouldn’t look Brachio in the eye. His tail twitched nervously, and he shifted his weight from one foot to the other.
“Then can you swear on your name?”
“No. You don’t just swear on your name whenever.”
“Then I’ll grant you two wishes in exchange for swearing on your name.”
“…No, thanks.”
“So… you are hiding something.”
“No, I’m not! Ahem. I think I should go to bed now.”
A clear dismissal.
“There’s definitely something…”
Brachio suspiciously watched Kellion’s retreating figure before heading to see Lamtor, her next closest friend.
“Hehe. President Park, all the stamps are done, meow!”
“Kooeng!”
[Daddy, all done!]
Theo, who had been playing on Sejun’s lap alone, was caught by Kkuengi and went back to stamp again. He returned with Kkuengi after stamping all the remaining documents.
The hedgehogs helped along the way, so it didn’t take too long.
While Theo and Kkuengi worked hard, Ajax was busy with his own task. Under Sejun’s orders, he was harvesting chestnuts…
“Good work. Godori, you can boss them around.”
Sejun entrusted the 300,000-strong Caiman Kingdom army to Godori.
“Caw-sit!”
[Thank you!]
“Caw-sit. Caw-sit.”
Godori and the hedgehogs were overwhelmed by Sejun’s words.
“But what about the Caiman Kingdom?”
As Sejun pondered the fate of the Caiman Kingdom on the 84th floor of the Tower, he imagined a land filled with swamps and strange creatures.
“Kyoo-oot! Huh?! Where am I?”
Iona, who had been sound asleep on Theo’s tail, stretched languidly as she woke up and asked.
She had only slept for a short while, but the surrounding environment had completely changed.
“Hehe. Iona, did you sleep well, meow? This is the 83rd floor of the Tower…”
As Theo explained to Iona why they had come here,
“Kyoo-kyoo-kyoo- Those bad guys! If I hadn’t been asleep, I would have dropped a meteor on them. But the enemy has already surrendered…”
Iona said with a disappointed voice.
“Hehe. Iona, don’t be sad, meow! Bad guys will appear again, meow!”
“Kkyut kkyut kkyut. Yes!”
While the two were talking,
“Alright, let’s go back.”
Sejun prepared to return.
The damage on the 83rd floor of the Tower was significant, but with 300,000 sturdy slaves, it would be possible to recover quickly.
So, without even knowing it, Theo was going to the Caiman Kingdom on the 84th floor to collect war reparations, so there would be plenty of funds.
“Vice President Theo, have a good trip.”
“Meow?! Where am I going, meow?”
“Yes. Go to the 84th floor and get a lot of compensation.”
“Meow! I understand, meow! Leave it to me, meow!”
Theo initially wore a displeased expression but then answered confidently. Hehe. This is my specialty, meow!
“President Park, then I’ll be off, meow!”
“Kkyut kkyut kkyut! I’ll go with you too!”
“Okay. Have a good trip!”
With Sejun’s send-off, Theo, with Iona dangling from his tail, headed up to the 84th floor with a light step.
And then,
“Earth Dragon!”
Sejun called the Earth Dragon and headed to the waypoint.
A moment later,
[Moving to the 99th floor of the Black Tower.]
Sejun returned to the 99th floor of the Tower.
Black Tower Administrator Area.
[Fragment of the Core of Fenrir, the First Apostle of Destruction]
This is a fragment of the core of Fenrir, the First Apostle of Destruction.
It contains 0.01% of his total power.
If the Power of Destruction within is not removed, you will be consumed by it.
“Why is Fenrir’s core here?”
Eileen said, looking at the appraised core.
But such worries were brief,
“But Sejun won’t be able to use it in this state, will he?”
Sejun began to consider whether there was a way for him to use this core.
And then,
“Alright! Let’s try to remove the Power of Destruction inside first!”
He began to inject magic power into the core fragment to remove the Power of Destruction.
As he removed some of the Power of Destruction from the core,
Shimmer.
Tower Coins were soon piled up around the core. It was the same principle as dealing with the red mist.
“Huh?! These are Tower Coins?! Hehe. Sejun, wait a little! I’ll bring you a lot of money!”
Whoosh.
Eileen began to use her magic power in earnest to annihilate the Destruction within Fenrir’s core fragment,
Shimmer.
Tower Coins piled up in the Black Tower Administrator Area.
