The Black Dragon’s Lair.
“Ha ha!” Kaiser boomed. “Now, for the Extreme Brain Kiwi Wine!”
“Yes!” the other leaders cheered.
They eagerly poured the green kiwi wine into their glasses. Sejun had made many special drinks, each with different magical powers, and they were trying them all.
When everyone had a full glass, Kaiser raised his. “Drink up!”
He took a big gulp.
The kiwi wine tasted like sunshine and a spark of lightning. It went down smoothly, then *zinged* through him, making his skin tingle.
“Whoa!” Kaiser exclaimed, feeling energized. “That’s amazing!”
He felt happy and warm inside after the delicious wine.
He thought, *I miss my granddaughter.*
Wanting to feel even better, he looked around for Eileen, who was probably enjoying Sejun’s food.
But…
“Huh?”
Eileen was gone.
*Where did she go?*
“I’m going to get some fresh air,” Kaiser said and quickly got up to find Eileen.
*Is she in the administrator’s area?*
Kaiser headed there and found someone already looking for Eileen.
“Anton?” His son was standing there blankly.
“Keheeheehee… Sejun, I miss Mom…” Eileen was crying because she missed her mother.
Kaiser’s heart felt heavy as he watched Anton and Eileen. He wanted to help them both, but he didn’t know how. He just stood there, feeling helpless.
Kaiser left only after seeing his granddaughter smile as she ate Sejun’s food.
“Hoo.” Anton, too, sighed with relief, longing, and guilt, and quietly disappeared.
Kaiser sighed, thinking about Eileen’s mother, who was far away and in danger. Meanwhile, on the 99th floor of the Black Tower…
“We need to save Eileen’s mother! She is trapped on Omid, and we are going to bring her back!” Sejun announced. “From today, we are forming a rescue team.”
“Puhuhoot! Goodnya! Since the great Hybrid Park is the chairman of the rescue team, I, Hybrid Theo Park, am the vice-chairman of the rescue teamnya!” Theo immediately expressed his desire to help.
Kkueng?
[What is mother-in-law?]
Kkuengi tilted his head, confused by the unfamiliar word.
Kking! Kking!
[Butler! I’m awake now! Let’s play again!] Having woken up from a good nap, Kamangi wagged his tail, asking to play.
“Kkueng, mother-in-law is…” Sejun started to explain. “It’s Eileen’s mother.”
He hesitated, realizing the family tree was too complicated to explain simply.
“Vice-Chairman Theo, let’s find my mother-in-law starting now! Search!” He grabbed Theo’s waist, lifted him high, and shouted.
“Puhuhoo. I understandnya! Nya…” Theo stretched out his two front paws and focused.
“The pull is too weaknya!” He felt a slight pull, but it wasn’t strong enough.
But Theo was determined. “Puhuhoot. I, Vice-Chairman Hybrid Theo, who receives help from Chairman Park, am invincible nya!”
There were no limits to his devotion to Sejun.
“Nya! I feel a pullnya!” Theo succeeded in his search.
“Oh! Really?!”
“Puhuhoot. That’s rightnya! There is nothing I, Vice-Chairman Theo, cannot do with Chairman Parknya!” Theo put his two front paws on his waist and puffed out his chest.
“Where is it?”
“It’s under our feetnya!”
“Under our feet?”
“Puhuhoot. Just trust me and follow me nya! We’re going that waynya!”
“Okay!” Sejun walked towards the place Theo was pointing.
“Is it here?”
“Puhuhoot. That’s rightnya! We just need to go under the pondnya!” Theo said, pointing to the pond in the cave.
“Really? Then let’s go right away!” Sejun and his party entered the cold, dark pond.
Wearing the air bubble helmets that Theo had created with his water-attribute talent, they swam down to the bottom. Bubbles floated around them like silver beads, and strange plants swayed in the dim light.
“Puhuhoot. It’s herenya!” Theo pointed to a passage at the bottom of the pond.
A path leading to the Sea of Dimensions.
“Oh! Is she there if we go out that way?!”
“Puhuhoot. That’s rightnya! I feel the pull from that waynya!”
As Sejun headed towards the passage, the Orb of Deceit flashed a scary warning in red letters: [The Orb of Deceit warns of impending death.]
The path ahead led to death.
It was obvious. The dimensional pressure of the Sea of Dimensions was too strong. Sejun would not be able to withstand it and would disappear. Even if he could, he would be swept away by the strong dimensional currents and drift aimlessly.
That’s why even the great dragons didn’t recklessly enter the Sea of Dimensions. They could only drift and die if they were swept away.
Blazing was able to wander through the Sea of Dimensions only because it had deeply rooted itself, entrusting its roots to the flow of the currents.
Sejun stopped, seeing the warning.
“Nya?! Chairman Park, no waynya!”
Kkueng!
[Dad, it’s dangerous!]
Kking!
[Butler! Don’t go there!]
“Sejun, don’t go!”
Kkiluk!
Shararang!
The group’s sunfish danger sensors were activated, and they grabbed Sejun’s arms and legs, trying to stop him.
Living with a sunfish for three months meant you would develop a sunfish danger sensor whether you wanted to or not.
Sejun and his party realized that danger was lurking.
“Everyone, if you have any good ideas, tell me,” Sejun said.
They returned to the surface and started a strategy meeting. They hadn’t told Eileen yet because they weren’t sure if Theo had found Omid. They didn’t want her to be disappointed.
“Nya! Great Hybrid Park, I have a good ideanya!” Theo raised his front paw.
“Oh. What is it?”
“Chairman Park needs to eat a lot of foodnya!”
“Huh? What does that mean?”
“If you eat a lot and become strong, it will worknya!”
“Hmm…”
Eating a meal would trigger the Rice is a Tonic effect, increasing his total stats by 150 each time he ate a bowl.
If he became stronger, the warning from before might disappear.
*That makes sense?*
“Then let’s eat first,” Sejun decided.
“Puhuhoot.”
Kkuhehehe.
Kkihihit.
The group was delighted. They were hungry because it was dinner time.
Sejun quickly cooked rice with the Stone Pot of Firmness and prepared dinner by grilling fish.
A little later, Sejun, who had waited until Theo and Kkuengi had finished eating, said in a determined voice, “Guys, I’m going to eat now.”
When his stats increased, the potential-filled stamina and magic stats would be restored.
Then his fighting spirit would strengthen, and the muscle pain from the Muscle Strengthening Technique would intensify, so their massage was essential.
Today, I’m going to eat so much that even their massages might not be enough to soothe my aching muscles.
The Blackie family fell asleep as soon as they finished dinner.
Sejun was now interested in Omid. He started to deal with Omid’s growing power.
The Great Dragons praise your food.
Your soul is greatly filled by the praise of many high-ranking beings.
Your mental strength increases by 100.
“Oh. My mental strength is rising quickly. Heh heh heh.”
He was absorbing 90% of the mental strength pouring into Sejun from the dragons’ praise to prevent him from being overloaded.
“Eating, sleeping, playing… they have it so good.”
To Sejun, the Blackie family just seemed carefree.
Despite his rough tone, Sejun carefully picked up the Blackie family, placed them gently in his sling bag, and picked up his spoon.
The menu was soy sauce butter egg rice.
Because he could eat a lot of it without getting tired of it.
“Haaah.”
As Sejun began to eat,
“Trust me, the great Hybrid Chairman Park! Nyaang!”
[Don’t worry, Daddy! Kkueng will make sure Daddy doesn’t hurt!]
Theo and Kkueng carefully massaged Sejun.
When Sejun had eaten about five bowls of rice,
[You have eaten 100,000 grains of rice.]
[The rice has a medicinal effect.]
[A total of 150 stats – Strength, Constitution, Agility, and Magic Power – will randomly increase.]
[Strength +20, Constitution +70, Agility +50, Magic Power +10.]
[Agility, Constitution, and Magic Power stats have reached their limits.]
The messages appeared. Before he knew it, his Agility stat was also filled to its potential.
And then,
Throb.
“Ugh.”
The muscle pain intensified, reaching a limit that even Theo and Kkueng’s massages couldn’t lessen.
“Nyaang?! Chairman Park, are you okay?!”
[Daddy, are you okay?!]
“Yeah. I’m fine.”
Sejun calmed them down and started eating again.
Mother-in-law, please wait a little longer. Your son-in-law is coming to save you!
It was too dramatic for just eating rice, but Sejun was really in a lot of pain.
The fighting spirit continued to tear his muscles apart, and that spirit grew stronger the more Sejun ate.
After eating about eight bowls of rice,
Gulp.
“Ugh.”
Each time he swallowed, it activated his neck muscles, making it painful to eat. His jaw muscles and facial muscles also ached with every chew.
“Haaah.”
Still, Sejun didn’t give up and kept eating.
And then, he burned out completely…
After eating ten bowls of rice, returning 800 out of 1500 total stats, he fainted from the unbearable muscle pain.
Theo and Kkueng took the unconscious Sejun to the bed and continued to massage him, and fell fast asleep.
Batbat woke up and greeted Sejun and his companions, who were sleeping soundly from exhaustion, with a refreshing good night.
Of course, everyone was asleep, so there was no reply.
Batbat went to the kitchen and, sipping the juice from the fruit Sejun had prepared, he pondered how to find the Omid that Sejun had requested.
Just then,
-Batbat!
(Huh?! Sister Fire?)
Fire called Batbat in a very quiet voice. It was a small voice, almost inaudible, but Batbat heard it clearly.
-Yes, it’s me. Come over here.
(Batbat? Over here?)
-Yes. Open a portal following my energy.
(Batbat! Yes!)
After finishing his meal,
(Batbat!)
Batbat quickly flew towards the coordinates that Fire had given him.
Before he knew it, Batbat had arrived in another world.
Where is this?
Batbat hastily looked around.
“We must stop the enemy!”
“We must buy time!”
“Slaughter those who follow the dragon!”
“Now is the chance to kill the dragon!”
What Batbat saw and heard was the desperate determination of soldiers defending a massive fortress and soldiers trying to capture it, locked in fierce combat.
Batbat was in the middle of the battle, but his stealth skills were so outstanding that no one noticed him.
Why are they fighting?
Batbat watched the battle between the two sides and asked Fire,
(Batbat. Sister Fire, but where is this?)
-It’s the Omid that Sejun is looking for.
(Batbat?! Really?!)
-Yes. What’s the situation there?
Fire, unable to see inside because the world was closed off, asked.
She could force her way in if she wanted to, but that could shock the world, so she didn’t. In severe cases, the world could collapse.
(I don’t know. But they’re fighting.)
-Fighting?
(Batbat. Yes! What should I do?)
-Then, first go back and…
As Batbat discussed countermeasures with Fire,
“There’s a rat.”
A one-eyed giant, nearly as tall as the fortress wall, swung his iron club towards where Batbat was.
The eye of the one-eyed giant, Moklops, had the ability to find even the most excellent stealth.
The area around Batbat was devastated by the impact of the iron club.
(Batbat! Why are you attacking me?!)
Meanwhile, the enraged Batbat was flying towards Moklops.
And then,
(Bat Spin!)
He spun his body rapidly using his new technique that Sejun had named for him, and body-checked him.
A huge hole appeared in Moklops’ upper body, and the one-eyed giant slumped to the ground.
The soldiers of both sides, confused by the sudden appearance of a powerful being, stopped fighting.
It was the amazing first appearance of Batbat’s new skill, Bat Spin.
And then,
“Mother-in-law… your son-in-law will… be there soon…”
Sejun was sound asleep, unaware that Batbat had found Omid.
