Black Tower, 55th floor.
Beeeep!
Squeak! Squeak!
Peep! Peep!
Beeep!
The rabbits who went to see Sejun came back very early. Their parents were worried.
“Why are they back so soon?” one parent asked.
“Did something bad happen?” said the other.
However,
“Huh?! Is that a dragon tattoo?!”
The parent rabbits saw the dragon tattoos on their babies’ paws.
“They met Sejun-nim.”
“That’s why they came back early.”
The parent rabbits were relieved.
Only Sejun, Theo, and Kkuengyi had dragon scales to give dragon tattoos.
Theo and Kkuengyi were almost always with Sejun.
So, if they had a dragon tattoo, it was very likely they had met Sejun.
When the baby rabbits met their parents, they started talking about Sejun and Theo as if they were the only ones who knew them.
“Papa, I met Sejun-nim!”
“Mama, Sejun-nim doesn’t have horns! Why not?”
“Sejun-nim has two arms!”
“Uncle Theo is nice! I’m not scared anymore!”
“I miss the times when I played with Sejun-nim.”
“Theo-nim took care of me sometimes.”
The parent rabbits remembered their own childhoods as they listened to their babies’ stories. They had similar memories.
The baby rabbits and parent rabbits smiled, remembering the times they had with Sejun.
The baby rabbits and parent rabbits were all smiling happily.
“Wolha, I’m here.”
“Wolgang, you’re here?”
Wolgang and Wolha blushed when they said each other’s names.
It felt a little awkward and exciting to say their new names.
“But Wolgang, did Sejun-nim give us our names? I was surprised when he suddenly gave us names.”
“Yeah. I argued with Sejun-nim. I said, ‘How could you not give us names?!'”
“Really?!”
“Yeah.”
Wolgang liked to exaggerate. He was telling lies a lot lately.
“Wolgang, you’re so cool!”
“Ahem. It’s nothing to make a fuss about…”
Because of that, he was seen as more important as the head of the household.
“Then, should we go to our room and talk?”
But it seemed like he had made himself sound too important.
“Huh?! Just here…”
“Follow me!”
“Ah. Okay! I’ll go, so let go of my ear!”
Wolha was holding Wolgang’s ear and dragging him away.
Meanwhile, far above them on the 89th floor…
“Ugh. It’s hot.”
Sejun opened his eyes. Sweat dripped down his forehead, and his clothes felt sticky and uncomfortable. He could smell the smoke from the bonfire, even through the ice walls of the igloo.
He had slept surrounded by ice on the ice lake, but Iona had used magic to keep the bonfire burning all night.
Sleeping with the fluffballs Theo, Kkuengyi, and Blackie made him sweat because it was too hot.
At that moment,
[Hehet. Sejun-nim, are you awake?]
A cool breeze blew gently towards Sejun’s face with Firestone’s voice.
“Ah. I feel a bit better now. Thanks, Firestone.”
Sejun put Firestone, who was fanning him with his leaves, on his palm and stroked him with his hand. Then, he gathered his companions and went outside.
“Wow. It’s cool.”
The sweat cooled down quickly in the cold air, and soon the sweat began to freeze.
“Ugh. It’s cold.”
Sejun hurried into the igloo, shook off the frozen sweat, and warmed himself by the fire. Then, he prepared breakfast.
“You have to eat something warm in a place like this.”
He made spicy piranha porridge with the piranhas he had caught yesterday and added dumplings.
Eating the cold-resistant piranhas would help them resist the cold.
A short while later,
“Eileen, eat this.”
Sejun sent the piranha porridge to Eileen in a huge pot.
And then,
“Guys, eat up.”
He scooped the piranha porridge into bowls and gave it to Kkuengyi and the Blackie family.
He gave grilled fish and roasted peanuts to Theo and Iona, who had very specific tastes. They seemed like a good match.
“Now, I should eat too.”
Sejun took care of everyone, then took a large spoonful of piranha porridge.
“Hoo. Hoo.”
He cooled it down with his breath and put it in his mouth.
Gulp.
The spicy piranha porridge went down his throat.
“Krooooh. That’s the stuff.”
He sighed with happiness as his insides felt warm.
After warming himself with the hot piranha porridge,
“Fireball.”
He broke the ice on the lake with Iona’s magic.
“Alright. Let the 2nd Ice Fishing Competition begin!”
He started the ice fishing competition again today.
“Ah. I’ll add a new rule today. If you catch a giant piranha, it will count as catching 5,000 regular piranhas. If you catch a super giant piranha, it will count as catching 15,000 regular piranhas.”
Sejun added a new rule for fun because Theo and Kkuengyi had been winning too much yesterday.
It was just a fun rule, but some people would always try their best even in fun activities.
Hee hee hee. Squeak! Squeak!
[Hehet. Blackie-nim has a great idea! Eat-Root-Arm, you will be the bait and catch the super giant piranha!]
“Boo?! Boo?!”
[Me?!]
Eat-Root-Arm took a step back.
However,
Squeak!
[Guys, tie him up!]
The youngest had no choice.
Squeak!
[Eat-Root-Arm, fighting!]
“Boo!!!”
So, Eat-Root-Arm was thrown into the cold ice lake instead of slime meat, with Blackie’s support.
Splash.
As soon as he entered the water, the piranhas smelled Eat-Root-Arm and rushed towards him.
“Boo!”
[You guys! How dare you attack Eat-Root-Arm-nim, who swallows the sea?! I won’t forgive you!]
Slap. Slap.
Eat-Root-Arm kicked the piranhas away easily with his legs. His stats had increased by 888 after Sejun gave him a name.
While kicking away the piranhas,
‘Ink Root Shadow Clone!’
Booooooo!
Eat-Root-Arm spat out ink and used his power.
The ink took the same shape as Eat-Root-Arm and spread out in all directions.
He wanted to find and catch the super giant piranha.
The ink clones were not as strong as Eat-Root-Arm. They only had 20% of his power.
Slap.
But they were strong enough to move around and kick away the piranhas.
While Eat-Root-Arm and his clones were searching for the super giant piranha,
[Hehet. Sejun-nim, it bit!]
“Alright! Ha-oop! This one’s a big one!”
“Puhuhu. I caught one, nyaa!”
Kkueng!
[Kkuengyi caught another one!]
Everyone except the Blackie family was busy fishing for piranhas.
And then,
“Kyu-kyu-kyu- why aren’t they biting my bait?!”
Iona was in a place with more fish than water, but she was rarely catching any piranhas.
Hehehe. The world is fair after all.
Sejun smiled as he watched Iona.
Wham!
Water shot up from the hole in the ice lake like a fountain. The piranhas flew into the sky with the water and then began to fall back down.
And then,
“Magic, move as I command. Invisibility Hand.”
Iona caught the falling piranhas and water.
“Kkyut kkyut kkyut. I’m in first place now!”
She smiled happily.
“Hey, hey! Iona! That’s a little bit cheating! The rules are, you have to use a fishing rod, remember?”
“Kkyut?!”
Sejun was telling Iona the rules of the ice fishing competition when
SPLASH! The icy water churned as Meokbbu-pal swam for his life. A giant shadow loomed behind him – the colossal piranha.
Just a moment earlier, Meokbbu-pal had been proud of his plan. “Found it!” his clone had shouted. The clone had found the giant piranha and led it right to Meokbbu-pal. Perfect! But then, Meokbbu-pal saw them – not just the giant piranha, but hundreds of its huge, sharp-toothed friends! “Wait,” Meokbbu-pal thought, his eyes widening. “To catch that thing… do I have to let it eat me?” He didn’t like that idea at all!
“No way!” Meokbbu-pal yelled in his mind. He kicked his little legs as fast as he could, swimming away. The giant piranha, and a huge crowd of its even bigger friends, chased right after him. They were angry! Meokbbu-pal made clones to try and trick them, but the giant piranha only wanted him. The water exploded around them as they raced through the icy lake. Meokbbu-pal was running for his life! But he knew, deep down, he wasn’t fast enough.
SNAP! There was no escape. In a flash, the giant piranha opened its massive jaws and swallowed Meokbbu-pal in one gulp. Poor Meokbbu-pal! He was gone. He was just too small and weak to fight such a monster.
Hee hee hee! Squeak! Squeak! On the ice above, the Blackie Family cheered. They were holding fishing rods, and the lines were pulled tight. ‘[Hee hee! Got him! Pull, everyone!]’ Blackie squeaked happily.
But then… Squeak?! The fishing rod bent over double! The giant piranha was much stronger than they thought. Squeak! ‘[Butler!]’ Blackie cried as he slid across the ice, pulled by the fishing rod. Sliiiiiide… Sejun quickly jumped to grab Blackie, but… Huh?! Sliiiiiide… He was pulled along too! Squeak?! ‘[Why are you coming with me, Butler?!]’ Blackie squeaked, surprised and a little annoyed. ‘Sorry,’ Sejun said, his feet slipping on the ice. ‘I guess… I’m not very strong. I’m just a sunfish, after all.’ He finally admitted the truth.
Sejun and Blackie were sliding closer and closer to the icy water… Koo-ehng! Suddenly, Kkoengee used his magic! He lifted Sejun and Blackie into the air with his mind power. Thud! They landed back on the ice, safe! But… they also brought something else with them – the giant piranha, still hooked on the fishing line! SNAP! The line broke with a loud crack. It was too weak to hold such a big fish. ‘Huh?!’ Sejun gasped. Squeak! ‘[Bbu-pal!]’ Blackie cried, remembering their friend. They had saved themselves, but they had lost Meokbbu-pal! And so, the Meokbbu-pal rescue mission began.
This wasn’t going to be a fancy rescue, but they had to try. The ice fishing competition stopped for now. ‘Let’s go!’ Sejun said, determined. ‘Heh heh heh. Food rescue mission, understood, meow!’ Theo purred, already thinking about eating piranha. ‘[Hurry and save Bbu-pal!]’ Blackie urged. Koo-ehng! Squeak! ‘Kkyut kkyut kkyut.’ Together, they stepped into the clear bubble that Theo made to keep the water out, and started searching the lake. ‘Wow,’ Sejun said, looking around. The bottom of the lake was empty and bare. It was like the piranhas had eaten everything! Not even a tiny plant was left.
They searched the cold, dark lake for almost an hour. Then, suddenly, THUD! The giant piranha and its hungry friends saw them! They swam quickly towards Sejun and his group, their mouths wide open, showing rows of sharp teeth. ‘Huh?! There’s Bbu-pal!’ Sejun pointed. And there he was! Meokbbu-pal was holding on tight to the inside of the giant piranha’s mouth, near its teeth, but he looked okay! Squeak! ‘[Bbu-pal! You came to save me!]’ he cried happily. Squeak! Squeak! Squeak! ‘[Of course! We’re family! Kkomi, web!]’ Blackie replied. ‘Chirp!’ Kkomi chirped and shot a sticky web towards Bbu-pal. Shoo-roo-look. The web wrapped around Bbu-pal, holding him tight.
Squeak! ‘[Pull!]’ Blackie ordered. Everyone pulled together, and they carefully brought Meokbbu-pal into Theo’s safe bubble. Koo-ehng! Koo-ehng! ‘[You touched our Bbu-pal! We’ll teach you a lesson!]’ Kkoengee roared, angry that the piranhas had hurt their friend. Bzzzzzt! Kkoengee raised his Thunder Staff high, and bolts of lightning shot out, hitting the giant piranha and all its friends around it. [Intermediate Herbalist Park Kkoengee has defeated the Ice Lake Dominator, Colossal Piranha!] A message appeared in front of Kkoengee. [Intermediate Herbalist Park Kkoengee has acquired 50% of the experience, totaling 50 million.] Another message popped up. [Intermediate Herbalist Park Kkoengee has defeated the Ice Giant Piranha!] And more messages followed…
The piranhas were gone! The Meokbbu-pal rescue was a success! [The piranha population has been reduced, and the Ice Lake’s ecosystem has begun to recover!] Another message appeared. [Quest Completed!] And then another! [You have been recognized as the rightful owner of the Black Tower 89th Floor Ice Lake Land Document!] The ice fishing competition was over, even though it didn’t really finish properly. But no one seemed to mind. ‘Heh heh heh. We get to eat all the giant grilled fish now, meow!’ Theo purred happily. ‘Kkyut kkyut kkyut. Well done, Theo,’ Iona said politely. ‘[Hehet. That was exciting, Sejun!]’ Kkoengee cheered. Koo-heh heh heh. Koo-ehng! ‘[Heh heh heh. Lots of food!]’ Hee hee hee! Squeak! ‘[Hee hee! The Blackie Family did great this time!]’ Everyone was happy. But…
‘Now,’ Sejun said, smiling. ‘Let’s make sleds and have some fun!’ He quickly made sleds from wooden boards and sticks to push them, using the hard shells of fire ants for some parts. ‘Alright, everyone, get behind your sleds!’ Sejun called out. They all lined up. ‘Go!’ Sejun shouted. ‘Meow!’ ‘Koo-ehng!’ ‘Kkyut! Wind!’ In a flash, Theo, Kkoengee, and Iona zoomed across the ice to the other side! They were so fast! Whack! Whack! ‘[Sejun, hurry! Blackie is going to beat you!]’ Kkoengee shouted, laughing. ‘Okay! Huff! Huff!’ Sejun pushed as hard as he could, but he was still slow. It was another race to see who would be last – Sejun or the Blackie Family! Poo-woo! Meokbbu-pal was pushing with all his might, using his clones to help. It looked like he had hundreds of tiny sticks pushing the ice! Slowly but surely, they were catching up to Sejun. A few moments later… ‘Huff. Huff. I made it!’ Sejun gasped, just reaching the other side of the lake before the Blackie Family.
‘Heh heh heh,’ Theo chuckled, pawing at Sejun’s face. ‘My amazing nose smells something interesting about ten kilometers that way, meow!’ Theo pointed south with his paw. ‘Kkyut?!’ Iona gasped, looking in the same direction. ‘If it’s ten kilometers that way… that’s where Amur Lengji, the second apostle of the Creator God, was!’ ‘Heh heh heh. Really?’ Theo purred, his eyes gleaming. ‘If a powerful apostle was there, there must be something amazing!’ Sejun thought, a smile spreading across his face. A new adventure was starting! Squeak… ‘[I lost to Butler… ]’ Blackie mumbled sadly behind them, still upset about losing the sled race. He didn’t even notice that they were talking about a Creator God or apostles.
