Damn. I’m jealous.
Sejun watched, a strange feeling growing in his chest.
Black Tower, 75th floor.
“Vice Chairman Te, here it is,” Mason said. He gave Teo a lot of money, 30 trillion Topcoins. Mason had only been able to buy 30 million invitations. The Wandering Merchant Association didn’t have much money right now.
Because Mason didn’t have many people helping him, it was decided that only Pink Fur would give support. Sejun and Umawang would not help this time.
“Puhu-hut,” Teo chuckled, taking the money. “Mr. Mason, if you want Chairman Park to help you, you need to do better… Nya?!” Suddenly, Teo stopped talking and looked around.
“Chairman Park is getting closer!” Teo exclaimed. “Nya! And he’s not above us, he’s below! Nya!” Teo could sense Chairman Park’s location, almost like he had a special sense for it.
“Puhu-hut. It looks like Chairman Park went straight to Wolbok to sell invitations, Nya!” Teo said. He was sure Sejun was on the 55th floor. Teo had a funny way of knowing where Sejun was – he called it his ‘Sejun-knee detector’.
“Then we’ll go to the Mercenary place first, and then to the Lizard Kingdom on floor 70, Nya!” Teo said.
“Kkyut kkyut kkyut. Yes,” Mason agreed.
Teo and his group left the Merchant place and went to the Mercenary place.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Teo knocked on the door of the Mercenary chairman’s office.
But, “Nya?! Mr. Hannibal, why aren’t you here, Nya?!” The room was empty.
Hannibal had heard that Teo had tricked Mason out of money. So, Hannibal quickly took any job he could find and left.
“Kkyut? Mr. Teo,” Iona said. “It looks like Mr. Hannibal went to floor 71 for a job. Since we are going that way, we can visit him.” Iona looked at the papers on Hannibal’s desk and found out where he went.
“Puhu-hut. Good, Nya! Let’s go quickly then, Nya!” And so, Teo and his group started going down the tower.
Soon after, “Nya?! It’s Mr. Hannibal, Nya!” Teo shouted.
“Huh?!” Hannibal looked surprised.
They found him relaxing with his friends in the merchant passage, a busy hallway full of shops. Hannibal thought he had gotten away.
“Puhu-hut. Mr. Hannibal,” Teo began, his voice smooth. “Buy invitations to Chairman Park’s amazing birthday party, Nya! Just for you, Mr. Hannibal, we’ll start at only 100,000, Nya!” Teo started his sales talk.
Poor Bbozzi, Sejun thought. He watched Bbozzi desperately holding onto the fur on Lara’s father’s leg. Bbozzi had tried to attack his future father-in-law! Sejun thought, this is a disaster for the wedding.
Sejun thought he should buy Bbozzi a drink later, to make him feel better. Maybe even introduce him to someone new… Just as he was thinking this, a sound came: Beep.
[Father, please stop now.] Lara said firmly, stepping between her father and Bbozzi.
Beep! Beep?! Beep! [What do you mean stop?! Lara, did you see?! This creature tried to kill me!] Raulo was still very angry and shouted. But Lara just replied calmly: Beep. Beep. [You didn’t die, did you? Then it’s okay.]
Beep?! Beep?! [What do you mean ‘okay’?! Is that how you talk to your father who almost died?!] Raulo was still fuming.
Beep? Beep. [Father, if you don’t calm down, I might have to tell Mother about your secret stash of money. I think I know where it is.] Lara replied, sounding innocent.
Beep. [Okay, I forgive you for what you did.] Raulo suddenly became calm when he heard about the secret money.
But then, Kkyuk! Kkyuk! [Father-in-law, thank you! I will be good to Lara forever!] Bbozzi cried out happily.
Beep?! Beep! [Wait! When did I say you could marry her?! I just said I forgive you for trying to attack me!]
Beep. Beep. Beep. [Se.cret.mon.ey.] Lara repeated slowly.
Beep! Beep! Beep! [No! Don’t tell your mother! Please, please take good care of my daughter!] Raulo’s anger disappeared completely. He was now very worried about his secret money.
Sejun didn’t know how much money Raulo had hidden, but it was clearly the most important thing in the world to him. And just like that, in a few short moments, Bbozzi and Lara were getting married.
“Uh…” Sejun was surprised. Bbozzi was getting married before him?! He couldn’t believe how fast it had happened. It was like a firework suddenly exploding.
First, Sejun realized he wasn’t as good at understanding love as he thought. Second, a wedding had been decided in the middle of an argument! And third… No! Bbozzi, who had been single for 300 years, was leaving the single life! Sejun was amazed that Bbozzi was getting married without even dating properly. It was all happening too fast! He told himself he shouldn’t be jealous, but… “Damn. I’m jealous.” Sejun couldn’t hide his jealousy. His face looked unhappy.
Kkueng! Kkueng! [Daddy’s face is so sad! Make your face happy!] Kkuengi cried.
Kki-hit. Kking! Kking! [Hee hee. Butler, your face is funny! Let’s play on it!] Kkamangi giggled.
Kkuengi and Kkamangi jumped onto Sejun’s face and started stepping on it playfully. Sejun was surprised by this and his sad mood disappeared.
“Let’s eat first,” Sejun said, deciding to forget his jealousy for now.
Bbyak! Bbyak! [Food time! Uncle, come with me!] Heukwolbok chirped, leading the way to the restaurant. Sejun and the others followed.
“Ahem,” Wolgang cleared his throat. “It’s true, really! Have you all been tricked your whole lives? I taught Chairman Park – you know, from Sejun’s farm company – how to farm! I was the first person to ever help him!”
“Grandpa, you’re lying again!” one baby rabbit squeaked.
“Grandpa is telling stories again!” another said.
“You said you could eat 100 carrots, but you couldn’t!” a third one pointed out.
“And Uncle Teo isn’t really coming if we don’t listen, is he?!” another asked.
“We know you’re lying!” they all shouted. Wolgang was being ignored by the baby rabbits again.
Wolgang often lied because he liked to tease the baby rabbits. But now, his lies had caused trouble for him. The baby rabbits didn’t believe anything he said anymore. He was like a shepherd who cried wolf too many times.
The baby rabbits who remembered Sejun were gone now. So, no one could prove Wolgang was telling the truth. Well, there was one person, but… “Honey…” Wolgang called to Wolha.
“Hmph!” Wolha just turned away. She wasn’t helping him. It was because Wolgang hadn’t said she was also a first helper of Sejun. Even though they were married, she didn’t like being second best.
Just then, Srrr. A black rabbit suddenly appeared in front of Wolgang. “Mr. Wolgang,” the black rabbit said. “Mr. Sejun has arrived at White Castle.” This black rabbit was part of the security team that protected Wolgang and Wolha. He also brought news from the royal family.
“What?! Mr. Sejun is here?!” Wolgang was so happy to hear that Sejun had arrived. He felt brave again. “You wait!” he shouted at the baby rabbits. “Mr. Sejun is coming! He’ll ‘Roar!’ and catch all the bad rabbits!” But the baby rabbits just giggled.
“Hehet. We don’t believe you, Grandpa!” one said.
“Ebebe,” another one mocked. The baby rabbits just didn’t trust him anymore.
Wolgang hoped Mr. Sejun would come quickly and ‘Roar!’ He thought everything would be okay again once Sejun arrived. “Okay,” Wolgang said, trying to sound cheerful. “Let’s plant carrots now.” But the baby rabbits just shouted back, “Liar!”
“I don’t believe you!”
“Ahem. This time it’s real.”
“Yokki won’t be fooled!”
“Yokki, I’m telling you, it’s real! Look here! Grandpa’s planting carrots!”
He began a difficult lesson for the baby rabbits who didn’t believe him.
The White Castle’s dining hall was bustling with activity.
A soft, muffled sound, “Kkyuk…” came from Lara’s arms.
“[Ms. Lara…]”
Pochhi, looking as though he might burst with happiness, wouldn’t leave Lara’s arms. He thought that now that they were practically married, there wouldn’t be a problem.
“Ahem. Master Pochhi, maintain your dignity. King Huk Wolbok of the Red Ribbon is here; this is blasphemous,” Sejun said, trying to maintain order.
Beep! Beep!
[The great Hybrid Black Dragon speaks the truth! Po-son-in-law, maintain your grace.]
Sejun and Raulo, clearly displeased, glared with fire in their eyes, interfering.
“Lara’s father, we understand each other well,” Sejun said, offering his fist to Raulo.
Beep.
[Great Hybrid Black Dragon, I am honored.]
Raulo, looking reverent, carefully bumped his fluffy white paw against Sejun’s fist.
As they chatted, the food arrived, and the conversation continued throughout the meal.
“Master Po, so when are you getting married?”
Kkyuk!
[Right now!]
“So soon? Isn’t that too fast?” Sejun asked, shaking his head at Pochhi’s answer.
Beep!
[To think I have to send my daughter to such an unplanned and impulsive fellow!]
Raulo fumed.
Kkyuk?
[Then, a month from now?]
Pochhi changed his tune, watching Raulo’s reaction.
“That’s too late.” Sejun shook his head again at Pochhi’s answer.
Beep!
[To think I have to send my daughter to such an indecisive and unmotivated fellow!]
Raulo fumed again.
“Seriously, what do you want!” Pochhi exclaimed, utterly confused and unsure of how to please them.
Sejun and Raulo were secretly enjoying Pochhi’s predicament. *He he he. Serves him right. He’s fun to tease,* Sejun thought.
They simply didn’t like Pochhi marrying Lara and were tormenting him because of it.
Just as Pochhi was unable to set a wedding date, being too aware of Raulo’s feelings…
Ppyak!
[Just do it on my birthday!] Huk Wolbok declared, deciding on the wedding date.
Wolbok’s birthday means…
“My birthday?”
Kkueng?!
[It’s Kkueng’s birthday?!]
Kking?
[The Great Black One’s birthday?]
Since their birthdays were the same, it didn’t matter whose birthday it was, but the group insisted it was their own.
“Alright. Let’s do that. We can do it together when we have the birthday party on the 99th floor of the tower,” Sejun agreed, thinking about it. Having the wedding on his birthday would save him from doing two events.
However, he didn’t consider that hordes of hamsters would flock to Pochhi’s wedding.
The number of party attendees kept increasing.
A moment later, once the meal was over, Sejun began to worry.
“But do we have enough ingredients?” he wondered.
Clang.
Sejun opened the subspace warehouse to check if there were enough ingredients for the party. He had used almost all the ingredients preparing for the dragons’ meeting.
He originally thought that 10,000 people wouldn’t be a problem, but with the addition of wedding guests, he needed to recalculate.
“For a wedding, noodles and steak are essential, so…” Sejun examined the ingredients.
“Yeah, we don’t have much.” There was no slime meat, and the other ingredients were also lacking.
“We need to stock up on slime first. Kkueng, let’s go catch some slime with Dad,” Sejun said.
Kkueng!
[Understood!]
They entered the room where the slimes were.
Kkueng! With one punch from Kkueng, they caught the necessary amount of slime.
[Black Tower’s Senior Herbalist Park Kkueng has defeated the fifth disaster of destruction, the Gold Slime.]

[You have leveled up.]
Sejun’s level increased by 2, making him level 193.
Once the slime meat was secured…
Clang.
Sejun opened the vault to check inside. He wanted to open it for no reason, like opening the refrigerator door even though he knew it was empty.
And…
“Wow. Why is there so much money?!” Sejun smiled brightly, seeing the Tower Coins and treasures piled up in the room.
“He he he. Did Vice President Teo sell the invitations for a ridiculously high price?” Sejun boasted, “Of course. To eat the food made by me, Park Sejun, the top farmer of the Black Tower, you have to pay this much.”
At that moment…
Swish.
The vault was filled with an enormous amount of wealth.
Swish.
It filled up again.
“Why does the money keep increasing?” Sejun’s boastful expression hardened. Something felt ominous.
Swish.
Even at that moment, the money didn’t stop increasing.
“Something’s definitely wrong…” He didn’t know how much the invitations were being sold for, but this wasn’t right. It was strange.
And there’s no way this amount came from selling just 10,000 invitations, Sejun was certain.
‘Teo, that rascal! I told you to sell only 10,000!’ Teo was causing trouble.
“Eileen, please take care of this money,” Sejun said, entrusting the money in the vault to Eileen for now. If he left the money in the vault, one of the Park brothers would definitely burn it all.
[The Tower’s Administrator says she will keep your money safe so that no one can touch it.]
“Okay. I’m counting on you.” Sejun entrusted the money in the vault to the absolute vault, Eileen.
“Kkueng, Blackie, let’s go catch our big brother!”
Kkueng!
Kking!
He hurried to catch Teo, who had caused the accident. It seemed pointless to rush since over 100 million invitations had already been sold.
And…
When will Sejun come? Is he having lunch and dessert?
Wolgang waited endlessly at the entrance of the farming school for Sejun, who wasn’t coming.
