Future Knight Prologue
As a round metal object flew in from space, piercing the stratosphere and entering the atmosphere, it burned red as if melting, plummeting towards the Earth at tremendous speed.
The round object, accelerating as it fell, deployed three giant balloons and began to slowly free-fall.
Eventually, the round object safely landed on the ground, detached the balloons from its body, and slowly began to unfold.
From within the unfolded object, a spider-like exploration robot slowly emerged.
-Beeeep! Beep beep beep!
The exploration robot, emerging from the sphere, unfolded a massive antenna that had been folded like a fan on its back.
Then, it began to move around and explore.
The robot collected soil to analyze its composition, analyzed the atmosphere, and conducted various other investigations.
It then began to transmit the data obtained from these investigations to distant space through the massive antenna on its back.
Just as the exploration robot was engrossed in its assigned mission, there was a massive black shadow silently watching it from within the forest….
That massive shadow was unbelievably stealthy and agile, despite its size.
But no matter how stealthy and agile it was, it could not avoid heat detection by the infrared sensors.
Warning alarms blared from the robot as it detected the approaching creature.
However, in the blink of an eye, the exploration robot was struck by a massive rock and shattered, becoming non-functional.
As the exploration robot sparked and fell silent, the creature that threw the rock began to roar.
“Kuaaaaaah!”
The creature, entirely green, was nearly 5 meters tall.
The roar emanating from that massive body echoed throughout the forest.
After the rough roar, the creature, seemingly pleased with its successful hunt, swayed its shoulders and approached the shattered exploration robot.
And, swallowing hard, it tore off one of the robot’s legs with all its might.
However….
“Krrk?”
The creature seemed bewildered by the metal leg of the robot and began to examine its prey intently.
After a moment, the creature’s breathing grew increasingly rough, and it suddenly screamed, nervously smashing the exploration robot’s body with a rock.
It had thought it had caught a giant spider, which it loved to eat, but this prey was made entirely of inedible metal.
The creature’s fiery rage, fueled by extreme hunger, was directed entirely at the exploration robot, and soon, the exploration robot was reduced to an unrecognizable pancake by the dozens of times the creature smashed it with the rock.
Future Knight Episode 1
1. Human Descended from the Sky
On a full moon night, in an endlessly vast, lush forest.
Breaking the silent stillness of that forest, the sky began to turn red.
Beneath that night sky, numerous shining eyes sensed the unusual signs and looked up at the sky all at once.
The eyes, looking up at the reddening sky, began to tremble with fear as the sky changed more and more rapidly.
As the red light in the sky grew brighter and brighter, a massive roar echoed as if the sky itself was exploding.
The massive roar echoed throughout the forest.
Startled birds flew into the dark night sky, and small animals hidden in the ground scurried out of their burrows and fled in all directions.
The red light seemed to grow brighter and brighter, and then, in an instant, the clouds cleared away at a terrifying speed, revealing the source of the red light in its massive form.
The monstrous object plummeting from the sky was like a giant meteor.
However, as if to prove that it was not a meteor, it desperately resisted falling straight to the Earth.
The monstrous object tried to reduce its speed by spewing fire forward, but it was not enough.
Thus, the massive object, burning red, entrusted its massive body to the vast Earth with a tremendous roar. A tremendous impact struck the forest.
Kwakwakwakwakwakwang! Koongkoogoogoogoong!
Along with the cloud of dust that soared high into the sky, the forest burst into flames, and nothing remained in the path of the massive object.
Thus, the monstrous object finally leaned against a massive cliff and fell silent, leaving behind a trail of destruction stretching thousands of meters.
The body of the crashed monstrous object was hundreds of meters in size, and its massive body was so heated by the tremendous heat it received while passing through the atmosphere that molten metal flowed down.
Thanks to the uninvited guest, the forest was ablaze, brightly illuminating the dark night sky.
The next day, living creatures approached the subsided flames.
Gathering around the monstrous object that was the cause of all this, they were beings with unique appearances, with the same appearance as humans but with particularly pointed ears.
They were a race called ‘Elves’ who lived in this forest.
They cautiously approached the massive monstrous object, wary of their surroundings, to investigate this object that had suddenly fallen from the sky in the middle of the night.
“Our forest… to be like this….”
The voice of a young man watching the destroyed forest listlessly was filled with deep anger.
“Elradion, this is not a meteor….”
“I am watching too.”
The elf called Elradion, cutting off the young elf’s words, was lost in thought with a serious expression.
‘How could such a massive thing fall from the sky? Judging by its shape, it is very similar to the arks of the gods described in ancient books, but surely this is not an ark made by God?’
Even after quite some time had passed, the heat around the monstrous object had not cooled down, and it was too hot to approach any further.
At that moment, elves holding staffs stepped forward.
“Now! Let’s all gather our strength and cool down the heat of the monstrous object.”
“Understood. Ice Field!”
“Ice Field!”
As the same words were repeated from the mouths of other elves, a wide range of frost fell around the monstrous object, which had been shimmering with heat haze, rapidly cooling the area.
Before long, the once scorching hull of the monstrous object was covered in white frost.
“Well, we’ve cooled down the heat roughly, so let’s go inside. I’ll ask for a protection spell.”
“Understood. Protect Shield!”
As the elf holding the staff chanted a protection spell, Elradion’s body glowed with a blue light.
Elradion, who had received the shield magic, leaped into the massive crack in the monstrous object.
His movements were so swift that he vanished in an instant.
“Let’s hurry and follow Elradion inside.”
Fifteen elves followed Elradion’s lead and entered the interior through the crack in the monstrous object.
Then, they saw an amazing sight unfold before their eyes.
They were speechless.
Like the outside, the inside was also made entirely of metal.
And although they were sparsely turned off, the inside of the monstrous object was as bright as day thanks to the light flowing from the ceiling.
The elf wizards could immediately tell that the light was not shining brightly with the power of magic.
One of the wizards said to Elradion.
“The power of mana is felt faintly in that light, but it is not being activated by magic. And this metal space is so elaborate that even dwarves could not create it.”
“Truly amazing. How was this joined together?”
Elradion exclaimed in amazement as he saw that the metal and metal were joined together as precisely as if they had been one from the beginning.
“Elradion! There’s a person collapsed over there!”
“I will see.”
The elf called Elradion rushed over and examined the fallen man.
But he was already dead.
Judging by the degree of decay, he seemed to have been dead for about a month.
Judging from the rough scars carved into the wall around him, it could be inferred that he had desperately resisted something before he died.
“Hmm, a human.”
The corpse before him was a typical human.
However, the attire he was wearing was so bizarre that even Elradion, who had lived for hundreds of years, had never seen it before.
“The attire he is wearing is truly unique. I have lived for hundreds of years, but I have never seen a human wearing such bizarre attire. For a man to be wearing a full-body suit so indecently… Moreover, I don’t know the material of this clothing at all; it’s neither leather nor cloth. It’s a material I’ve never seen before.”
As the elf called Elradion pulled on the dead man’s clothes, the clothes were surprisingly elastic and very thin and soft.
“A cloth I have neither heard of nor seen. There is not a single object inside this monstrous object that smells of this world.”
“I also dislike the strange, foreign energy that I feel inside here. Could this massive ark be from another world?”
“Everything will be resolved if we find a living person.”
“Understood. Everyone, let’s move.”
As the investigation team got up to leave and move to another place, an elf wizard, who had been watching the green and red buttons on the wall with curious eyes, pressed the green button.
Then, with a ‘beep!’ sound, the wall that had been a door opened at a rapid speed.
Wiiiiiiiiing.
“Heok!”
Suddenly, the elves, startled by the wall turning into a door and opening, retreated like flying squirrels, drew their rapiers, and entered a defensive stance.
The rapiers of the elf swordsmen, who were scanning the front with tense eyes, glowed bluishly.
But unfortunately, there was no one on the other side of the door, and as time passed, the door automatically closed and returned to being a wall.
The elves’ gazes naturally turned to the elf wizard, who was standing in an awkward pose.
“What did you press?”
“I, I just pressed this red button.”
As Elradion approached the door and touched the button again, the wall automatically opened again as before.
Then, some of the tense elves flinched, but Elradion, after examining the room, reassured them.
“There is nothing inside. This seems to be a door they used.”
“This is a door?”
They had seen doors that used magic circles, but they were seeing a door that opened on its own for the first time, so they all looked at the automatic door with very curious eyes.
“Very fascinating.”
“There is no more time to delay. Let’s go.”
“Ah, yes, Elradion.”
Thus, they were quite flustered by encountering the automatic door for the first time, but as they continued to encounter automatic doors, they gradually became accustomed to them.
From then on, they confidently opened the doors and roamed around the monstrous object in search of survivors.
After wandering around inside for a long time, they found a few more humans, but they were all already dead.
And they had been brutally torn apart by something.
“It’s so difficult to find a living person… Sylvia, did you check through Undine [a water spirit]?”
“Yes, Elradion. A faint life force is felt in that direction.”
“Guide us.”
Whether it was because of the presence of the other world, Undine’s power was greatly weakened, but they were able to sense the power of life without difficulty through Undine.
Guided by Undine, who was shaped like a small water droplet, they entered an area where the walls were green.
Then, there were not just one or two people like now, but dozens of humans gathered in one place, having died a mass death.
They, too, seemed to have fought desperately with something before they died, and the area around them was so devastated.
The bizarre sticks held in their hands were probably weapons they used.
But they were all cut in half along with their arms by something incredibly sharp.
Judging from the large shelters that were destroyed and scattered here and there, it seemed that they had created a final defense line here.
“Everyone, stay alert! There seems to be something very dangerous lurking here.”
“Yes!”
They focused all their senses on the threat that might come from anywhere.
As they passed through the corridor and entered the destroyed green door with red lights flashing wildly, they were able to witness an amazing sight along with a foul stench.
People were submerged in liquid, with tubes in their mouths.
But they were certainly not alive.
The glass tubes were thoroughly destroyed.
The stagnant liquid had turned red due to their blood, and organs that should have been intact inside their bodies were floating on the water.
The culprit who had made them like this was before their eyes.
A hideous metal doll with several spider-like legs was standing there, having stabbed one of its legs into the torso of a human in the ninth glass tube.
