Hello. First, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the readers who have stayed with me until the very end.

This nonchalantly glaring fellow is my cat, Bush (the 1st), the star of ‘The Cat Did It.’ Some people add my last name to it, but I usually just call him Bush.

He wasn’t the inspiration for White in the story, but it’s strangely similar in many ways, except for the obvious difference in species. This crazy cat keeps trying to run away, or he’s so docile he’ll follow complete strangers, but then he’ll try to punch other cats or creatures. It’s amazing how alike they are.

Of course, that doesn’t mean he’s ever won against a dog like White does in the story. Instead, though it’s not quite the same, he spectacularly destroyed a brand new fishing rod in about three seconds.

Let’s set aside the story of the cat who caused the early registration incident and get back to the main story. Recently, something interesting happened.

A reader kept poking at sensitive plot points, which was a bit embarrassing. Answering directly would be a spoiler, but ignoring the questions felt like I was avoiding something important, so I really worried about what to do.

So, since there were only a few chapters left anyway, I addressed those questions through the story itself. If anyone was offended by that, I sincerely apologize here and now.

‘The Great America of George Bush’ is my first work that I’ve truly completed. I’ve had works that I rushed to finish before (not including practice pieces I posted online), but this is the first time I’ve ever gone over 100 chapters.

To be honest, this work had many ups and downs. At first, I wrote down a plot thinking, ‘This is how it should be,’ but the more I researched, the more of a mess it became. The more I knew, the more I realized that things could never be exactly as I initially envisioned, and as a result, I had to drop a few plot points.

Next time, I’ll probably write fantasy. If I ever work on an alternate history again, I’ll research it thoroughly and push through with unwavering determination.

Still, I am truly blessed to have readers like you who watched over me until the end.
