294. If You Break a Promise
Rembrary was questioning the current situation.
‘Why is there pizza here?’
Rembrary woke up as usual, took a quick shower, and came out refreshed for breakfast.
After breakfast, he planned to urge Shin Jo-woon to check how many early discharge consent signatures he had received. Then, he was going to visit the Lion Lord to figure out how to compete against someone who uses teleportation, practicing with him.
Before, the Lion Lord had approached Rembrary right in front of him and was hit by God’s Authority. But what if someone using that ability approached and attacked from behind?
And that’s not all. He couldn’t think of it right away, but he also had to consider the possibility of abilities or monsters that didn’t match Rembrary’s strength besides teleportation.
Anyway, he was very busy with several things to think about. But suddenly, there’s pizza at the door.
‘Who put this here?’
Rembrary picked up the pizza box on the floor and looked around. But there was no one in sight.
It was still morning, so Shin Jo-woon would be at his house, and there weren’t many people wandering around inside the building either.
‘Let’s not touch it for now.’
After thinking, Rembrary put the pizza box back down and went to the cafeteria. The smell of the pizza was good enough to make his mouth water, but this wasn’t a regular house, but a hunter company dormitory. There might be poison inside.

‘Is it not?’
And Shin Jo-woon, hiding and watching Rembrary’s actions, frowned.
He had thrown out bait, thinking, ‘Could it be?’ but when the other person completely avoided it, he was disappointed, thinking, ‘Did I have a strange thought after all?’
‘If it were a pig, he would have definitely taken it and eaten it.’
Leaning against the wall for a moment, staring at the pizza box sitting there, Shin Jo-woon sighed and turned around.
‘I’m crazy.’

At the same time that Rembrary was eating at the Worldboom cafeteria and Shin Jo-woon was taking coffee to the CEO’s office, the Wild Animal members were sitting around a table having breakfast.
The atmosphere was as bad as usual. Jung Seo, Tae-in, and Keshi moved their hands without saying a word, and Hye-gyeol and Woo Yeon-woo only exchanged a few words, but it didn’t last long.
“Ah.”
In the midst of this, Jung Seo, who rarely spoke, finished his meal and put down his spoon, opening his mouth first.
“I saw someone who looks like you.”
The ‘you’ that Jung Seo pointed to was Woo Yeon-woo. Woo Yeon-woo frowned as he mechanically ate his cereal.
“Like me?”
“Yeah.”
“Who?”
Hye-gyeol, bored, immediately jumped in.
“Do they look alike? Who is it?”
“No, they don’t look alike at all.”
Keshi chuckled at Jung Seo’s words. In his mind, he thought, ‘Does that mean their personalities are similar? Then that person must have a bad personality too,’ but he didn’t express it.
Wild Animal was now one of the most popular idol groups in Korea, and Woo Yeon-woo was the foundation of that popularity.
Of course, each individual member was also quite popular now. Even if they disbanded, they had all earned enough money to live well.
But Woo Yeon-woo wasn’t just an idol, he was a national hero. Thanks to Woo Yeon-woo being affiliated with Nakru, when they went to perform, they would just send hunters from that side.
The Wild Animal members weren’t children anymore. Of course, they were still young adults, but they had matured to some extent, and they all knew that it was a loss to be swept away by emotions and fight recklessly.
“It’s just that the feeling is similar to you.”
As Jung Seo spoke calmly, Woo Yeon-woo frowned again, feeling bad, and asked.
“Feeling? What do you mean the feeling is similar?”
Jung Seo showed him the photo of trainee Rembrary that he had saved on his phone during the broadcast meeting.
“This person.”
Woo Yeon-woo looked at the photo without much thought, but when he saw Rembrary in the photo, he choked and coughed.
‘Why is that guy’s picture coming out from there?’
“Why? Who is it?”
Hye-gyeol, surprised by Woo Yeon-woo’s reaction, stretched his neck out to check, and was genuinely impressed when he saw Rembrary’s face.
“Wow. He’s so handsome.”
When Hye-gyeol praised Rembrary’s face, Woo Yeon-woo felt upset for no reason and shouted at Jung Seo.
“What about him looks like me?”
“I know, right? He’s like 300 times more handsome than you.”
However, when Tae-in, who had checked the photo, quietly provoked him, Woo Yeon-woo became even more upset, got up, and went into his room.
Woo Yeon-woo, who closed the door with a bang, chewed his thumb anxiously and muttered a curse. What is it? Why is that guy’s picture coming out from there?
It wouldn’t be strange if Woo Sung-woo had sent me that picture. Why does Jung Seo, who hasn’t awakened and remains an ordinary celebrity, have that picture…?
Woo Yeon-woo had forgotten that Jung Seo was going to be on a hunter-related program, so he tore at his hair, thinking this was strange.
After seeing Rembrary’s picture, his anxiety soared, his tongue tickled, and his heart felt heavy.
‘Did Sloth approach him first? They were close. That’s right. I think so. Then is Han Jung-seo testing me, knowing the truth? …She didn’t seem like it… No. I can’t be sure. Han Jung-seo is good at acting.’
He was lost in thought for a long time.
“!”
Woo Yeon-woo suddenly felt his vision go black and staggered before falling with a thud.
Hye-gyeol, who had followed him, thinking Woo Yeon-woo’s reaction was a bit strange, was about to knock on the door when he heard the sound and asked in surprise.
“Hyung [older brother or male friend], are you okay?”
But there was no answer. Only an ominous silence.
“Hyung?”
Eventually, Hye-gyeol, unable to stop worrying, grabbed the doorknob.
“I’m okay.”
A calm voice came from inside. Then, the doorknob near Hye-gyeol’s hand turned with a click, the door opened, and Woo Yeon-woo came out from inside.
“Are you really okay? Your forehead……”
Hye-gyeol pointed to Woo Yeon-woo’s forehead, which had a blue bruise. He didn’t look okay at all. The thud sounded like it was from the bruise.
“I’m okay.”
But Woo Yeon-woo answered casually, poked Hye-gyeol’s head with his index finger, smiled only with his eyes, and passed by him.
Hye-gyeol blinked and stood there, belatedly rubbing his forehead where Woo Yeon-woo had poked him, and turned his head. But Woo Yeon-woo had already left the apartment.
‘That’s strange. Hyung’s atmosphere just now……?’

That afternoon, Woo Yeon-woo didn’t return, and Jung Seo went to the ‘Singing Forest’ territory with the reporters.
The production team unanimously agreed at the meeting to cover trainee Rembrary as the next promising hunter, and this was to gather information related to this.
“This is Han Jung-seo’s first time on a hunter-related program, right?”
“Yes.”
“There’s a high probability of meeting some crazy people. But don’t be too scared. Even if they’re crazy, they seem to restrain themselves when the broadcast starts.”
“Yes.”
“But don’t relax too much. There are one or two crazy people who can’t restrain themselves.”
While moving in a large bus that was rented entirely, the staff told Jung Seo all sorts of stories to help her relax.
Covering hunters was quite dangerous. They hired both hunter bodyguards and regular bodyguards in preparation for any eventuality, but it was still dangerous, and injuries often occurred.
Because of this situation, the production team tended to stick together, and since Jung Seo wasn’t just a guest but had joined as a fixed guest, they seemed to think of her as family and tried to take care of her in various ways.
While exchanging advice and worries, the bus gradually moved from relatively safe non-urban areas to dangerous non-urban areas.
However, the sound of conversation gradually decreased upon arriving at the ‘Singing Forest’. When they went to the lord’s mansion with the guidance of the person sent by the lord, no one opened their mouths.
“What are you so scared of? We made a formal request for coverage and got permission, right?”
Seeing this, the main PD [Producer Director] tried to change the atmosphere by laughing bravely, but it was useless.
“Let’s go in.”
The PD was just as scared, so he put the bodyguards in front and behind and carefully entered the mansion.
The cameramen also firmly held their cameras while shaking their hands and followed the PD. These scenes would help to capture the atmosphere of the coverage site later, so they were all recorded.
Fortunately, before going too deep into the mansion, the lord of this place, whom they had only seen in photos, approached with a seemingly kind smile.
“Welcome. Welcome to my territory. So, you said you wanted to cover a hunter? You wanted to hear about that blonde hunter? The name is… Rembrary?”
In fact, the photos of the lord and Rembrary posted on the hunter training center community didn’t seem to have been taken in a very good situation, so the main MC [Master of Ceremonies] carefully explained while watching the lord’s reaction as gently as possible.
“Yes. Our program covers promising hunters. That hunter Rembrary didn’t seem to have a very good personality, but since he’s the most talked about rookie these days, we started covering him.”
The main PD also quickly added, watching the lord’s reaction.
“The hunters we cover on our program are just rookies who have gained some recognition, not hunters with good personalities. I hope you don’t feel too bad.”
“Why? That person seemed to have a good personality.”
However, the lord rather praised Rembrary, whom he had seen in person, saying that he seemed to have a good personality in addition to his skills and face.
Thanks to this, just as the atmosphere was about to become friendly.
The lord, who was telling various stories while smiling, suddenly put his hand in the air and flicked it.
Before they could even think about what that was, Jung Seo, who was sitting a few seats away, was pulled in front of him and grabbed by the neck.
“Ah!”
“Lord!”
“Wait a minute!”
The main MC, other guests, and the main PD, who were sitting close to the lord, jumped up from their chairs and screamed at what had happened in the blink of an eye.
But the lord already had Jung Seo’s neck in one hand, and a chilling smile was on his lips.
They had heard that he was a crazy lord, but they had been too careless! The people who saw this belatedly realized and were terrified.
Suddenly, the lord flinched and vomited blood.
This happened as quickly as Jung Seo being suddenly dragged away, so the production team didn’t immediately understand what was going on.
Even when the lord vomited blood a few more times, they only thought that he was trying to do something crazy again.
However, when the lord put Jung Seo down, shed tears of blood, and muttered, “Rembrary… you son of a bitch…” the staff finally realized that this situation was not the lord’s self-inflicted act and quickly ran to take care of Jung Seo and retreated.
