◈ 610. That Won’t Do
Rembrary ended up at the amusement park because of a video Mulu saw in a recommended video clip.
“I’ve never been here before.”
Rembrary was rather free at the moment, still contemplating whether or not he should go around destroying pillars.
“If you’ve come to Earth, you have to play the Earth way!”
Rembrary immediately scheduled a visit, and Ardor naturally bought the tickets.
Then Nineng slyly joined in.
“I’ve never seen it either, High Priest.”
And so, the four members of the Redrin Order went to the amusement park.
Kim Murok, unaware of these circumstances, reluctantly bought a ticket and came to ‘Exciting Hello Park,’ but he wasn’t in a good mood.
“Why an amusement park all of a sudden?”
Kim Murok, who wanted to have a serious conversation with Rembrary, grumbled and took out his phone.
Since the amusement park was large, he needed to ask Rembrary exactly where he was.
But just as he was about to make a call, he saw a group of people running in his direction.
“What’s going on?”
Kim Murok, who instinctively checked out anything that could be broadcast material, followed the crowd.
People around Kim Murok also ran without knowing what was happening.
Kim Murok could hear where people were running as he ran.
“It’s Rembrary!”
“He’s riding the sky bike!”
“The sky bike is stretched out from one end to the other, right?”
The place people were running to was where Rembrary was.
Kim Murok, who inadvertently found out Rembrary’s whereabouts, looked down at the phone in his hand, wondering if he should be happy about this.
Then, the people running in front of him suddenly stopped, and Kim Murok almost fell.
“Ouch!”
Kim Murok barely managed to stop himself from falling and noticed that everyone was looking up at the sky.
‘Why are they doing that?’ Kim Murok also looked in the direction they were looking.
“!”
Soon, Kim Murok’s eyes widened.
On the sky-blue rails stretched out in the air, yellow, red, and blue sky bikes were moving, but one in particular was surrounded by other bikes in the front and back.
“It’s Rembrary!”
“Rembrary’s over there!”
People took out their phones and pointed them at the sky bike surrounded from all sides.
Indeed, Rembrary, with his long blonde hair, was sitting on the sky bike, leisurely pedaling and occasionally waving his hand towards the ground as if he wasn’t bothered by the crowd.
“Wow!”
Watching the people cheering, Kim Murok clicked his tongue.
‘He’s really popular.’
Kim Murok walked along, keeping pace with Rembrary, holding his phone and wondering whether he should call or not.
He was worried. Even if he called from here, would he be able to break through the crowd and meet him?
* * *
Because the people riding in front of Rembrary were moving too slowly, it took quite a while for Rembrary to get off the sky bike.
Even then, Kim Murok was still moving through the crowd, trying to find a chance to meet Rembrary.
‘What is this? He should have at least covered his face.’
As he moved, Kim Murok realized that Rembrary wasn’t here alone.
He knew Ardor was with him from the voice he heard over the phone, but there were two other companions.
One was a green-haired woman, and the other was a light brown-haired man.
‘If that’s the case, he should have just picked another day. Why did he call me here?’
Kim Murok clicked his tongue as he moved through the crowd, then realized that people were following Rembrary, but keeping a certain distance.
He didn’t know because he was being pushed from the back.
As he moved forward, he saw a circle formed around Rembrary’s group.
Kim Murok wondered if people were being considerate, but then he noticed Ardor taking out his gun and wiping the barrel from time to time.
‘Ah. The Ardor effect.’
Kim Murok rolled the phone in his hand again.
Seeing that, he was even more reluctant to go in.
Would that crazy psycho Ardor even let him talk to Rembrary?
“Wow. Rembrary is really handsome in person.”
“The people he’s with are all cool too. Ardor seems crazy, but he’s handsome. Right?”
“He doesn’t seem that crazy when he’s with them.”
“Ardor is a breadwinner.”
“Huh?”
Then Kim Murok remembered what people were whispering.
‘That’s right. I don’t necessarily have to talk to him directly.’
There was a way to figure out Rembrary from afar, just like the people around him were doing.
‘Yeah. If I talk to him, he might pretend to be safe on purpose. Maybe it’s more accurate to watch them play among themselves.’
Changing his mind, Kim Murok put his phone in his pocket and ran to a nearby gift shop while Rembrary was riding the Viking.
“Um, that… that… that green mask! Hurry!”
“Yes?”
“That one over there!”
At the gift shop, Kim Murok bought a zombie mask that covered his entire face and ran to where the Viking ride was.
Fortunately, the Viking ride that Rembrary was on had just stopped.
Kim Murok rejoined the crowd following Rembrary.
“Oh, what is this.”
“Oh my.”
People were startled by the monster mask, but it was okay since his face was covered.
Thus, Kim Murok’s Rembrary observation time began.
* * *
After riding the Viking, Rembrary took his group to the roller coaster, but he didn’t ride it himself, sending only the three companions.
Kim Murok watched, wondering what he was doing, and the expressions of two of the three companions getting off the roller coaster were quite a sight.
The green-haired woman was serious but pale, and the light brown-haired man looked like he was about to throw up.
Ardor was muttering something, but Kim Murok couldn’t understand what he was saying, but it was obviously nonsense.
Next, they went to ride the Gyro Drop, but Rembrary didn’t ride it again, only putting the other three on.
Then, he was very happy when the three came out of the exit, looking pale.
‘Is he doing that on purpose?’
As a result of watching, the right level of scary rides that Rembrary enjoyed was definitely the Viking.
He seemed to ride the dizzying rides that spun around well, and he also seemed to ride the slow and safe merry-go-rounds and swing rides well. He also bought snacks in between…
‘No, there’s not much to it?’
It was no different from how ordinary people played.
Kim Murok followed them to a few places and began to feel a sense of futility, wondering, ‘What am I doing?’
Whenever he thought he was going to have a serious conversation, the stories they were telling were like this.
“When you ride the Viking, you feel like your heart is floating and sinking. Why is that?”
When Rembrary said this, Ardor grabbed his hands tightly next to him and shouted.
“I felt that too, High Priest! It seems that I and the High Priest are connected!”
When the light brown-haired man tried to say, “I felt that too—,” Ardor tried to chase him away, saying that a vicious heretic had taken root in him.
There was really nothing special.
‘No, but since they’re the main culprits who made Earth like this, there must be something else!’
There’s no way they’re just riding rides so happily.
With that, Kim Murok became stubborn and got closer and closer to Rembrary’s group.
Then, when he came to his senses, he was standing in line to ride a ride with them, and he even ended up riding bumper cars with them.
‘Huh? Why am I?’
Kim Murok became confused as he sat in a bumper car.
He was going to watch from afar, but how did he end up riding a ride with them?
But unlike Kim Murok’s feelings, exciting dance music was playing on the ride.
Kim Murok sighed and rubbed his face, watching Rembrary shake his upper body to the tune of the Wild Animal song.
That guy came to destroy the Earth… that guy?
‘Of course, he said he didn’t come to destroy it, but was chased away…’
In the meantime. There was a clunking sound from above, and the bumper cars finally started moving.
Kim Murok, a veteran driver, sighed and used one hand to steer the bumper car to a suitably remote place.
As he did, he saw that people didn’t dare to hit Rembrary’s car, and they were all avoiding Rembrary.
Kim Murok circled the outskirts. Then, when Kim Murok saw Rembrary leisurely driving alone, he came up with a good idea.
‘People show their true colors when they’re angry.’
And bumper cars are a great ride to make people angry.
Kim Murok smiled and sped towards Rembrary’s bumper car, which was peacefully driving alone, and slammed into the side.
At that moment. Without exaggeration, all the cars around him stopped at the same time.
People stared at Kim Murok, who was wearing a green monster mask, with expressions from [Edvard] Munch’s *The Scream*.
‘How about that, you alien.’
Kim Murok chuckled inwardly, and as soon as Rembrary looked at him, he slammed the side of the bumper car again, causing it to hit the wall.
Kim Murok repeated this two or three times, so it looked intentional to anyone.
Then, he even raised his middle finger at Rembrary.
‘Come on, you must be angry by now, right? Show me your true colors!’
Was it because that spell worked? Rembrary looked at Kim Murok and smiled so brightly that it was blinding.
His smile was so dazzling that even Kim Murok, who was used to seeing famous celebrities up close, was momentarily stunned.
Taking advantage of that moment, Rembrary pulled the car out of the outskirts, and Kim Murok felt a little sorry.
Even after doing this, he just smiles and lets it go.
‘Even though he talks like a weirdo, he’s not a bad person. Come to think of it. I didn’t think he was a particularly bad person when I saw him before.’
As he was thinking that, Rembrary’s smiling face suddenly got bigger.
Rembrary turned the bumper car towards him and came running.
‘What? Is he going to get revenge?’
Kim Murok scoffed and leisurely avoided Rembrary, then took refuge next to Rembrary’s companion, the light brown-haired man.
‘He won’t hit an ally.’
Then he chuckled, but the light brown-haired man screamed.
“Ah!”
As soon as he heard that sound, Kim Murok flew away with the bumper car.
Only after hitting the edge at high speed did Kim Murok realize that Rembrary had hit him along with his companion.
‘What the hell, that alien?’
Angry, Kim Murok temporarily postponed his original plan to make Rembrary angry and quickly turned the car to the side and charged towards Rembrary’s bumper car.
And he saw a chilling sight.
‘That bastard!’
Rembrary was charging towards his car head-on in the same way.
Even if that was the case, his bright smile was too creepy.
“Haha! You’re so funny!”
The moment the two cars collided.
Kim Murok, hearing Rembrary’s laughter, felt a chill down his spine for no reason and quickly turned the car to the other side.
‘Did he get a steel bumper car by himself? Why is his car so strong?’
Kim Murok, whose bones were aching even when he was still, didn’t want to make his bones suffer by colliding cars on purpose.
Kim Murok quickly took refuge among the people, intending to wait for the play time to end.
And he heard it.
Bang, ah, bang, ugh, bang, the screams and collisions came one after another.
Looking back, Rembrary was coming towards him, clearing all the other cars.
‘Why does that bastard keep following me!’
* * *
Did they form a friendship while riding bumper cars?
As he was holding his throbbing neck and going out the exit, Rembrary suddenly ran up to Kim Murok and said in a gentle voice.
“You were the first to treat me like that.”
“Yes?”
“Everyone else avoids me, so it wasn’t fun. That’s when you appeared.”
‘Ah… so that’s why he chased me so happily.’
It looked peaceful, but. Was it not fun for him?
Thinking that, Kim Murok was about to say a few words that he had fun too, but he hurriedly avoided the spot when he saw Ardor standing behind Rembrary pointing the gun at him.
As he was doing that, he received a call from a staff member who knew he had come to see Rembrary.
The staff member laughed and asked when Kim Murok was complaining that his neck and shoulders hurt.
[I heard you were going to see Rembrary in person. What’s he like?]
“He’s a crazy bastard.”
[You always said that.]
“He’s even more so the more you see him.”
Kim Murok clicked his tongue and added, looking at Rembrary’s group going to buy cotton candy in the distance.
“But I don’t think he’s a bad guy.”
[Ah… is that so?]
“Um. I think we can change the direction of the documentary.”
[How?]
“Even if we don’t produce the documentary, someone will do it anyway. So we’ll do the documentary, but, well. In a direction that considers Rembrary’s side too—”
Before he could finish speaking. His phone exploded.
