809. Never Look at His Face
“It’s the Holy Knight Training Camp,” Rembrary said nonchalantly, but Gaieger jumped up. Going to the Holy Knight Training Camp? Did he want to become a Holy Knight after fighting monsters?
“Why are you going to the Holy Knight Training Camp?”
As soon as Gaieger asked, one of the Redrin Holy Knights who was watching chimed in.
“Are you going to become a Holy Knight?” His voice was excited.
“You’d be a good Holy Knight. I think you’d do well,” another Holy Knight said in a happy voice, popping out into the hallway.
Gaieger’s face turned red with anger. Rembrary was the best talent in the Florandia Temple. He was a kid who would grow up to be an even greater priest. Where did these Holy Knights suddenly come from, trying to snatch away his talent!
“You’re not suited to be a Holy Knight!” Gaieger shouted sternly, angry. “You’re a born priest, Rembrary. You’re a custom-made priest from head to toe.”
Rembrary looked up at Gaieger blankly, then smiled brightly. “Is that so?”
“Of course!”
Rembrary smiled brightly as if pleased with the words, and stretched out his shoulders. “Gaieger-nim [term of respect] has finally acknowledged me. You can’t help but notice, no matter how hard you try to pretend, right?”
Gaieger wanted to take back about half of his praise. *This* kid has no humility!
But if he took it back, he didn’t know what sly things the Holy Knights, who were watching with fire in their eyes, would say.
“Yes. I admit it. You’re the best, Rembrary,” Gaieger reluctantly praised him again, and Rembrary nodded proudly.
“Then you’re not going to the training camp, are you?” Gaieger asked, relieved.
“No.”
However, Rembrary still brought up the story of the training camp. Gaieger jumped up. “I’m telling you, you’re a born priest. It looks great to the Holy Knights, but how much hardship…”
Gaieger trailed off, realizing that dozens of Holy Knights were just beyond the thin door. But all the Holy Knights who were going to hear it had already heard it.
“I’m not trying to become a Holy Knight,” Rembrary smiled contentedly and corrected Gaieger’s misunderstanding.
“You’re not?”
“Yes. I’m going to meet Cheru-kyung [another term of respect].”
Gaieger stared blankly. Cheru?
“Who is Cheru?”
“The most wonderful person in the world.”
As Rembrary spread his arms wide, Gaieger inwardly blamed himself for praising the kid so much a few minutes ago. *I guess you have to listen to everything people say until the end*, he thought.
“No way.”
However, Gaieger was relieved that Rembrary was not converting to a Holy Knight, but still said firmly. “Why?”
Rembrary’s eyes widened. He thought that Gaieger would naturally let him go since he had acknowledged his brilliance.
“Why not?”
“It’s okay to return to the Florandia Temple. No, you *should* be going now. But a training camp? You’ve already missed too many classes. Where else is there a trainee priest who travels as often as you do?”
Gaieger scolded the kid in a stern voice. “I’m not going to play. I’m going to heal Cheru-kyung,” Rembrary immediately protested. “I promised. Cheru-kyung was hurt because of me.”
“…….”
Gaieger was a little shaken by Rembrary’s words. But after a moment of shaking, Gaieger firmly said again, “No. Still, principles are principles.”
“Gaieger-nim is too rigid. You have less flexibility than Ridal.”
“That little! Ah, no, Ridal, I mean…” Gaieger retorted irritably, then stammered, realizing that Ridal was staring blankly at him.
Ridal was hurt and lowered his head.
“Priest Gaieger,” a Redrin Holy Knight, who was watching this, carefully chimed in. “I have to leave for the training camp tomorrow to report. If it’s okay, shall I take Rembrary with me?”
At the Holy Knight’s suggestion, Rembrary nodded dignifiedly. “Thank you. You’re a very nice person.”
Gaieger frowned and looked back and forth between Rembrary and the Holy Knight.
*Come to think of it, Gaieger seemed to have heard a story about a Holy Knight who lost his divine power while trying to protect Rembrary. But the principle is…*
“Priest. Can I go with Rembrary too?” As Gaieger seemed to waver, Ridal asked with hope.
“Let’s do this,” Gaieger finally made a decision when he heard those words. “Rembrary, you go to the training camp and come back. And Ridal, let’s go to the Florandia Temple together. We’re done here anyway.”
“Yes?!”
“Okay!”
Ridal and Rembrary answered at the same time, but their voices were completely different. Ridal was sulking and peeked at Rembrary. He wanted to go with him too.
“Ridal. You guys haven’t had classes for too long. Your homework is almost done, right?” Gaieger asked bluntly, and Ridal lost his words. The question of whether Rembrary was the same was on the tip of his tongue. But he knew very well that Rembrary wasn’t going to the training center to play.
“Yes…….”
Eventually, Ridal nodded sullenly.
Gaieger clicked his tongue inwardly. *He should have tried to whine one more time. That kid is too innocent.* But being sorry was one thing, and the principle was another.
“Good. Then Rembrary, you have to come back as soon as you heal that Cheru-kyung person at the training camp. You must never play around. Got it?”
“Okay!”
“I’m going to calculate the distance from here to the training camp and the distance from the training camp back to the Florandia Temple. Got it?”
“Okay!”
Rembrary smiled brightly, grabbed Gaieger’s sleeve, and smiled brightly. He’s finally going to heal Cheru-kyung! He’s finally going to keep his promise!

The next day.
Rembrary was drowsy and couldn’t wake up properly in the early morning. “Rembrary, Rembrary!”
Rembrary, who barely woke up, washed his face roughly and staggered into the carriage while clinging to the Holy Knight. Gaieger clicked his tongue and handed Rembrary’s bag to the Holy Knight.
“Please take good care of the kid. He’s a troublemaker, so don’t let him go anywhere else. I hope you send him back as soon as the treatment is over at the training camp.”
“Of course,” the Holy Knight laughed heartily and closed the carriage door. Ridal grabbed Gaieger’s arm and stared blankly at the carriage carrying Rembrary as it drove away.
Gaieger watched the carriage go down the hill and become smaller and smaller, and when the carriage was completely out of sight, he turned around and shook the kid’s arm lightly. “There’s no need to be jealous, Ridal. Rembrary has his own way, and you have yours.”
“Is that so……?”
“Rembrary has healing powers, so he’ll be able to take care of himself with just that. That’s his path. It would be a good thing for him to heal a lot of people.”
“What about me?”
“You awakened your divine power earlier than your peers, and it’s not ordinary. You have to study the Holy Scriptures hard so that you can use your divine power better. So you have to become a high-ranking priest. Then you can help more people.”
Ridal didn’t know whether to be hopeful or disappointed, so he closed his mouth. Anyway, he had no choice but to work hard.

After Rembrary and Ridal left, Rabsus, who was the last one left, was greatly shocked. “They both left……? Without even telling me……?”
Rabsus, who heard the news, stood by the window, pressing down his sorrow with his mouth shut. Rembrary was originally a rude bastard, but even the kind Ridal just left.
Ridal was confused in his own way, so he just left in a daze, but Rabsus had no way of knowing this. Rabsus locked himself in his room for half a day before hardening his heart and going outside.
However, Ridal had to go back up after going down about half of the stairs because of the sound he heard from below.
“The Redrin Holy Knights are bragging that Rembrary and Ridal will be great.”
“Funny guys. They’re just trainee priests.”
“Rembrary’s ability is useful, though.”
“No matter how useful he is, there’s no guarantee that he’ll become a high-ranking priest. But our Rabsus is the youngest high-ranking priest.”
The other Holy Knights started to agree, saying that Lumena Holy Knight was right. “Our Rabsus will be the youngest cardinal.”
“That’s right. No matter how great their talent is, no one can keep up with Rabsus.”
While secretly listening to the Holy Knights talking among themselves, Rabsus’s heart was pounding, and he ran to his room.

Jeremi gripped his sword with both hands and swung it with all his might. The sound of a *whoosh* made the wooden mannequin stagger. Jeremi didn’t stop there and swung his sword quickly in succession.
As he swung his wooden sword in succession, the staggering wooden mannequin finally broke in half. Only then did Jeremi sheathe his sword. His neck was damp with sweat, but Jeremi felt relieved.
“Well done. You’re getting better and better,” as the instructor clapped his hands and approached, Jeremi smiled proudly and nodded. “Thank you. But I’m still lacking.”
“Lacking? The five of you who were selected here are the best trainees in your grade. Work hard. You have to catch up with Senior Mullu.”
He came here to get revenge on Rembrary, but he never trained carelessly. After Rembrary had visited this place before, he spurred on his training even more. He knew that if Rembrary became a great person and rose to a high position, he would have to be at that level to be by his side. If he couldn’t be by his side, he couldn’t take revenge.
*I must…….*
Jeremi gritted his teeth, thinking of the house that had been a mess, then took the strength out of his jaw when Ninling was smiling brightly at him.
“Why, why?”
“No.”
As Ninling smiled and turned her head, Jeremi rubbed his face with his hands and calmed his mind. He came here using a pseudonym. Since he was disguised as a Holy Knight, he had to hide his malicious intentions.
It was then. Another instructor approached and quickly said something near his instructor. Jeremi grabbed his sword again and glanced at him. But only for a moment, Jeremi turned his attention away, thinking that it was just a matter between instructors.
Then, as he raised his sword, the instructor clapped his hands and shouted. “Wait a minute. Everyone, stop moving.”
Jeremi lowered his sword. *What’s going on?* The other kids also had puzzled faces. As the kids paid attention to him, the instructor smiled mischievously and pointed to the main building with the tip of his sword.
“Remember that trainee priest who came here before?”
Jeremi’s heart dropped. *It’s about Rembrary!*
“That kid came again.”
Jeremi’s liver also dropped. *That bastard came again!*
“You guys are the same age as him, so you might work with him later when you become Holy Knights. Let’s all go and say hello. Let’s show them properly this time that there are a lot of talented people on the trainee Holy Knights’ side too!”
Jeremi almost fainted. What?!
