Extracurricular 10
10. Seeker of the Sword
“Aln Zabi……?”
Caryl muttered in a low voice, gazing at the cascading purple lightning.
[Kneel before the great god, foolish human.]
At the familiar voice uttering such absurd words, Caryl burst into laughter without realizing it.
[Kehehe.]
The speaker also looked at him with a faint smile, as if sharing a joke. There was a hint of joy in his expression.
[Have you been well, brat?]
“Crazy…….”
Caryl shook his head, looking at the welcoming face. Grasping the hand extended towards him tightly, Caryl said.
“To think I would see you again.”
[Didn’t I tell you? We would meet again. Becoming the one to ascend the vacant divine seat to maintain the world has made it difficult to descend to the human realm, except through the grand method of divine revelation… But I have been watching your life all along.]
Aln Zabi looked at Caryl.
[Miliana is a good woman. Congratulations.]
At his words, delivered with a strange smile, Caryl chuckled without realizing it.
“You really were watching.”
[Of course. Aren’t you my disciple’s life? Don’t forget. I am always with you.]
At those words, Caryl was no longer tormented by the fact that the dreams of parting with Aln, which he had occasionally as if to torment himself, were actually foretelling his reunion with him.
“A god with multiple Dimension Spirals… It’s the first time since Lord. It’s only possible because he’s not a god from the beginning but someone who seized the divine seat.”
The Sword Demon approached Aln, their reunion only momentary.
[So it’s you. I heard the story from Olivon. A divine power so intense it could be called a god. Just how many Dimension Spirals do you have?]
The Sword Demon smiled faintly at his question.
[Using just one divine power would take a human’s entire lifespan, yet you have over a dozen and are still fine. And without losing your humanity.]
Aln spoke to the Sword Demon with an astonished expression.
[Are all humans from other dimensions like you?]
“Hardly. I have only stepped slightly into the realm of the gods as a Blader [a warrior who channels dimensional energy].”
[You speak informally.]
“When traveling through different dimensions, there are many things that cannot be viewed solely from a human perspective. Besides, you are no longer human, so you shouldn’t cling to human standards.”
[Heh heh. You speak well. Yes, I like that. One cannot view dimensions with the narrow perspective of humans.]
Aln looked at the Sword Demon.
Clack-
As he snapped his fingers, the collapsing Pharell [a type of dimensional construct] disappeared, and a new space appeared.
[The multiple gods who constructed this dimension have disappeared, and I have taken their vacant divine seat to prevent the collapse of the world. Naturally, I also possess their Dimension Spirals.]
A box slowly emerged from below the ground, and as he waved his hand, the lid of the box opened, revealing eight fragments neatly arranged inside.
[One was divided into seven pieces by that child and sealed on the continent, and these are the remaining fragments except for the one I possess.]
“Wait, what makes you think you can give the fragments to him?”
Caryl stopped Aln, who was about to hand over the box.
[Stop it, you fool. You may be human and not understand, but as one sitting on the divine seat, I can sense his strength better than anyone. He is not someone we can handle. Yula, who boasted about being a god with just one or two fragments, is utterly laughable in comparison.]
“…….”
Caryl pursed his lips at Aln’s answer.
Clack-
It was then.
Just as the Sword Demon was about to reach for the box, Aln, as if waiting for this moment, put strength into his hand placed on the lid of the box.
“What does this mean?”
[Giving this to you is not difficult. But it wouldn’t be fun if I just gave it to you, would it? I understand your situation well enough, but we need something in return, don’t you think?]
“Are you suggesting a deal with me? For someone who has become a god, you’re being petty and scheming.”
[Better than those who pretend to be noble and use humans as tools to avoid dirtying their own hands. Don’t you think? It would be easier for you if I clearly define what I want instead of beating around the bush.]
“What do you want?”
[You’re easy to talk to. If it were Caryl, he would have drawn his sword first.]
Aln said, laughing heartily.
[First. In exchange for giving you these fragments, promise not to interfere in this world any further. Promise that this world will not be caught up in the dimensional war you are preparing for.]
“Dimensional wars are bound to break out, just like the Great War did. Even a war in just one world involved ten dimensions. Your killing of the remaining gods led to the destruction of their worlds.”
Caryl looked at him coldly.
“Sacrifice is inevitable in war. Don’t you think it’s selfish to ask for a safe zone only for yourselves?”
[You easily obtained the remaining Dimension Spirals because of that. I think that’s payment enough.]
“If there’s a first, that means there’s more than one condition. What’s next?”
[I do like your personality. The second is not to touch the fragments of God remaining in this world.]
“Are you referring to the one you have?”
[No. I’m talking about the seven divided pieces of the fragment.]
“Why?”
[They say hope was in Pandora’s box, right? I believe that fragmented piece will become the hope of humanity.]
“You… have crossed dimensions before?”
[Hehehe… I don’t like sitting idly during my free time. While having the fragments of God, Yula and the other gods were confined to their own dimensions. I was curious about the reason. If the universe is vast, why fight in this narrow place when you could become the master of a wider world?]
“The conclusion?”
[It’s because they were weak. But I, unlike them, have nine Dimension Spirals. I crossed dimensions and saw the worlds of other dimensions. And it was very interesting.]
The Sword Demon raised one corner of his mouth at his answer.
[Caryl. What he says is true. The dimensional war will happen. I have seen other dimensions besides our world.]
Aln looked at Caryl.
[You wouldn’t understand why we should care about other dimensions. But can you believe it? When I explored various dimensions through the power of God, there was surprisingly someone exactly like you in the 77th dimension that makes up this world, and there was also a dimension where Aln Zabi was alive and well.]
“What does that mean…? Another me? Are you talking about a doppelganger? That’s just simple black magic.”
[Hehehe. That’s not it.]
Aln chuckled at Caryl’s words and lightly patted his shoulder.
“Parallel worlds. But each dimension clearly has its own history. As you said, the Aln of this world is a spirit who ascended to the divine seat, but in another dimension, he might be living a futile life.”
The Sword Demon nodded at Aln’s words and added.
[Even if the ‘me’ in another dimension lives an unhappy life, it doesn’t mean we have to help them for that reason. As he said, they have their own history.]
Caryl looked at him in disbelief.
[But we must bear one obligation for interfering in the dimensions.]
“What is it?”
[Do you remember that we missed the seed left in the belly of the tenth god?]
Caryl nodded.
[The dimension created by that god, who inherited the name Rakshumu, will clearly be an evil god who curses humans, unlike the other gods. The lives of the humans who will live in that dimension can be seen as being defined by suffering due to us.]
“But only the power of God can influence other dimensions. Even if I wanted to help them, there’s no way.”
[But you have divine power, don’t you?]
At Aln’s words, the Sword Demon chuckled as if he finally understood his intentions.
[The seven fragmented pieces of God. Rather, the broken pieces will be the best material to secretly influence other dimensions while deceiving the eyes of God. Caryl. You will use that to create it.]
Aln said in a low voice towards him.
[The strongest weapon in the human realm.]
* * *
“My lord.”
Caryl slowly opened his eyes.
The Pharell that had been in the Thousand-Year Ice Cave had disappeared, and in the large hollow left in its place, he felt as if he had dreamed a dream.
“It is complete.”
But at the voice coming towards him, Caryl once again felt that the collapsed Pharell was reality.
“You’ve worked hard.”
The person standing in front of him was none other than Calibson.
Not only him.
Nine Darhon, Serga, Bertch Blano, Kadin Ruer, Deryl Harian, Wingel Hart, Anthem Howard, the Thunder Clan, and even the Iron Clan.
The moment when the geniuses of the continent and the skilled heads of the northern families all gathered in one place was by no means an ordinary day.
And a single weapon visible before his eyes.
It was a sword.
“You’ve really done something unbelievable.”
Deryl Harian asked Caryl. He smiled faintly with a gaunt face that was clearly exhausted.
“Yes, it’s unbelievable. I really thought I was going to die. I don’t know how much magic power we poured into it… It’s an amazing thing because the power of the archmages is all condensed in this.”
At his words, Nine Darhon also shook his head as if he was disgusted. The dark circles under his eyes stood out even more because of his pale skin.
Clank-
As Nine Darhon nodded, Calibson brought a small box. Inside were six pieces that had been crafted, each with a different color, looking like jewels.
“We have imbued the fragments of God with attributes. It’s just a trick, but with the archmage’s barrier magic, the fragments will look like ordinary attribute stones.”
Caryl nodded at his words.
“Is it really possible?”
Miliana, entering the entrance of the Ice Cave, carefully wrapped her slightly swollen belly and stood next to him.
“Whether what we created will exist in another dimension.”
“Well. This is just a possibility. Don’t expect that this will promise victory to the humans of another dimension.”
Miliana slowly nodded at his words.
“Humans are not that weak.”
“Yes. Even in another dimension, they will resist God in their own way. I just hope it will be a small help on that path.”
[This is enough.]
Whoosh……!!
Black smoke took shape in front of Caryl. Miliana waved her hand at him with a welcoming face.
“It’s been a while, Aln.”
[Hehe. The child in your belly seems to be growing well. I would like to give a blessing as a god, but blessings are grace that doesn’t suit me.]
“Don’t worry. This child will grow up stronger than anyone else.”
[Yes. Whose child would it be otherwise?]
“Are you really going to leave with the Sword Demon? You were the one in the position of God who governs this world. If you disappear, we will become a dimension without God.”
[Hehe… But you’re here, aren’t you? What are you afraid of when you’ve even killed God?]
Caryl gave a bitter smile at Aln’s words.
“Don’t worry about this world. At least as long as I’m here, this place will be safe from the flames of war. I’ll keep my promise.”
The Sword Demon, who was watching the two, said to him.
[Caryl. If you also dream of a wider world, we may meet again in another dimension.]
“No thanks. I like it here.”
[Hehe. Yes. But I am one who desires exploration more than peace. A war with God… There’s nothing more interesting than that.]
“You can look forward to it. You will be a great supporting actor on the new stage I will create.”
Aln laughed and shrugged lightly at the Sword Demon’s words.
“We are now ready to decorate the real ending in the Thousand-Year Ice Cave, where everything began.”
Whoosh……!!
At the same time as Caryl’s words ended, Aln scattered black smoke and slowly flew up into the sky.
[Yes. It’s time to end it. I will give one divine revelation to the cursed world that Rakshumu will create with the divine power I have.]
At the same time as Aln’s words ended, Calibson carefully took out the small sword forged with magic from the mold and lifted it up.
[The 7 families will now exist as 7 kingdoms, and even in new places that hold our history, even in other dimensions, the 7 kingdoms will be eternal.]
Grasp-
Caryl grabbed the sword.
The shape of the sword was unique, with six holes drilled in the middle of the blade, the same size as the pieces that were in the box earlier.
“Everyone, receive it.”
At the end of his words, the heads of the 7 families simultaneously grabbed their respective fragments.
“This sword made with divine power will carry on my will, and the Blood Oath, which means the eternity of the 7 kingdoms, will exist forever in the small sword.”
Woo-woo-woo…
The sword that Caryl was holding vibrated lightly as if reacting to that power.
“And whoever obtains the Sword of the Blood Oath and gathers all the remaining fragments will gain a power stronger than anyone else.”
Everyone gathered in the north was now looking at him.
“But it will never be easy to obtain. This sword, which will be divided and sealed to deceive the eyes of God, will gain the trust of many and will only be won by a recognized leader.”
His voice echoed.
“I hope… that this sword can be of some help to those who seek to commit Godslaying in other dimensions.”
[Now. Caryl.]
At the same time as Aln’s words ended, the six heads holding the fragments raised the pieces above their heads.
“I name it. Those who truly wish to achieve the will of Godslaying will surely obtain our weapon.”
Swoosh……!!!
The fragments soared into the sky as if disappearing beyond dimensions, and watching the scene, Caryl slowly raised his sword.
“The name of this weapon is…….”
Caryl said in a low voice, looking at the small sword disappearing far away.
“Seeker of the Sword.”

Author’s Note
Nice to meet you.
I am happy to be able to greet you again like this. I am more worried than anything else about whether the short side story I prepared gave you pleasure.
The reason I am leaving this author’s note is to tell you various stories that I could not tell from the time I prepared the story to after the end.
In fact, this side story can be said to be a story that contains small fun for those who have read my previous works and some stories about my next new work.
The Ascending Blade, The King of Skills, and 9th Class Sword Master, which I have written so far, are each individual stories, but they share one worldview called Pharell.
That’s why while serializing 9th Class Sword Master, I received many inquiries about the background and materials that resembled my previous work, The King of Skills.
I hope that this side story will resolve some of those questions.
The identity of the Sword Demon and the origin of the strongest weapon in the human realm, the Seeker of the Sword, and the appearance of Rakshumu are elements that are also connected to my previous works.
Of course, I tried to create a complete story with each novel alone in order to eliminate the compulsion to read all the novels, but if you enjoyed 9th Class Sword Master or are curious about them, I think you will feel another fun if you look at the remaining previous works.
Of course, I would like to ask for your understanding that there will be even more shortcomings as it is a work written in the past. Lastly, these materials will also be continued in my next new work.
It seems that this will be the last story of Pharell, and the story will unfold in a completely different background, so I will try to give you new fun.
Therefore, please wait a little longer with a lot of anticipation and interest for the next novel, and I promise to come back to you with a new work.
Once again, I sincerely thank the readers who have loved my writing.
I will come back with a new work that I am preparing and stand before you with a more developed appearance than this time.
Thank you.
