00001 Prologue =========================================================================
Yoon Young-jae (27), the San Antonio Spurs’ point guard and the first Korean to play in the NBA Finals, was found dead near the Golden Gate Bridge around 4 a.m. on the 22nd.
U.S. authorities reported that Yoon Young-jae’s blood alcohol level was significantly above the legal limit for driving, leading them to suspect his death was a tragic accident caused by drunk driving.
Yoon Young-jae was the second Korean player to enter the NBA, joining the San Antonio Spurs. He earned a championship ring as a member of the team during their 2014 Finals victory.

However, a severe ankle injury sustained during a league game sidelined him for the remainder of the season.
After signing a non-guaranteed contract, his performance failed to rebound despite rehabilitation and recovery efforts. Following the termination of his contract, he did not receive any formal offers from other teams.
In recent times, Yoon Young-jae had been the subject of controversy due to frequent alcohol consumption, instances of aggressive and abusive language, and erratic behavior. Reports indicated that he was considering a move to overseas leagues and a potential return to the KBL [Korean Basketball League].
Following the news of his death, players from the San Antonio Spurs attended his funeral…
