Sejun, thank you for the meal! This is the seventh time I’ve eaten so well since I was born! I won’t forget this kindness!
This is my third time. I won’t forget this kindness!
This is my first time…
Bayon and his subordinates finished their pork belly. They bowed, expressing their gratitude to Sejun.
[You have fed 10 Red Tower Foxes to their fill.]
[>Title: Saint Who Feeds to Fullness> All stats increase by 2 due to the effect.]
[Your soul is filled with the pouring praise.]
[Your mental strength increases by 8.]
Heh heh heh. Good.
Sejun smiled as he checked the messages.
Beep!
[Sejun, we’re here! We even got some slaves on the way!]
Sejun, hello! But can we eat grilled pork?
Bbyot and Yuren arrived with the Brown Tower Foxes. The foxes looked dejected at the thought of becoming slaves.
Wait a minute. Bbyot, let’s eat this.
Sssssss.
Sejun put the pork belly on the grill. Then, he got some peanuts and walnuts for Bbyot.
Bbyot!
[Thank you!]
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Bbyot happily ate 5 peanuts and 1 walnut.
Okay. You can eat now.
Sejun cut the grilled pork and placed it on a plate.
Woohoo! Thank you for the food!
Yuren had prepared a wrap. She put three pieces of grilled pork on it, shoved it into her mouth, chewed, and then prepared the next wrap.
Yuren ate with amazing speed, making wrap after wrap, hardly pausing to breathe.
Sigh.
Gulp.
Sejun saw the brown foxes. They were watching the pork belly, their mouths watering.
Why aren’t they eating?
Sejun thought they would eat together in the cafeteria. He hadn’t told them to eat separately.
Those cruel guys, isn’t this too much?!
The brown foxes thought Sejun and Yuren were tormenting them by making them stand there.
It’ll get cold and not taste as good… do they only eat vegetables?
If we even touch the food, they’ll make an example of us and inflict some terrible torture.
Sejun and the brown foxes were thinking completely opposite things.
I’m just going to eat and die!
Whoosh.
One of the young brown foxes couldn’t bear the hunger. She quickly snatched a piece of grilled pork and began to eat.
Ah! They didn’t eat because I didn’t give them forks!
Sena, I told you to be patient! What should I do?!
Sejun and the brown foxes were surprised for different reasons.
Wow! It melts in my mouth! It’s so delicious!
Sena quickly finished one piece of grilled pork and started another.
Thud.
Sejun hurriedly took out several forks to give to the brown foxes.
Are they going to torture us with those?!
The brown foxes hid Sena behind them, taking a defensive stance.
What’s going on?
Sejun found the brown foxes’ fearful attitude strange.
Here. Use these to eat.
Stab. Stab.
Sejun, in a kind voice, picked up the grilled pork with the forks and handed them out to the brown foxes, like an employee at a food tasting corner.
T-thank you.
Thank you for the food…
The brown foxes were flustered but accepted the forks from Sejun. They quickly put the grilled pork in their mouths.
Delicious!
So good!
They couldn’t believe the taste of the meat they hadn’t had in so long. They began to frantically grab the grilled pork with both front paws and eat.
If they hadn’t eaten at all, they might have resisted. But once they started, they couldn’t stop.
The grilled pork ran out. Sejun brought out more grilled pork, different cuts just as delicious.
Crunch. Crunch.
The brown foxes were so busy filling their stomachs that they didn’t notice the type of meat had changed.
A little later.
Heh heh. Bbyot!
[Heh heh. I’m full!]
Woohoo. I’m full.
I can’t believe I ate so much meat…
Yuren and the brown foxes had eaten all of Sejun’s pork. They patted their bellies, happy and full.
[You have fed 130 Brown Tower Foxes to their fill.]
[>Title: Saint Who Feeds to Fullness> All stats increase by 26 due to the effect.]
[Your soul is filled with the pouring praise.]
[Your mental strength increases by 13.]
Heh heh heh.
Sejun had lost meat but gained stats. He was also happy.
When the meal was over,
Heh heh. I’m full.
Sena, was it delicious?
Yes! It was really delicious!
Sejun spoke to Sena, who seemed to be the least wary.
But why didn’t you eat at first?
The brown foxes had thrown away the forks and were eating the meat with their bare paws. So, the problem wasn’t the forks.
Well… because we’re called slaves… it’s a big deal if a slave eats the master’s food without permission. Could it be?! Are you going to punish us for eating so much meat?!
Sena suddenly asked, her voice frightened. She looked at Sejun with fearful eyes.
No! No! Absolutely not! Why would I punish you for eating a lot of meat?!
Sejun strongly denied Sena’s words and reassured her.
The kids around him were fine even after being called slaves, so I thought it was okay until now…
Well, the word ‘slave’ is very negative.
I need to revise the policy a bit.
Sejun decided to change the policy to improve the image of Sejun Company.
Sejun felt a wave of tiredness wash over him after the busy meal. ‘First things first, I need to talk to Theo about this policy change,’ he thought, yawning.
But where did Theo go?
Bbyot, find Theo for me.
Bbyot!
[Yes!]
He had Bbyot find Theo to discuss how to change the company policy.
Thud.
While waiting, lying on the bed,
I shouldn’t fall asleep yet…
I have something to say to Theo…
I haven’t eaten mugwort yet…
Kroooooh.
Unable to resist sleep, Sejun fell into a doze.
The outskirts of destruction.
Boom.
Jormungandr arrived with his powerful friends Kraken and Hydra to take Leviathan.
Jormungandr, you’ve come! Thank you, everyone!
Leviathan expressed gratitude to the vampire apostles of destruction.
Oh! Welcome! Jormungandr! Kraken! Hydra!
Halphas greeted the apostles of destruction with delight.
Halphas, why did you call us?
Jormungandr asked Halphas the reason for the summons. Since they had come all this way, they thought they should at least hear the reason.
Why did I call you again?
Halphas was so angry that the apostles of destruction hadn’t come that he had forgotten why he had summoned them.
Then we shall be going.
Okay.
Jormungandr disappeared with the vampire apostles of destruction.
What was I going to do?
Halphas looked around the desolate landscape. Dust swirled at his feet, and the sky was a bruised purple.
“Ah,” he sighed, a sound like dry leaves rustling. “I must destroy the world.”
As he spoke, the red in his eyes seemed to burn brighter, like hot coals glowing in the dark.
But far away, in a place untouched by Halphas’s dark intentions, dawn was breaking. High in the Black Tower, on the 99th floor, a small creature giggled.
“Hee hee hee! Squeak! [Hee hee! Butler, swallow this!]”
Kkamangi, the small black creature, held a glowing purple stone. “This will make you a little stronger!” It carefully placed the purified Violet core fragment near Sejun’s mouth.
*Plop*. With a gentle press of its tiny paw, *swish*, *gulp*, the stone slid down Sejun’s throat. Normally, mixing different core fragments was dangerous, but Kkamangi knew Fenrir’s core was special. ‘Absorb my core!’ it thought proudly. Fenrir’s core, from the wolf who hunted gods, could eat any kind of energy.
Happy to have helped, *thump*, Kkamangi settled onto Sejun’s chest, listening to his heartbeat. *Ba-dump. Ba-dump.*
“Hee hee. The butler’s heart is beating well.” Content, Kkamangi closed its eyes and fell asleep again. And so, the dawn arrived quietly, with everyone still dreaming.
“Hurry! Hurry!” Mason yelled, wiping sweat from his brow. “We won’t sell all these tickets by tomorrow if you don’t move faster!” He and Jeras were part of the Wandering Merchant Association, using their network to sell Harvest Festival tickets on every floor of the Black Tower.
From a nearby perch, Theo watched, tail twitching. “Puhuhu,” he purred, his voice laced with greed. “Sell the tickets for 100 million Tower Coins, meow! And give Mason 10,000 Tower Coins for each one sold, meow!”
Even though Mason got very little compared to Theo, the price of the tickets was so high that he would still make good money. And more importantly, selling tickets to the Harvest Festival, especially since the great Black Dragon would be there, would make the Wandering Merchant Association famous and respected. It was a very good business deal.
As dawn broke, people who had bought tickets from the Wandering Merchant Association started to go up the tower, excited for the festival.
“Oof,” Sejun groaned, opening his eyes. Messages floated in front of him.
[You have forcibly consumed a purified Violet core fragment.]
[Fenrir’s core fragment devours 0.003% of Violet’s power.]
[0.002% of power is absorbed into Fenrir’s core fragment.]
[0.0149% of Fenrir’s power accumulates in your body.]
“Is this Kkamangi’s doing again?” Sejun wondered, looking down. Sure enough, the small black creature was asleep on his chest.
“Good job, you little rascal,” he murmured, gently patting Kkamangi’s soft bottom. His shirt was wet with drool, but Sejun decided to ignore it. Kkamangi had probably done something good again.
*Hee hee hee.* Kkamangi giggled in its sleep, enjoying the pats. Sejun smiled, listening to Kkamangi’s happy sounds, and then looked at the next message.
[The Seal of the Earth Jewel has been lifted.]
[The God of Cleanliness, Cleaning, repays your kindness by teaching you the skill – Cleanliness Maintenance Lv. 1.]
“…Cleanliness Maintenance?” Sejun blinked, rubbing his eyes. He read the skill description carefully.
[Cleanliness Maintenance Lv. 1] -Keeps the area within a 10cm radius around the hand using the skill clean.
“Hmm…” Sejun thought. “It cleans around my hand?” *Hee hee… Squeak…* Kkamangi stirred on his chest, drooling a little more. Sejun picked up Kkamangi and, with a smile, said, “Cleanliness Maintenance.”
He pointed his hand at his drool-soaked shirt. Instantly, as if by magic, the wet patch disappeared. His clothes were spotless. *Sniff. Sniff.* Even the faint sweet smell of Kkamangi was gone.
“Oh! This is amazing! Cleanliness Maintenance. Cleanliness Maintenance!” Sejun grinned, now focusing the skill on Kkamangi and Theo – the main sources of mess in his life. “Thank you, Cleaning-nim, five stars!” he thought, giving the skill a high score in his mind.
Feeling refreshed after ‘washing’ his face with Cleanliness Maintenance, *swish*, Sejun marked the date on the wall. Day 445 had begun.
Stepping outside, Sejun saw them. The raccoon market was back! Near the Grape Cluster Altar, lots of little tents and stalls had been set up. “Wow,” Sejun thought, “it’s much bigger this time.”
He remembered only a few stalls before, but now there were over twenty, maybe more. The Harvest Festival was definitely getting bigger.
As Sejun walked towards the market, he heard a low growling sound. *Grrrr.* He looked around and saw them – foxes. Their eyes were fixed on the raccoon market, and they were licking their lips hungrily. These weren’t the foxes from the Silver, Red, and Brown Towers that Sejun fed. These were other foxes, and they looked very hungry. Sejun knew this could be trouble.
*Kkueng!* [Daddy, good morning!]
Kkuengi, who had enjoyed a good night’s sleep, approached Sejun and greeted him.
Scamper scamper. The foxes quickly hid at Kkuengi’s appearance. The foxes remembered seeing Kkuengi chase Bayon away yesterday, and they knew Kkuengi was strong.
And then, “Oh my! Kkuengi-nim, did you sleep well!” Bayon, the fox who had been chased away yesterday, rushed towards Kkuengi, trying to be friendly.
*Kkueng!* [Yes! I slept well!]
Kkuengi replied happily. “I see! I slept well too! It’s good to see another red-furred friend!” Bayon said, holding out his paw for Kkuengi to shake. But *Kkueng!* [Kkuengi’s fur isn’t red, it’s crimson!]
Kkuengi turned his nose up.
“Of course! That’s right!” Bayon quickly corrected himself. “Compared to Kkuengi-nim’s amazing and beautiful crimson fur, my fur is just plain red.” His words were very flattering.
Sejun watched, shaking his head slightly. *This isn’t good for Kkuengi,* he thought. “Bayon, keep an eye on the market area,” Sejun said, giving Bayon a job to do, and also to keep him away from Kkuengi.
And then, “Theo, Vice President.”
“Meow?!” Theo replied, turning his head quickly.
“Our Sejun Company needs to improve how people see us,” Sejun explained. “So, from now on, we won’t have any more slaves in Sejun Company.” He told Theo about the new plan he had thought of yesterday.
“Meow?! Release all the slaves, meow?” Theo looked very disappointed at the idea of letting go of the slaves they had worked so hard to catch.
“No,” Sejun said, smiling slightly. “We’ll just call them something different.”
“Puhuhu! As expected of Chairman Park, meow! I understand, meow! So, what will we call them from now on?!” Theo asked, his voice bright again, happy that they weren’t losing their slaves.
“From now on, slaves with a limited time will be called non-regular employees, and slaves forever will be called regular employees.”
“Puhuhu! Chairman Park is truly amazing, meow! Employees sounds much better than slaves, meow!”
“Hehe,” Sejun chuckled, feeling pleased with himself. “From now on, you can call me the master of making things look good.”
“Then we should change the name of this too, meow!” Theo exclaimed, suddenly excited. “Hermes-nim, please change the name of this, meow!” Theo asked the God of Merchants, Hermes, to change the names of the slave seals in all five towers.
